So I just found your channel, and I wanted to let you know that it was BECAUSE of the Oblivion with only Illusion magic video, if that affects your upload process at all. I've loved these Pokemon challenges, though, Pokemon is such a nostalgic thing to me. I've had a few ideas that I think would make for interesting runs. Slakoth in Emerald (for obvious reasons), Kricketune in Gen 4 because he's the weakest fully evolved Pokemon and only learns bug moves by level up, Sableye in Gen 3, he doesn't have any weaknesses then, but he also is worse than a Beedrill by base stats. Just a few ideas.
Pokémon Emerald with only one Trapinch His speed is godly slow, and his move list to start is not the best, would love to see how you use him. With Juan being a water type gym leader, Glacia being a Ice/water type elite four member, and Wallace the champion has all water types. Going to be a challenging run!!! Please make it happen!!!
Glad to see this! I mentioned like a YEAR ago I was gonna do Spinarak in the discord but I never got to finish the run. Happy to see an awesome Poison type get the spotlight!
I kid you not I have done this myself. It's actually not too hard. Mostly because attract and work up used in tandem can defeat any boss of the opposite gender (my Audio was male btw). The huge move pool it gets along with its tankiness makes this strategy very strong, especially with reusable tms.
You should try to do Pokémon white with one solosis I imagine this would be easy because of solosis’s high special attack star of 105 but it may be hard because of his base speed being 20 also make it big cell as a reference to your Pokémon fire red dragon ball z team training rom hack
You keep reccomending this exact challenge, and while it's unlikely that he does another Gen V run any time soon, I'd really like to see one, so why not. Keep it up, maybe he'll do it!
No problem. I'm posting my own challange idea under every video since I've started, but barely anyone seems to notice it, so I might as well help someone else.
Good to see the Dustox/Beautifly run coming up! Did that run in Alpha Sapphire, actually managed to win. Beautifly had some pretty good Special Attack so that’ll probably be his main damage dealer.
I'm legitimately curious to see how you get past Jasmine, since you can't poison her pokemon He used dig and nightshade guys Also I used to listen to pokemon creepy pasta yeeeeeears ago, and I decided to look them up again recently because you know we're in the spooky season, and I 100% used to listen to your creepypasta videos. It was like meeting up with an old friend lol. It was surreal
@@jon9274 It's not a STAB and is still resisted by Steel, might as well use Giga Drain which is neutral against Steelix. Unless it lucks out and has HP Fire, FIghting, Water or Ground
@@ZorotheGallade yeah I misread the comment and thought they were talking about the poison gym lol Night shade would probably be the best bet for Jasmine.
Hey, I'm glad you had fun with this challenge. I actually did this same challenge as well as Spinarak in HeartGold back to back, although I just go to Lance in Johto runs. I kinda lucked out because in both Gold and HeartGold my Spinarak got Hidden Power Fire to cover Jasmine's Steelix and Koga's Forretress. Spinarak honestly impressed me.
Pokemon emerald or ruby or sapphire (whichever one you want) using only a single beldum In combat you can only use beldum (you will need other Pokemon for HMs but you won't be able to use them in Battle) No glitches or exploits You will need to use items in Battle
It's really great seeing uploads even when you're not feeling super well, but make sure to take care of yourself. If you need to do a pokemon challenge in 2 parts we'd understand if you need more time to rest
"only two people controlling one character" "only"? What's your alternative? 5 people?! Maybe you should've cut a little more out of the template when referencing that one mdb :s
A few challenge ideas: Pokemon Heartgold with only Mareep Pokemon Black with only Street Sharx (Sandile from the Pokemon X playthrough) Comments are good for the algorithm
Tactical analysis of the run. It's still good for the TH-cam algorithm: 1/ Ground is not super-effective on Bug/Poison. Bug resists Ground. 2/ Return uses the attack stat and has 102BP at max friendship. Better than Leech Life unless double super effective (20*1.5.*4 = 120). Probably would have made the Koga fight easier. Overall a good run. Looking forward for the next one!
