At about the ,1:20 mark this guy showed off a device that you sort of rest your wrist on, but it's like the glides are on the bottom like a mouse. Might help with your wrist if you're still having issues

Tbh i wouldn't. The question coming from someone from the older generations who doesn't really understand video games and the internet, it's pretty understandable for them to be wondering or even possibly concerned about this thing that their kid/grandkid spends all their time on and seem obsessed with. Looking for thoughts and perspective from an actual adult who's in the same sphere and who has experience with this kind of stuff is pretty rational honestly. Just because you're a specialist in your field doesn't mean that you automatically also have a basic grasp of everything else around you.
But yeah, the fact that the question comes up in the middle of a doctor's examination is pretty amusing ngl

Take it from someone with a chronic condition. The longer you have it, the better you get at living with it. Things like proper medication, physical therapy, small excerises to ease the stiffness/pain, etc always help a ton but just adjusting to living with it and getting good at learning your conditions triggers will go a looong way. My chronic condition tends to come and go, and Move... So I'll be adjusting to it one day, and the next I'll need to readjust because it's caused a different stress point to trigger so I just keep fighting with it never really reaching a compromise

@8koi245 mine isn't carpal tunnel, but it is also a condition that can't be cured and will only slowly worsen as time passes. I'm not saying go full "Boston be a man" and do it yourself. Absolutely find a good orthopedic doctor and get proper care. I'm just saying you learn the things you do that upset the condition and learn to change them with time. Professional good but make your own efforts as guided by said professionals as well, ya know?

Oh man. I remember one time a few years ago on a school trip I somehow got into a conversation with one of my teachers and it lead toward streaming and talking to me about Fortnite. That was one surreal experience, especially as someone who never got into it and sick of hearing about it all the time.

On a side note, the most casual answer I'd give to the "what do you do" is "the work I do is computer related, so I'm on it all day". If they try and pry, technically you could say design (without mentioning vtuber models/animation) or testing programs (games) so you don't have to mention the vtuber/streamer aspect. If they pry more, slap em with the NDA or throw em for a loop if you wanna troll. Normally you shouldn't be telling specifics of what your company is developing for customers if it hasn't been approved for release yet anyways.

Baldur's Gate was of course just released so it was the first thing that came to mind. I've been having wrist pain (which extends to the whole arm up to the shoulder) for years and last summer i started training with hand grippers and it got sooo much better.
i remember being in the hospital with my heart and after they gave me a shock to stop my heart from going haywire the nurse straight up asked me how she could buy V-bucks for her son haha

oohh yeahh. my wrist would start hurting a lot when i've been on my pc for multiple days and such. Normally what helps is resting/ not using my pc, moving my wrist around more and taking warm baths to help the joints and muscles in my wrist lol.
