When I bought my arc a770 it was on par on the relative performance chart with my radeon vii and my 3060… now it’s my best card for gaming. Intel came a long way this year.
I'm very surprised by the RX 7600 and A750. That was an unexpected result but both AMD and Intel have been working on their drivers and software support in 2023. Well done to both of those companies. AMD's hardware has always been capable of this. 3rd party software support has been really lacking for them over the years, but that's changing. I can also see Intel become #1 on this space in 2 years if they stay in the GPU market.
But for 3D applications and realtime viewport performance, is AMD better or Intel ??
@@lavatr8322 neither are good for them right now. I mean, for an objective answer AMD is better for that right now, but neither Intel or AMD can beat the value proposition of Nvidia GPUs in terms of 3D rendering workloads. If you are primarily going to be a 3D creator, you probably shouldn't even look outside of Nvidia for GPUs. That's unfortunate, but it's true.
its not that AMD or intel card are any good , the 3060 12 gb will out class all them , its still being produced new, its not the newest generation but its top budget rendering GPU, why its being left out is rather suspect, the 2060 super is more the class of these cards for work loads, GPUs are just getting worse for the money
@@Dhruv-qw7jf the budget cards dont have hardly any bus width, im a team red guy but a 170$ rtx 2060 super are batter than any of these cards and the 3050 super is vastly better all around card than the "4050"
I REALLY hope Intel manages to improve the performance in Blender. That is the only reason not to buy an Arc card for me right now.
BEST 16GB VRAM GPU
ARC A770 VS 4060TI VS 7800XT
i have intel 11th gen i7 1170 i wanted a gpu should i get arc 770 mostly i do video editing and coding will it be a right choice or go for old nvidia cards as i am tight on budget? Any suggestions
Hey For Video Editing in Davinci resolve whixh one should I get Arc a750 vs Rtx 3050 or Rtz 3060 and other is the cpu one R5 5600g or I5-12400 ??
What CPU are these GPUs connected to? Does the systems rely on resizeable bar?
My motherboard does not have resizable bar. How necessary is it on Intel for creators. I do mainly photo editing on Lightroom where pretty much any card will work. However I would like to edit video occasionally. I really, really, do not want to go to the hassle of installing a new motherboard right now, just so I can use an Intel graphics card.
I like the case, though my old Antec 900 still working well, but this appeals on many levels (upgrade my front panel USB). Next year perhaps.
Is it the latest blender? That has rocm/hip support and they are enabled?
I'd like to know aswell, i heard amd with hip is much faster in blender
Nice video👍
Testing the Radeon RX 7700XT agenst the Intel ARC A770
in a creator aplication would be nice to see.
Coming out First Week of Jan!
"Agenst".... Seriously? You meant *against.
@@JynxedKomaits not that deep bro, not everyones first language is english
@@JynxedKoma yes i did, i hav dyslexia so words not easy for me, thankyou for correcting me.
I see, fair enough. @@mariusjohannessen9626
The problem with the A750 is that it's just too power hungry at 225w, literally twice the power of the 4060 at just 115w. The 7600 is also more power hungry but still reasonable at 165w
It never consumes that at most if at all you'll see 180w In cyberpunk2077 ultra settings with ray tracing and medium Ray traced lighting I see 140W MAX
@@easydayez Depends on the game but Techpowerup shows it consume up to 237w in games and even spikes to 255w at times, that's more power than even 4070 and 7700xt.
@@nonameyet2205 it dosent though 😕 I’ve never seen that ever and this is real ownership experience not to mention undervolting makes a huge difference
@@easydayez Techpowerup is using professional equipment to measure real power consumption, not just some software. Undervolt sure but you can also undervolt both the Nvidia and Amd cards
it don't use that much power mand gust stop😂😂
Love these vids! for straight up comparisons. What I've been looking for is a real world davinci resolve video between cards like this and perhaps a really old card like an rx580 thrown in.... how all 4 deal with scrubbing through content for instance, and then how a new PC can export a 4K video, perhaps compared to like a 7th gen Intel CPU or something. Synthetic benchmarks just don't give me the info I want to see before making a purchase.
GOD DAMN ! you always have the perfect TOPIC for videos. this is exactly the question that came into my mind, that which Graphics card is best for both gaming an creators.
You have no idea How badly I needed this video right not. But what happened to the GeForce 3060 12gb?
Please do for other price ranges also. Best recommendations at different price ranges.