Suggestion: Pokemon Crystal with only one Heracross. I know that doesn't sound too bad, but hear me out. In gen two, Heracross has one of the most garbage movesets I've ever seen. It learns no reliable STAB moves until Reversal at level 44, so you'll be relying on Rock Smash until then. The strongest moves it can learn are Earthquake and Megahorn, and besides those two, basically nothing. It also has a ton of weaknesses, including a four times weakness to flying. That also happens to be the typing of the first gym. Good stats, but I believe the horrible moves make it a contender for a challenge.
You say that like reversal is reliable but it’s as weak as rock smash unless you take a bunch of damage. I literally took snorlax over heracross because of how bad it was before gen 3
The only one that wasn't doable was Wobbufett (and I guess Magikarp, but he knew it was impossible without items, so he didn't even restrict himself with that)
*Warning Wall of Text Immanent proceed with caution and time.* *Note to everyone this is a retelling of the elite four* Pokemon Trainer Mah-Dry-Beard Partner Pokemon: Spinarak Spinarak: Gender: Male Nickname: Sabu Type: Bug, Poison Moves: Leech Life, Sludge Bomb Night shade, Dig Stats: Undefined Ability: Undefined Following our two hero's on their journey, they finally conquer victory road and are met by the Elite Four, and behind them is the Champion Dragon Master Lance. Lance personally greets our young adventurer. Lance: "Hello and welcome to the Champion Cup, you'll have to beat each one of the Elite four in an elimination format and subsequently me if you wish to become the champion of the Johto Region. I will wait for you in the final chamber, please make your final preparations now." After this last minute encouragement from our regions strongest trainer MDB plans a few strategies and prepares several held items in advanced. In the first chamber waiting for him was Psychic Trainer Will, having a Bug and Poison type MDB was put into a sticky situation so to speak, on one hand any psychic type moves that would land would devastate poor Sabu but on the other Sabu had the edge to win with it's powerful bug type moves. MDB would have to be extra cunning and swift he wanted to move onto the next chamber. First to the plate was Will's Xatu a Powerful Psychic bird said to be able to see into the future. Will this clairvoyance stop Sabu in his tracks? *read on* Sabu as swift as the wind received the command to attack and with reckless abandon splashed the bird with a powerful stream of sludge quickly incapacitating the bird. Next Will sent out his second Xatu both MDB Sabu knew how this would end, it was deja vu at least for the fortune telling bird. With another decisive blow of Sabu's Sludge Bomb this next Xatu went down as fast as the last one. Next was a tricky one. A Jynx, a Fast psychic and Ice type a double threat to Sabu any attacks made by it would surely finish him off. Sabu however was unfazed he had encountered and defeated many other Pokemon upto this point, he was confident in his abilities nothing could stop him at this stage. With a powerful bolt of speed Sabu initiated his next attack, another stream of toxic sludge sprayed across the battlefield quickly taking out the Jynx. 4th was Will's Exeggcutor, as slow as it was it was simply no match for MDB's Mighty friend with a powerful stream of Sabu's Mighty sludge it was defeated. Slowbro was next and this was a problem, this Towering Fiend wouldn't go down as quickly as the others, and as he thought, Sabu landed a mighty blow with his sludge bomb poisoning the giant, and making him stumble about this would come back to bite the Slowbro however as that fumble he pulled with his Psychic was not enough to take Sabu, if only he wasn't caught by surprise by the poison he could have focused into his psychic and end the fight. But thankfully for our hero he managed to take it out with it's next strike. After revitalizing his Eager Spinarak and preparing for their next, fight the two proceed to the next chamber where they would face a powerful adversary Poison Trainer Koga. With a roar of its pokeball Ariados was Released into the battle to face it's Pre-evoultion. Eager as always Sabu span around the battlefield quickly taking out the Spinarak with a pair of powerful night shades. Venomoth was sent into the fray next and Once again with a mighty glare from Spinarak the venomoth was scared into submission. Third of Koga's Pokemon was a Crobat a powerful flying type Pokemon that could prove an issue. Once