I used to collect a lot of Italian Luxury and Lifestyle Magazines that were in english. very valuable. but at $24 an issue, it became an expensive resource! anyway, for ads and even articles i liked in this magazines, i would tear them out and keep in a big white binder which i still have.
very valuable, aesthetically pleasing references for design and layout applicable for both site design and for digital advertising.

@@AshlynWrites thanks for the reply! i cant remember the exact titles of the magazines...1 or 2 of them have gone out of print as the articles and ads i tore out of those magazines were from many years ago - prior to 2010 before publications digitized their media. they sadly weren't able to keep up with the suscription model and never switched to a digital edition. so they closed up shop, as you might expect like so many magazine publishers had no choice to do.

i have copied words and phrases etc onto my trello file, hadn't thought about swiping anyone elses words and turning them into mine

Thank you for another useful gem of information! I'm wondering how you organize your Swipe File. I've been keeping my own copy bank for a month now and have been organizing it by topic/theme of message but not sure if that's the best.
I'd also be interested in hearing more about the books your recommend and why you like those books.
Also, do you think it's possible to write an effective article on a topic using a template? I'm often assigned to write about things I know little about. A manager of another department (also writing related) said he was going to create a template for this exact purpose. While I think this is great for those times when I'm really stuck, I wonder if that will curb creativity. Scripted articles may come of as...well, scripted. What do you think?

I think templates can be really really helpful, I use them ALL the time in any of my "reoccurring" tasks. With something like this I definitely think it could be helpful! :) xx.

GREAT question, buddy! I've seen some on Pinterest before! I'd recommend installing GoFullPage as a Chrome plugin, that way you can download a PDF/PNG full page screenshot as you peruse the internet. Let me know if you have any other questions. :)
