My son gave himself a haircut when he was 8. I noticed it after dinner, and he had cut it quite short on the left side of his head. My husband does his haircuts as well as his older brother. I told him that he needs to fix it. Needless to say he had to clipper it quite short to match what was done. We would set a board across the arms of the deck chair and cape them plus use a paper neck strip to keep the itchy hairs from getting down their neck. I would set up the ipad on the table for them to watch while hubby did the barbering to keep them looking straight ahead. As the boys got older, we didn’t need the video to distract them. My husband cuts my hair and my best friend has him cut hers as well. She kept turning her head while talking to me, so he had me change my seat so she would be looking straight ahead talking to me. Keeping your head looking straight ahead, unless told to turn your head is a must if you want it even on the back and sides.
