RIck and Steven are some of the only dancers I see on a constant basis reppin house dance in Houston. There are a couple more but for the most part these guys are out helping perpetuate this culture.I notice alot of hating it is uneccisary and we should be biggin eachother up rather than cappin.
Yes,we dance differently here in Europe.. but I Luuuuuuuuuuv how the Americans dance to house music.. that is soooo cool!! I wish I could dance like that!!!
I think the guys in black got the better...the second guy was(in black)sick. All were good dancers...I am a B Boy and house dancer and a DJ, but I find a lot of people have trouble dancing to music above 125bpm. Its all good though I love it when I am out and everyone is dancing so I don't want to discourage anyone. Peace
i agree with the two comments below "house is a feeling" and its meant for unity & love harmony etc. but you gotta understand house-heads are still b-boys and the b-boy loves competition!!! peace!!!
THere are MANY styles to House dancing so there really isn't a wrong way to dance off of house music. Except off beat of course.. lol! They dance differently here in Chicago but it's all dope. : )
Yeah, Sidney has definitely got the "house feeling", you can tell he's just so happy, lol. But, Rick. . . man, he's got some moves. p.s. - House is a feeling :P
I completely agree with you here. Hous ewas something we felt and shared and loved. Battle had nothing to do with it, unless you were bein g alittle catty back then, but it sure looks like breakin to me.
Why some people don't understand that dancing is an expression of yourself....some have more talent at ''expressing themselves''...For sure , Dister know how to express himself...Nice...&:-)
this is a fantastic battle, and you are correct you don't see this anymore. but it's because the scene is full of little kids, that come for the wrong reason- drugs.
Im not too involved with the b-boy scene in the bay area.. and i havent seen much for battling except for the last 2 second sundays at kellys mission rock..lots of good chunky house at dna lounge...or endup is always crackin...friday or sundays..5th and harrison
Interesting I didn'r know they even had house dance battles! :o I used to be a pretty good house dancer back in the Technotonic days, maybe time to brush up my skills :)
Dude in the yellow fit with the red hat is weak , might was well be doing jumping jacks , props to the one cat with jeans and black shirt plus dude with the dreads
I think you got it wrong man. The reason you don't see much anymore is because the House scene is very small in many places. Thanks to ABDC (in all sarcasm) the bboy scene is mainstream again and that's the scene that's getting ruined by the newcomers who are only interested in it because of the kicks they see on TV. I love house though, It's a shame you don't see many House Jams where i live :(
And the 2nd Song is: "Sunday Shoutin'"By Johnny Corporate. I Spin it a lot at the Club here in Brooklyn. They also play it at Shelter(Clubshelter NYC). The Mix youre hearing here is the Original mix, Not the Harry "Choo Choo" Romero mix, but thats hot too.
OOh I wished I had been there. MMM Hmmmm I'd do a battle all right. I might break a rib or dislocate my shoulder.. but I would definately give it to them!! Get it..
Fran but there are so many people all over the world trying to be New York it's rediqulous. That being said I do agree that Sidney and Dister were dope but they wern't House Dancing most of the time either.
@lmvp you mean to bboyish! not bboys lol...but yes i know what you mean its all about the music were it take you on the dance floor not to see who can do it the best
im confused, you say poppin' is better than house. then you reference chris brown and omarion... both of which can't actually pop... hmmm... I'm a popper, and im starting to learn some house. i garuntee you chris brown or omarion couldn't even contest against any one of these guys in a house battle.
yea...i guess u can say that...since u DO know EVERYONE that has ever said that...lol...I have heard so many people say that shit. come on man...are u sayin that that rasta can dance better than chris brown and omarion?
that dude in the black is really annoying when he starts lockin', poppin' and then he looks like he is trying to newstyle in a HOUSE battle. wot was up with that?! it was painfull to watch! the dude in the red clothing on the other side was doooope he had the feeling in his dance, was nice to watch.
Im sorry but I been going to house clubs since early 90's and I have never seen so much crap before. All this skippin and stuff is wack. Real house dancers do not dance like this.
Im late 2the comments...Nahh 2me they r battling using a combination of bboy, breaking, tap, footwork, and what has become knwn as House Steps..ive been partying 2house music since 1989 knew the dance steps now have names🤣😆 if u dance 2house..steps have no names..its your flow🙄🙄
God DAMN, Sidney's get-up at 7:47 is sick. So much amazing dancing in this video. Kings, all of 'em.
RIck and Steven are some of the only dancers I see on a constant basis reppin house dance in Houston. There are a couple more but for the most part these guys are out helping perpetuate this culture.I notice alot of hating it is uneccisary and we should be biggin eachother up rather than cappin.