Can anybody out there that is running a Intel Arc video card with a Intel motherboard and CPU tell me if DOSBox is working with that setup. I've got a Intel Arc a750 with a AMD motherboard and CPU, and DOSBox quit working after the Arc driver 4676 for this setup about 4 months ago. Very curious if Intel motherboards and cpu's have the same problem with DOSBox. Thanks!
The after effects benchmark works when ran together with the current version 24 of after effects. It wont work with 23.6, I've tried. In addition, the minimum memory requirement of that benchmark is 32GB. It is possible to run it with 16GB with version 24 of After Effects by allocating 13GB memory to the application and 3GB to the operating system. Increase the page file for Windows manually or set it to do that automatically. This worked for me on the A380 6GB, A580 8GB and A770 16GB
in creative workloads, they seems to trade blows, so pick whichever best in price to performance. 3D rendering on the other hand seems to heavily favor nvidia.
Bro
Please make sure are you installed amd SDK rocm.
And plz make sure in blender you mark hip RT.
I'm disappointed: I expected better of you. If your budget is $300 and you are prepared to pay $330 on a RTX 4060 why are you not including the A770 from the get-go? Both 8 GB and 16 GB versions are in your price range (8 GB A770 is £270 from Overclockers UK, 16 GB is £321 from Grooves). And this was the perfect opportunity to test the difference between an 8 GB A770 and a 16 GB A770.
he said 300-330$
What a dramatic wording tbh
I think he did it to show what a standout value Arc can be, all cards have 8gb so thats fair and the 16gb card may be a standout in a few benchmarks and maybe close the gap in others but you would lose your strong price advantage
@@JOHNTECH112 Yes, costs are typically $1=£1 despite the actual exchange rate, partly because prices here include taxes whereas US prices may not.
I’m about to do a creator build and there’s no GPU that’s great for creators in the 300-400 range. Its all crap.
I’m leaning towards getting a 3060 with 12 gig of vram which outperforms the 4060 on davinci resolve benchmarks. (Its also under 300)
Then next year i’ll upgrade the gpu. Maybe to a 4070
im builind something now with ther 13600 k , im still considering the motherboard but i think a z790 , and i have now the rx 6600 xt , what i will change in the future , but im a editor and a gamer so if there people here with any recomandations please let me know. and then i means for the gpu and the motherboard actually
So what I got from this is that the RX7600 is not worth it, The RTX 4060 is the way to go for gaming and Blender or rendering in general and the Intel Arc A750 is the way to go for video and photo editing.
You got it!
Price for Switzerland:
4060: 325.81$
7600: 280.43$
A750: 248.08$
Please compare the bench marks of intel cards then vs now
Antec started making cases again?? What a time to be alive
And pretty good ones!
In Canada, lowest price via Amazon:
RTX 4060 - $389 CAD
AMD 7600 - $339 CAD
Intel A750 - $279 CAD
Intel's value proposition is WAY ahead of the competition. AMD has come a long way, too.
why not use the a770?
The only issue i have with Intel GPU is whether they would suddenly drop support for it or not.
This is coming from some who is on an Intel Motherboard from 2013.
I like the blue design, it's my favorite color.
I mean I appreciate you shedding more light to the Intel Arc GPUs, but you yourself have said in your review that the RTX 4060 performs worse than the 3060 12GB, so there's no need to compare it to the 4060. You should be comparing it with the RTX 3060 to get the best value proposition from both companies.
The text is a bit thin and hard to read on the charts on mobile. Especially the red text
I Got intel a770 16gb for 250$ brand new and it is not Disappointing me at all. Should be on this list
Got the pny 4060 so happy . I love new technology
4060 gets a lot of hate but it is a very solid card and have 2 of them in different builds.
@@bfcarrington yeah I know and I didn't care haha, I had the 1050 ti i didn't want the older 3060 wanted the newest so got this :)
I am glad to see that Intel is really competitive, as I am waiting for Battlemage generation.
Try a 500-600$ budget creator pc please
A750 is my one and I am happy!!
I want to show this to my school cause their current digital media pcs have i7 9700s quadro p400s 16gb dual channel ram and 256gb nvme. They have 34 of these dell machines
Btw in America does the price of GPUs not including taxes ? So much is that?
Usually 6-8%

The A770 16GB is under $300.00.
I agree with the people saying the 770 should be here instead of the 750
Arc A770 Acer BiFrost is $270 at Newegg right now, US.