again Sabu and MDB quickly flash back to all the difficult battles they've had, there was nothing that could stop them now. They were ready for anything. With a few devilish glare the crobat quickly fell in line and retired from the battle. Next was Koga's Forretress a truly tanky beast but lucky for MDB as swift as the wind Sabu quickly took it out. Lastly was Koga's Mighty Muk, this would prove to be a wall for our young adventurers should they not find a way to triumph but after all they've been through they new what they had to do, with several evil looks from Sabu Muk quickly fainted from fear and Koga was defeated. After another small break with MDB and Sabu eating together limbering up before the next set of matches they were ready and moved onto the next chamber. In the 3rd chamber was Fighting Trainer Bruno, MDB was at a large scale advantage being quite resistant to the punches and kicks of Bruno's Pokemon. First to the call was Hitmontop and with a powerful blow from Spinaraks Ghastly Sludge it was wiped out. Next was his Hitmonchan back in the day this Pokemon won Bruno many trophies, but MDB and Sabu were confident they knew they had nothing to fear, with a mighty roar and strong Sludge bomb it went down. 3rd was Bruno's old friend an Onix this tanky fellow would prove an issue if Sabu didn't have a few tricks up it's sleeve. With a whistle from MDB's lips Sabu burrowed underground waiting patiently to strike before rising from the ground to vanquish the mighty rock snake. Machamp was out 4th and with a decisive blow from sludge bomb it was done. Lastly was Hitmonlee a curious foe indeed it's mighty kicks could be an issue had one landed bit with a stream of grotesque liquid across the battlefield the fight was over and it was another small break for Sabu and MDB to strengthen their bond. Now revitalized ready and pumped for more they head into the 4th chamber the last one before fighting Lance the champion. Dark Trainer Karen was next and out first was Umbreon a usual wall of sort but with a quick Sludge bomb it was onto the next challenger, next was Houndoom a truly dangerous adversary but with another whistle from MDB it burrowed underground and with a decisive strike to the canines Chin it was time for the next fight. 3rd was vileplume a grass and Poison type, this would prove hard on our hero's but thankfully MDB and Sabu triumphed again with a mighty blow from Sabu's venom sack. 4th was gengar and with a whistle of MDB's lips it burrowed underground to strike at the large ghost moments later, they went to repeat this and gengar cocky as ever learned not from it's mistake and went down with another decisive blow. Lastly was murkrow but with a powerful stream of poison it was defeated as well. MDB and Sabu were so excited the two so eager to become champions they rested up before entering the final chamber and challenged the Pokemon Regional Champion Lance. Lance: "So you made it all this way have you? You truly proved yourself to be a powerful trainer of the highest calibur. This promises to be a fun and legendary battle, I wish you luck." With that said Sabu become ever more confident, victory and glory within reach it burst out of its pokeball and onto the field awaiting Lance's first pokemon, without a second thought Lance sent out his Gyarados to greet the Spinarak and the battle begun. With a large and even more powerful stream of Poison Spinarak quickly overwhelmed and defeated the mighty sea serpent before Lance sent out his next Pokemon, an Aerodactyl a Pokemon from ancient times with mighty speed. Spinarak launched another massive stream of toxic sludge at the Aerodactyl and to retaliate it threw many large stones at our small friend but thanks to Spinarak's incredible speed it was able to evade them easily and with another intense stream of poison it was defeated with Lance's next Pokemon to take up the job. He sent out a mighty winged beast Charizard to intercept the small arachnid, but with it's adrenaline coursing through its veins it mustered up another powerful stream of sludge to hurl at the Charizard quickly taking it out. Lance infuriated by this ignored the rules of the match and sent out his 3 Mighty Dragonites to take out the small spider. MDB and Sabu knew they could still win even with this rule change. Together their hearts become one and with the combined of both their souls resonating as one Sabu exploded the three dragons with an incredible Gush of poison to swarm the dragons overwhelming them and making them the new Pokemon champions.
