    On 3 x 1, if the safety is inside of "H", our H knows to run Post Corner.

    91 H Shallow stack right (Stack Y and Z, they can switch routes and drives defenses crazy), 91 H Shallow Z switch (Y and Z switch routes on the Run and Shoot switch concept).

      Coach Kilpatrick,
      Stacking wide receivers does mess with the defense. For some reason high school kids don't understand what to do. I'm surprised more teams don't use it.

    I love it so glad I found your videos today, started with running AIR RAID in 4 plays. Currently watching your videos while working from home because of this crazy CORVID-19 situation we all in right now... I'm an aspiring Coach, recently decided that I want to make this my career for the next 40 years of my life. Working in High level management, leadership team going to the football field. Coach, what is advise for me? where should I start? what kind of training should I get into? outside of joining a coaching staff, what's the best way for me to learn the game on a deeper level? Any coaching clinics you recommend?

    If h slants instead of doing a post, it will create the grass between the two safeties.

    Coaches How do you communicate to the back which side he is running his route in mesh? How do you tell him to go RT or LT?

  • @nelsonschiavi1576

    Coach...How long does the QB have until he needs to throw the ball? I tell my QB the ball needs to be thrown within four seconds.

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Under 4. Quick game is 1.5 seconds.

    Great video overall here, so I'm not trying to s#!+ on it, but Piscopo says in the video that Y Sail was never intended to be Flood, and draws it without a flat route to the right. Is that accurate? Almost every depiction of Sail I have seen, including going back to "65 Flood" at BYU, has a flat route to the right. I have even seen Mumme draw Sail with a flat route to the right...

    how do you keep the receivers from getting jammed doing the mesh

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coach AV,
      If the wide receivers are getting jammed then you should be throwing either the out by the outside receiver or the swing by the back.

    • @av-ji9qy
      @av-ji9qy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      any tech you use to allow the receiver to fight against that ....understand throwing to a alternate receiver

      Mesh WRs getting jammed at LOS right at snap should flatten out and stair-step on way to mesh. If you have LBs with hard eyes on slots selling out to wall slots, slots should run right at nose of LB and then use a club/rip move to get right under that walling LB on way to mesh. The club/rip move should be executed the same as a normal club/rip press release from LOS by WRs, but now they will do it on the move. It is important that they stem right at LBs nose to create a 2-way go and make LB indecisive, but they must go under LB to avoid getting pushed too deep on mesh. "6 yards or under the Mike, whichever comes first" is rule for mesh depth.

    I wish he did "6" in this one I'm still curious on how he reads it from Early

    • @tylercampbell4116
      @tylercampbell4116 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mumme reads "6" from left to right regardless or formation. Leach reads "6" outside in starting on side with tightest CB. In 3x1, he's really calling it to read single WR to #3 to #2. So for Leach, "Early 6" would be read X, Y, H, to check down (F).

    • @KATOblaze1
      @KATOblaze1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tyler Campbell So Leach would go from single to crosser to Seam ?

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coach Campbell,
      You are 100 percent right. I asked Mumme how he teaches '6' and he says it depends on the quarterback. If the quarterback is right handed then he goes left to right in his progression. If the quarterback is left handed then he goes right to left in his progression.

    • @KATOblaze1
      @KATOblaze1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coach McKie in 2x2 we read it Seam to Fade/Stop to swing by the back because our QB is better with hi/lo reads so it basically turns into Curl/Flat

    • @tylercampbell4116
      @tylercampbell4116 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Leach would unless he loved his matchup with the Z for whatever reason (game plan issue).
