Saying Goodbye

Follow the journey of the Russlaender Mennonites as they depart from the Soviet Union during the 1920s. This short video, the first of three, was produced in commemoration of the centenary of the 1920s migration of Mennonites from the Soviet Union to Canada by the Paul Toews Professorship Fund, which is under the Centre for Transnational Mennonite Studies at the University of Winnipeg. This fund supports the study of Mennonite history in Russia and Ukraine. Produced and narrated by Aileen Friesen.