I’m in the middle of a gen 2 Spinarak challenge myself. Can’t wait to see if you are taking the same approach as I am. Night shade saved me big time against Jasmine.
Im very new to your content only coming around with the oblivion with two players vid but ive grown to love your videos and all your wrestling references!
Sabu was really cute. The backsprite of spinarak looks like it has a smile on the thorax, but it looks angry from the front in older sprites. Nice job, by the way. I noticed you changed your audio a bit. Your voice was surprisingly clear, not that it isn't already.
I love these videos! It's one of the highlights of my week when I wake up and there's a new video to watch! Keep up with the amazing work! I'd love to see a ditto only run on Emerald or Platinum or even HGSS but I don't think you use them for challenges. (I started at gen 4, is it obvious?) I think having to use the other trainer's first pokémon against their entire team will be interesting. It may not be hard but you deserve a break. Comments are good for the TH-cam algorithm. Edit: also idk if this is right but wouldn't you have been able to sweep Koga with dig? Other than Crobat that is. That confused me a bit
Imagine, you are a child prodigy. You win the Pokémon league at 10. You disband a criminal enterprise by beating it into submission. You complete the entire Pokédex. You isolate yourself on a giant mountain because there see no challenges left. Then a 10 year old with a baby spider strolls up and beats your entire team.
Ok so I just want to let you know how incredibly lucky that red fight was. I was doing research for a strategy I use and found the percentage for each crit stage. I may be misremembering the exact percentage, but you got 3 crits with a 6.25% chance to hit each of them. That is insane luck. Also great video man keep them up they always bring a smile to my face.
I have a few challenges, but they are probably very hard, Pokemon Fire Red with a single Geodude or Pokemon Emerald with a single Ditto, both would be a challenge :) love all your videos!!
Glad to see you’re uploading again! Love the new cat! Idea for a challenge: (if you didn’t do so already) HM’s only in battle No ‘mon restractions Item usage up to you Gen/version choice up to you Might not be an “original” idea, but I’d be interested nontheless (of course if you did it already, I’ll just go watch that instead, as I didn’t check before writing this) Best of luck and stay safe!
Every single game that has HMs requires at least one use of an HM outside of battle. So requiring that HMs be used only inside of battle makes every game impossible.
Spinarak has decent offense, so with a quickclaw to make up for the speed it's not surprising the little guy managed to win it all. Still required a lot of luck, congrats.
I'd love to see a shiny only challenge from you! While it'll technically be easy it'll take time to find shinies. Yes im aware theres many others who have done the challenge but I think it'll be fun from mdb!
Wow didn't expect such a short video, considering spinarak sucks XD I really liked the challenge though. Please do a Marill only run in HG/SS in the near future :3
Pokemon challenge: You can use any powerful pokemon you want, but each time you attack, roll a 6 sided die to choose which move you can use. 1 to 4 corresponds to one of the 4 moves. 5 means pick any non damage move, and 6 means pick any damage move. Maybe make 1 of the slot explosion or sth.
I'm sure it's been brought up and requested before but it would be pretty interesting to watch you do a nuzlocke. after all the experience from these challenges and tough match ups(and grinding lol) would be a fun time. even if it is short lived and a 1 time thing.
I feel like we should get a HeartGold/SoulSilver run at some point, with a Gen 3 or 4 mon. Maybe with, say, only Mantyke? Though a Platinum Mantyke only run would be cool too.
