Wrong. You guys start out automatically with it's not going to take somebody's driver out of the bag...what!!!!? Do you know how many guys can't hit their driver for squat? Wormburners, out of bounds, tops etc... there are so many amateurs who can't deal with the length of drivers. The shorter shaft and bigger head and more loft will totally be a better option for thousands of golfers as a driver replacement. Yeah, sure, many of those guys would be better served with a fitting to find a shorter shaft for their driver to get really dialed in etc, etc....but that's not the reality of how the vast majority of golfers do it. They do a little research and then buy something off the rack. I get it ain't right for you. But Dude, you look dumb saying nobody is going to use this as a driver replacement.
So to confirm I have a Cobra LDTx turned down to 8 degrees and have just bought this in 13.5. I can guarantee that my unruly Cobra will be on eBay by the weekend. I have gaped the BRNR with a PXG Gen 5 0311XF 3 hybrid this combination will give me a perfect top end of the bag.
I have put the 11.5 Mini Driver in the bag. It is a great second option off the tee. Especially for the holes when a driver is too much club and those tight fairways. It is a great option.
Great Review! For those saying this is a pointless club… It may be pointless for you, but lots of guys have and love this weapon. Including me! I am a higher launch, high spin player. This in an 11.5 turned down .75 degrees is a fantastic addition. I carry an 8° driver so this being 2 plus inches shorter than my 46” driver fits in nicely to a spot that goes about 20 ish yards less than my driver. Also, this thing is crazy accurate. I can hit it off of the deck even at a low loft and it’s just so versatile off of the tee. There’s definitely a place for this and I’m glad it looks just as good as it performs.
I’m old skol.. My favorite was the great grandfather to this club, the TM Bubble shaft. Prior to that I used a Calloway Warbird 3 wood that I could hit that further than most could hit driver. When drivers went to big heads, they left me behind. I dont like the looks, the mushy feel or dead sound you get from them. I often play without driver or 3w in the bag and tee off with a U510 1 iron. I would trade my driver, 3w , a Klondike Bar and cash for one of these in 13.5 and be happy to hit it off the tee and I say that having never hit one. Thats how unhappy I am with my current clubs in that range. At 53 yo.. Give me 260+ down the middle and your going to have a long day keeping up out of the cabbage patch if you cant keep driver in the fairway.
What weight and stiffness is your 3 woods ? I have a Qi10 driver with 6X blue velocore plus and looking at getting my Qi 3 wood in blue velocore 8X and rescue in Blue 9X thoughts ? Or should I go 7X and 8X in 3wood and hybrid thanks

I’m not sure why you say it can’t take the driver out of the bag. There’s plenty of golfers that would benefit using a mini driver rather than a standard driver. So many golfers have no business even hitting driver
Yeah I can see your perspective there. But with most golfers, making the sweet spot smaller (i.e. 3-wood or mini driver) is not the best solution either.
Can't take the word of a golfer that says, "I'm having to compress but I always compress". What the hell does that mean? I'm having to use golf clubs but I always use golf clubs.
I guess I dont understand the comment... A Ton of golfers hit "Up" on the ball even with there irons... Which does not compress the ball... 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching Jay
i just bought the 24 mini driver. Super cool club easy to hit. For sure not replacing anything in the bag with it though, just keeping it around as a back up driver and a course specific club. Too many people are getting weird about this "something to replace in the bag" thing lol. I"m not replacing anything like i said-course specific club, back up driver. i go through phases where i start hitting my driver like shit and this is perfect to keep around in the garage for when that happens. I say give it a try and don't start getting weird about the replacing something else in your bag deal lol
nice review. I updated to Qi10 from Pxg gen 4. Thanks to your reviews. landed on tensei AV blue S. It was the best shaft for me that didnt require paying to upgrade lol. I left TM years ago and found stealth to be awful. but Qi10 is the club of the year for sure. mini drive seems cool but unnecessary
I’d argue the 11.5 can be a driver replacement. If you dial it down to 10 or 9.5, the loft is comparable to a driver. For me, it’s easier to hit than a driver because of the shorter shaft, and because of that, I’m finding mor fairways.

(Currently me) I play 4 wood and 7 wood. my driver is unpredictable and honestly goes the same distance as my 4 wood. I have a 5 hybrid and 5 iron that go the same distance I could easily remove 5 iron from the bag for this.

I game a 13.5
I put a 3 wood shaft in it and use it off the tee as a fairway finder on tight holes. I also carry a 4 wood for shots off the fairway.