Awesome! Makes me miss House Clubs in the 90's in NYC

Dister has got dope footwork.
This has got to be THE SICKEST dancing I've ever seen!!
I think the guys in black got the better...the second guy was(in black)sick. the boy Dister is a beast... No mercy in a battle.
I completely agree with you here. Hous ewas something we felt and shared and loved. Battle had nothing to do with it, unless you were bein g alittle catty back then, but it sure looks like breakin to me.
they look like they had fun!!
Why some people don't understand that dancing is an expression of yourself....some have more talent at ''expressing themselves''...For sure , Dister know how to express himself...Nice...&:-)
this is a fantastic battle, and you are correct you don't see this anymore. but it's because the scene is full of little kids, that come for the wrong reason- drugs.
sick...best one I have seen with straight up house music
he is probably the better of all four, his style is fantastic.
who is the third guy to dance. He is utterly fabulous.
im not gonna lie tho...my man in the yellow was killin it
the good ol days
This is "NEW SCHOOL" house dancing, not saying it ain't house, but this a mix of years of house, hip hop & breaking..........PEACE
house dancing is in da house, dancing

Im not too involved with the b-boy scene in the bay area.. and i havent seen much for battling except for the last 2 second sundays at kellys mission rock..lots of good chunky house at dna lounge...or endup is always crackin...friday or sundays..5th and harrison

Interesting I didn'r know they even had house dance battles! :o
I used to be a pretty good house dancer back in the Technotonic days, maybe time to brush up my skills :)
Brown jacket blue jeans was the best braids guy was second.
Dude in the yellow fit with the red hat is weak , might was well be doing jumping jacks , props to the one cat with jeans and black shirt plus dude with the dreads
What are these dudes names? Whats the name of the track at the beginning? I wonder if these dudes b-boy too?
I think you got it wrong man. The reason you don't see much anymore is because the House scene is very small in many places. i totally agree with you hear. B-Boys maybe House dancers from far
This is that off beat stiff chippy choppy Chicago house in Chicago??
East coast!!
And Yeah.... You got my 5 stars.....
beautiful!
That's not dancing... what they have in mind is to beat the other, for you to dance you have to become one with music!
house is not about battling, and these dancers are show offs.Type in "Ejoe" or
"Calef" if you want to FEEL house dancing.
ok the first dancer
well, im just supporting attaynekc, he's got a point. Guess you are one of those "ill place a comment here so it looks like im a good dancer" typer...
AND the last song?!
skinny jeans wouldnt be a wise choice of clothing for house dancing
Man..the Rick guy is good but he need a new partner that can keep up with him
the rastaMan is AWSOME - the rest average.
Name of the second track, Sunday Shoutin-Johnny Corporate
does anyone know the 1st song????????
Knee Deep - I Won't Let You Down
OOh I wished I had been there. MMM Hmmmm I'd do a battle all right. I might break a rib or dislocate my shoulder.. but I would definately give it to them!! Get it..
I have got to find one of these dance battles I would do it just for the fun of it
lol...old footage..dont judge,,just dance cuz ya love it. i like sydney..hes pretty good all styles dancer.
House battles can only work in a cypher setting.
You couldn't be more wpp've been Malcom Little
Dister has the most interesting style imo
onew word: WOOT!!!
Best place to go where they have battles would be dna lounge on Fridays...
the dance of dister is likes toprock
the 2nd track reminds me of Cassius's - 1999
Really old but not worst neither.
Fran but there are so many people all over the world trying to be New York it's rediqulous. That being said I do agree that Sidney and Dister were dope but they wern't House Dancing most of the time either.

Does anyone know the song that starts at 04:20 ?
@heavydemojoe inaya day - do you think of me (pitta mix)
As we all know, its always the loudest barking dogs with the weakest bite...stop pretending being house lovers or great dancers ya'll...
Sounds a little bit like Adonis - No Way Back
I don't see how
uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh yeah^^
I dont see how
Dister is like Les Twins dad and shit
None of these guys have a GROOVE to the music. They dance, they coo' but none of them JACK they body and thas House. Sorry but gotta be honest.
@lmvp you mean to bboyish! not bboys lol...but yes i know what you mean its all about the music were it take you on the dance floor not to see who can do it the best

dister is fuckin nuts
poppin is so much better than whack ass house dancin
yea...i guess u can say that...since u DO know EVERYONE that has ever said that...lol...I have heard so many people say that shit. come on man...are u sayin that that rasta can dance better than chris brown and omarion?
The guys in the black are better. Never wear tight jeans when you are trying to dance. Thats just gay.
Maybe they are gay? Is that a problem? It's House music - you do know the roots of House, right?
that dude in the black is really annoying when he starts lockin', poppin' and then he looks like he is trying to newstyle in a HOUSE battle. wot was up with that?! it was painfull to watch!
the dude in the red clothing on the other side was doooope he had the feeling in his dance, was nice to watch.
LOL

The guys in black Are horrible