😱 makes this even more interesting ;)
Never saw a 400mm GPU
Interesting stuff. I have an INTEL 12700k PC with RTX 3050 Ti built according to your recommendations in spring 2021. It is fine but just always thinking about upgrading. I use DaVinci Resolve now for 4K editing almost exclusively an looks like the INTEL ARC 750 could be about similar for me now to replace RTX 3050 Ti. The only gaming I do is 1080P Madden 2023 which runs fine for me on RTX 3050 Ti. Pleased to see the INTEL ARC numbers. When I upgrade in probably 2025 the INTEL ARC 750 successor should be even better.

Compare 6600 6600xt 6700xt with 3060 and 3060ti
Blender and primer pro and divinchi
Still no multi monitor test, come on Tech notice do a real test.
What do you mean by multi monitor test?
being a new owner of a rx7700xt I plugged it into a 4k monitor, wonderful. then I plugged a second monitor 2k resolution and extended the displays. then video glitches appeared randomly but about once every 4 minutes. checking online arc users also had problems of dropped multi monitors on startup. so I RMAed by 7700xt and bought a 4060ti. same setup no video glitches. These problems need to be highlighted to the driver devs so they can address the issues.@@theTechNotice
@@theTechNotice i guess he meant multiple displays

@@theTechNotice literally what I thought when I bought it. I’ve had it for over a month now and it’s not a huge upgrade over the A750, but the 16GB of memory is nice
$300? ive had 3060 12gb deals for $220..... so a better competition would be 3060 vs a750 vs a770
нужен тест этих карт в играх
I think you missed two points worth considering.
1st - for streamers and everyone relying on h264 - there is no way around Nvidia or Intel. AMD still stinks in that regard for whatever reason. And it seems that will only change when AV1 becomes widely and natively supported... will take a while tho.
2nd - power consumption. AMD and especially the Intel card eat so much more than the 4060, that in countries with higher costs, the potential higher price might turn out as an price advantage in the long run.
I really have big hopes for Intel with Battlemage or their 3rd Gen. Im surprised tho that they are that bad in Davinci. Doesnt Intel even have a partnership with Blackmagic?
Honestly at that price im just picking up a 2080ti
It would probably be better to have reviewed the RTX 3060 as well. It goes for around the same price as the 4060. I doubt that anyone would buy the 4060 over the 3060 anyway.
I did and I have no regrets
@@gozzyboy1989 I think he probably meant to say any creator, since 3060 is ahead of the 4060 in most creative benchmarks.
ARC is almost $400 here 😶😶
Isn't the a 750 cheaper ?
yep
2nd comment 😅... i am getting a 3070ti with 2.5years of warranty for 300$ second hand...
The software that AMD and Intel perform poorly in is software that has ZERO support for those cards. All the software devs need to do is add support and the landscape will look totally different. Nvidia's super power is that they came out with CUDA and have courted these devs for years. They understood early on that its the software that will make or break them.
no power consumption? what a crap
Chill man
Arc A770 16 GB is cheaper than RTX 4060.
If you what a noisy gaming laptop that can "only run off battery" and is useless without power adaptor get a pc laptop with 4 fans.
PC Reviewers have Sour grapes...now that it's toe to toe with the their Mighty 3090 .
PC only beats it out in apps that a PC centric & clearly little to no effort has been put into Making it Apple Soc optimized.
It's like Comparing a Direct X game made to Windows vs Running a port made for Metal 3.
Most 3D Apps perform better on pc as they cuda core optimised.
Final Cut Pro X runs rings around Davinci in responsiveness takes 11 mins to complete & Final Cut X does them in 3-6 mins .
Developers of 3d software have been building for GPU for years and not Apple SOC that's why they have the upper hand in bench marks not magic about it..
Not because of the number of core .... bah bah bah.... Each use case / Workflow is different if you want 3d gfx / gaming buy a PC .
If you want Video Editing & content creation workstation & no need for a virus subscription buy a Mac .
End of story. M3 Ultra is coming in March and it only gets stronger .. more growth potential with ARM than with intel. Otherwise Ms wouldn't be going down that route in developing their own ARM Customizations... let's be realistic.
10-30% difference in performance doesn't make up for heat , noise & instability all that other limits of old architectures.
Those days are numbered.
Wow I am the first the like this video 😍😍 cheers to it 😂
why is amd SO bad at blender ugh
One of them should be more than half the budget. This video is LIES.
The A750 is half the price of both the AMD and Nvidia so no lies here
Nvidia is hot garbage now.
