Patricia Scott yes my heart is breaking. Dear family friend on ventilator for 2 weeks is having his machines shut off at noon today (25 min ago). This is what I can’t handle emotionally....the isolation of family members being by sides of their loved ones. His wife is only one allowed there and then she has to go quarantine for 12 days again. Just praying for Christ’s return soon.
They aren't alone. There are members of their deceased family with them. I know this because as my sister lay dying I saw my grandfather in her room. He looked as alive as he did the last time I saw him as a child. Take comfort from this because it is true. No one dies alone.
I cry when I hear him sing this. I am a widow and miss my husband among many others in my life. I will be glad when all this is past and I am with the LORD forever and we all will meet again!!

David is a man of God and his love for our Father in Heaven and our savior Jesus Christ is so strong! He is still a great example of what it’s like to love the Lord and do your best to live a Christ like life. He has morals, which a lot of people lack. There were several young men who were contestants on American Idol that let us know that their faith was strong, Jason Castro, David Archuleta, and Scotty McCreery, there may have been others, but these three really stood out in my mind. David is such a sweetheart.

I'm Jewish but the music from FINLANDIA, Be Still My Soul, circumvents all religions or non-religions. It was a force against the Russians when the were trying to take over Finland. It kept the Finns fighting on, to their survival.
P.S. The imagery of Sibelius taking shots at evil with his rifle in the fields of Finland must have been profoundly effective in motivating his country men against The Nazi's.

Wow. I have this memorized now. It was sung at my mom's funeral September 2018. This song has been a comfort to me. I learned about the origin of the lyrics. The author's family was lost at sea. He went to where they perished and the words came to him. They give comfort to those in mourning. Peace.
I feel so privilege to attend a session with him at Cebu Philippine Temple before he left for his mission...a very humble guy who doesn't even want to be recognized by so many who attended the session that day,and even came in to the room when the session nearly going to start so no one will notice him. i love this guy....keep it up David....I love your voice!

David, your voice is a gift from the Lord. Never forget the Lord has given you that gift. He blessed me with a very good voice as child, also. There are so many influences in this world that pull you away from giving of your gift. I hope by Faith the Lord will always guard you & guide you. Do not let anything, anyone nor any circumstance, even sin; keep you from using that nice gift to worship the Creator. The Mormons are a great group & the choir & orchestra always. Giving justice to songs of the Faith & they spiritually uplift so many Earth-wide. People they never know nor hear a story of testimony from--are truly richly blessed in private worship through music heard here, the choir performs. David, choir, orchestra & Mormons keep the Faith in the Lord & never stop leading America in worship. Love my believer friends the Mormons for leading in praise with voice & instruments as Psalms says to.

Wow. I have this memorized now. It was sung at my mom's funeral September 2018. This song has been a comfort to me.
I learned about the origin of the lyrics. The author's family was lost at sea. He went to where they perished and the words came to him. They give comfort to those in mourning. Peace.

I feel so privilege to attend a session with him at Cebu Philippine Temple before he left for his mission...a very humble guy who doesn't even want to be recognized by so many who attended the session that day,and even came in to the room when the session nearly going to start so no one will notice him. i love this guy....keep it up David....I love your voice!

One of the highlights of my 20 years in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was this beautiful moment at an evening rehearsal more than 8 years ago. I live in Seattle now and sing with the Ensign Symphony & Chorus. David will be our guest artist next spring!

Back in the mid-1960’s we learned this hymn in confirmation class. I have never forgotten it. It is, and always will be a favorite. And, yes, I still sing in church choir.
