I started golfing a year ago, and your videos helped me go from missing the ball 7 out of 10 times, to shooting 89 on my local course. Would love to see a vlog of you playing your locals. Love the content bro 👊🏽
If you’re a slicer with your driver like most people are, you can take your right hand if you’re right handed… and move it more towards the back of the grip instead of on the side that will naturally make you close your club face a little more when you follow through that enrolling your wrists a little bit before impact
Nice explanation. Simply put…..the longer the club, the harder it is to control. If you’re hitting everything good but hooking your driver a lot, choke down a good bit on it.
Nice analogy and great content! Just a question: comes flexion of your left wrist naturally to you or do you flex consciously? Now at 50 I have to do this much more concious and that sucks 😅 Cheers from Germany
Which is the reason for changing distance from the ball and having it up more in the stance. Give the club time to react and catch up. Club and stance are often enough to make the difference.
Jake went from wearing runners to now looking like he found his way to the thrift store but I am guessing those clothes are not cheap. I love how he explains the physics of the swing and gives out solid pointers.
@@jamesmc81what got my driver straight as an arrow every time besides practice was tee height, finding the right size grip, and dialing in the weights. I hit it dead straight even on miss hits but it took a lot of time tinkering
This is ignoring the mass of the club itself. A wedge is a lot shorter but a lot heavier, so it takes more force to move it even though it's "closer to the center of mass". Pretty easy to demo this yourself.
You’ve got it wrong with the center of gravity in the heads too, the further back the CG in a driver head the easier that driver will be to close at impact vs a driver with a forward CG. I would just take this short down man, dont die on this hill lol
Love the videos but have to agree - nice attempt to rationalise the need to feel the release of driver earlier, but the greater mass of an iron is a bigger factor in required force applied to the grip
Not for me… at least anyways. Drivers my best club in the bag by far besides my putter. It’s just easy for me I guess. I hit every fairway this morning! Just a straight ball or a 5 yard draw! Love the driver
@@jltotheb5550 …so they require different amounts of force & torque to move them around. Driver takes more effort and the force has to be applied earlier - irons require less and can be done later. If you try and move them the same you’ll get different results
As always, I wish nothing but success brother. These videos are so much more enjoyable and informative than the weird songs that you try to make. I like all your videos anyway. Thanks for making some of the best content anybody has ever put on the internet, especially about golf.
I love these explanations, no golf, no-“watch this” just pure meta explanation that makes it make sense
You have such a great way of explaining these bub. Just straight forward in simple terms that I can understand and make since of
🤝🤝

Love to hear it!

Moving the ball in the stance will shallow the angle of attack and move path more left
@@jakehuttgolf I need an explanation for this! I'd like to know what you mean by that, could you make another short explaining it? Thanks!
My mans looking like hes about to pitch the idea of opening a second hand cook book shop to his distant aunt and I'm all here for it.
!!!
Damn, this makes sense lol. Everyone always says it's the same swing with a different ball position.
Jake went from wearing runners to now looking like he found his way to the thrift store but I am guessing those clothes are not cheap. I love how he explains the physics of the swing and gives out solid pointers.
Jake, this kind of explanation is underrated!
This is the one that made me subscribe 👍🏾
I definitely learn better when there's a song. I was today years old when I realized this
Very helpful sir. Thank you !!
my favorite golf classes on YT 💯
Great explanation sir !
Smart cookie 👍
(I was waiting for a song)
😂😂😂😂
Not quite understanding Jake. Need the same message but in a catchy jingle
Layman’s terms - slice/hook 😂 ❤️😝
Counterweights and or a heavier grip in my driver really helped me with this
Fer Real, heavy grip is a great help
@@MrYatesj1 it's so much easier to transition the driver and square the face. And alot faster. I have a 75g shaft and 60g grip! KaBOOM.

@@trey_dizzle4161 yup i tee it up low.
Definitely been a fan - can’t recall anything that hasn’t touched, even to my least of liking…it’s been Good.
Good physics application to our favorite game.
Thank you! Great advice
Great explanation! Thank you.

Amazing video

Not sure id say 100 grams is a lot of weight
@jakehuttgolf lol it's 50% more. Driver head weight is ~200g, wedge is ~300g.
Not to mention the shaft weighs twice as much in a wedge too

Driver = plane taking off
Irons = plane landing
What do you think about the single-length club movement?
Great concept - little weird with the wedges
Pro Tips Fer Sure but I would love to hear it in a silkily smooth music number
I need this in song format
Im gonna suck at both thinking about all if this in my backswing
What brand are those pink grips?
Ripit
You da man Jake
i love this guy
🙏🏽❤️
I tend to suck at both. 😢
Two different clubs, two different swings
Don’t worry guys I suck at both
Sorry I was completely distracted by your outstanding outfit
Welcome to my golf game lol
I have a 48-inch driver that I can smash 80% of the time, my irons 5% of the time
Not for me… at least anyways. Drivers my best club in the bag by far besides my putter. It’s just easy for me I guess. I hit every fairway this morning! Just a straight ball or a 5 yard draw! Love the driver
The point of the video isn’t that the driver is harder to hit
I don’t understand you without the rapping.
good call

TLDR: iron's are shorter also club face is different

Brysons clubs are all the same length.... 🤷♂️
His irons are all the same length. His woods & driver are certainly not.
That’s not true!!!! I suck at both!! 😂
Versus, not verse. Immediately undercuts any authority.

This song sounds like it's off beat. Lol jk.
Awesome tip.

Worst song yet!!! 😂
It’s “versus”, not “verse”!!
Jake usually deals out the verses
