As a complete novice I will attempt to this from your video instruction - it's a little dark but I'm going to guess anyway; a little worrying as I've not had much practice - on the few occasions in the past doing anything on my vehicles others have just done things for me without showing me and so I've not had a opportunity to know if I can?! :) :
Hi. It’s just taking care and using common sense really. One thing I would do is to ensure you use a spark plug socket with a rubber insert for the plug. My mate tried to change his plug in his Modena last week and as he wasn’t using one with a rubber insert, the plug fell out of the socket and lodged in the bottom casing of the scooter. Took him ages to get it out. Other than that, it’s a straightforward task.
Hi Billy. I'm guessing you are referring to the short plug, box type, socket which comes with the Modena toolkit, or maybe just a shorter extension than the one I used? Yep, you are most likely right, it would have made it a bit easier. Sometimes you don't think of the obvious when you are actually doing the job !! Cheers.
@@modena_man yes better using the right tool to make it easier, short bar extension is what I was talking about, I've been changing plugs in various motorcycles and cars for over 40years now cheers. .

Hi Modena Man..good, helpful and informative videos here :) Can you do a video on how to remove the panel under the seat to access the valve cover for ajusting the valves? I mean the panel under the left side of the seat that's under the actually under the left main side panel itself. If this is off then it's much easier to see when adjusting the valves. Also, need a video on how to replace the variator rollers if you can.. Thanks!

@@modena_man no..the panel I mean is the one on your scoot where you have the bull sticker, 2 targets and cherries. I need to get this one off to have better view to adjusting valves.
@@andysipowicz Ah. O.K. I know which you mean now. In order to remove that panel, you basically, and you may not beiieve this, have to take off the leg shields, then the foot running boards then you can tackle getting those panels off. All of the panels from the front to back are interlinked and have to come off in order. I find that if you take off the louvred panel underneath the front of the seat, just behind the battery cover, then you can just find enough room in order to tackle the valves. It's a bit tight, but, unless anyone knows another way, I think it's the only way you can do this. I use a mirror to see where the marks on the camshaft sprocket are aligned when doing this.