Worth noting that since bug resists ground, Dig would be on par with Sludge bomb in damage against those bug/poison types due to STAB and Dig being weaker in Gen 2/3

@@robertlupa8273 thanks 😊
No problem. I'm posting my own challange idea under every video since I've started, but barely anyone seems to notice it, so I might as well help someone else.
@@robertlupa8273 that has a good chance,i mean i kept requesting Heartgold with spinarak and it kinda happened,...after 9 months
@@robertlupa8273 also no one saw my suggestion
Good to see the Dustox/Beautifly run coming up! Did that run in Alpha Sapphire, actually managed to win. Beautifly had some pretty good Special Attack so that’ll probably be his main damage dealer.
Red: **has the highest level pokemon in the game**
MDB: **Turns up and sweeps with a Spinarak**
Red: "..."
Brilliant video as always, I didn't expect you to beat Red! Reaaally excited for next week's
I'm legitimately curious to see how you get past Jasmine, since you can't poison her pokemon
He used dig and nightshade guys
Also I used to listen to pokemon creepy pasta yeeeeeears ago, and I decided to look them up again recently because you know we're in the spooky season, and I 100% used to listen to your creepypasta videos. It was like meeting up with an old friend lol. It was surreal
Spinarak learns Psychic at level 53
@@jon9274 It's not a STAB and is still resisted by Steel, might as well use Giga Drain which is neutral against Steelix. Unless it lucks out and has HP Fire, FIghting, Water or Ground
I thought you meant Janine for some reason. >_
@@ZorotheGallade yeah I misread the comment and thought they were talking about the poison gym lol
Night shade would probably be the best bet for Jasmine.
He used dig, which is super effective.
Oh I'm so excited for next week, I love the Wurmple lines!!
Since this is a Johto run with a bug type, I wouldn't expect you to do this soon, but I hope you do Ledian in Heartgold/Soulsilver
Thanks for this. My Halloween so far has kinda sucked, and this helped soften the blow.
You should try completing any game with 1 hit KO moves only!
Pokemon emerald or ruby or sapphire (whichever one you want) using only a single beldum
In combat you can only use beldum (you will need other Pokemon for HMs but you won't be able to use them in Battle)
No glitches or exploits
You will need to use items in Battle
It'd be really boring, since it can only learn Take Down and doesn't have bad enough stats to justify using items in-battle like Magikarp.
It's really great seeing uploads even when you're not feeling super well, but make sure to take care of yourself. If you need to do a pokemon challenge in 2 parts we'd understand if you need more time to rest
"only two people controlling one character"
"only"? What's your alternative? 5 people?!
Maybe you should've cut a little more out of the template when referencing that one mdb :s
I just wanna say you're one of the coolest and most dedicated TH-camr I've ever watched. Keep it up!
A few challenge ideas: Pokemon Heartgold with only Mareep
Pokemon Black with only Street Sharx (Sandile from the Pokemon X playthrough)
Comments are good for the algorithm
Tactical analysis of the run. It's still good for the TH-cam algorithm:
1/ Ground is not super-effective on Bug/Poison.
Sounds like it could be interesting.
You say that like reversal is reliable but it’s as weak as rock smash unless you take a bunch of damage. I literally took snorlax over heracross because of how bad it was before gen 3
@@neptune7872 Hey, Reversal is more reliable than counter at level 27, but yeah it still sucks
I have it on my crystal team. I wish I knew how bad it was before I got attached.
It literally gets the most powerful bug type move in the game what the heck are you on about?
i’m long time viewer by now and i just wanted to say i have big respect for you and your grind. appreciate the great content man
Saying this before I see the run's start: 100% sure this is doable.
The only one that wasn't doable was Wobbufett (and I guess Magikarp, but he knew it was impossible without items, so he didn't even restrict himself with that)
Pokémon challenge: gen 1 only krabby, no hm slaves. Krabby can learn all three required hms
Good video, interesting that Spinarak isn't as tough as I thought! Keep it up!
