Sending a vampire into space makes perfect sense. They don't need to breathe, the rocket and suit will protect them from the sun's rays, they don't need to sleep, they only have ONE thing that they consume for sustenance and it's probably the cheapest thing you could get them. Depending on how often they need to feed and how much it'd be insanely much cheaper on food supplies to have a crew of vampires than humans. They heal quickly so injuries are no issue, and they don't get sick even if the person they feed on/from is sick. Less weight from medical supplies. Less weight from Life Support systems not needing to be a thing other than heating so they don't freeze solid. Less weight from only one type of food needing to be onboard to completely sustain them. They can't die of old age, so they'd be perfect for far-off colonization efforts that take more than a few years to travel to, and for constructing planet-side habitats. Every pound means more money spent and more fuel needed. Money not spent on those things would mean it could be put into other aspects of the project to increase chances of success and return of the crew intact. They'd also be great for oceanic bases for the same reasons minus the rocket and replaced with a submarine because they're under water. Kind of makes me wish vampires were real. Or rather, *are* real.

I really enjoy this anime with Irina the vampire waifu, but it feels kinda weird since the history is almost the same as ours but slightly different. If you like some romance/historical/militiary genre, I'd recommend you to watch this anime.
I cant even draw a perfect stickman but atleast i can draw a stickman tank army with dead stickman fighting other stickman and some stickman with assault rifles, snipers, knifes, and lmgs. So they can make perfect lines and perfect animations i cant even keep my damn camera still, this whole anime if i made it will just be stickman talking with my different tones of voice. Why am i talking about stickmen again?

Glad that it went to the "wholesome route".
What a sigh of relief i had there for the end when both of them are great platonic comrades. It's good to know that there are animes out there that don't sexualize women and diffuses the cliche stereotype of a boy & girl being romantically involved. This is a great anime with Great plot especially for the satisfying ending.

Probable arrest for treason (and Soviet prisons are a farcry from modern day prisons which still honestly suck). But even then, it wouldn't have taken much to switch imprisonment to execution. You want a taste? Go to Russia now. It's technically not the Soviet Union anymore, but their leader hasn't abandoned their tactics. Go mouth off against their government and see what happens.

Man, I just love this anime the style, story, and overall feeling it has is so overwhelming (in a good way) especially if you like space themes. This anime captures the empty silent (not) atmosphere of space so nicely. for me the training sites and forest have a cold and lonely yet comforting feeling. which makes the scenes with other people and warm brightly lit places feel even more comfortable. also, the relation ship between Irina and Lev is cute lol.
This reminded me a kindergarten song that we used to memorize in Mongolia song written for first humans to fly outer space and the first Mongolian to fly outer space