*Warning Wall of Text Immanent proceed with caution and time.*
*Note to everyone this is a retelling of the elite four*
Pokemon Trainer Mah-Dry-Beard
Partner Pokemon: Spinarak
Spinarak:
Gender: Male
Nickname: Sabu
Type: Bug, Poison
Moves: Leech Life, Sludge Bomb Night shade, Dig
Stats: Undefined
Ability: Undefined
Following our two hero's on their journey, they finally conquer victory road and are met by the Elite Four, and behind them is the Champion Dragon Master Lance. Lance personally greets our young adventurer.
Lance: "Hello and welcome to the Champion Cup, you'll have to beat each one of the Elite four in an elimination format and subsequently me if you wish to become the champion of the Johto Region. I will wait for you in the final chamber, please make your final preparations now."
After this last minute encouragement from our regions strongest trainer MDB plans a few strategies and prepares several held items in advanced.
*read on*
Sabu as swift as the wind received the command to attack and with reckless abandon splashed the bird with a powerful stream of sludge quickly incapacitating the bird.
This promises to be a fun and legendary battle, I wish you luck."
With that said Sabu become ever more confident, victory and glory within reach it burst out of its pokeball and onto the field awaiting Lance's first pokemon, without a second thought Lance sent out his Gyarados to greet the Spinarak and the battle begun.
You spent a lot of time on this
@@wolfheart5408 imma be honest I forgot I wrote this what I do remember is it took me like 20 minutes to write off the top of my head.
I’m in the middle of a gen 2 Spinarak challenge myself. Can’t wait to see if you are taking the same approach as I am.
Night shade saved me big time against Jasmine.

Please can you do “Can I beat Pokémon Platinum with only Smeargle”
+1
Oh, I love the cat cameo. They are so cute and Sabu looks so annoyed being filmed while getting groomed.
Has anyone noticed that he can’t do the fossil joke in gen 2
He has Youngster Joey for that.
Yes
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
Jsi borec. Mám moc rád tvoji tvorbu.
Can I just say I love watching a Spinarak defeat a freakin Dragonite. That image is hilarious. I’d love to see a trainer in the anime pull that off.
Love the videos my man! Id love to see you do a Spoink only run in gen 3. Keep up the great work :)
I saw the timestamp at 14 mins and got scared like Spinarak got my boy but he didn't.... great shit bro keep it up
Ok so I just want to let you know how incredibly lucky that red fight was. I was doing research for a strategy I use and found the percentage for each crit stage. I may be misremembering the exact percentage, but you got 3 crits with a 6.25% chance to hit each of them. That is insane luck. Also great video man keep them up they always bring a smile to my face.
Red's dot dot dot at the end there seemed fitting after those crits lol
And quick claw luck
Crit Claw :P
11:52 "At level 75" wait, you are at 95, yikes xD (love your videos, hope you keep doing them cause I enjoy them a lot
Yay you used Spinarak!
This takes me back to the HGSS randomizer when Whattageek said “Use Spinarak!”
I have a few challenges, but they are probably very hard, Pokemon Fire Red with a single Geodude or Pokemon Emerald with a single Ditto, both would be a challenge :) love all your videos!!
im confident you can beat the entire game! also your cat is super cute
That clip of your cats was the greatest gift you could possibly give us
I don't think you'll ever lose a challenge again tbh. You're too good!
Aww man, I miss purple spinarak. What a cute boi.
Great vid as always !
Spinirak is such an adorable Pokemon we forget about. Thanks for spotlighting it here!
MDB please never stop making your amazing wrestling references. They make me very happy lol
You know what naw this calls for a bold suggestion
A Pokemon game with one Azumarill
Great job. That ending was incredible.
Oh. A Spinarak(A Spider) run on Halloween.
Love the irony.
Sludge Bomb would do more damage than Dig to Arcanine so the crit didn't matter against Blue
Glad to see you’re uploading again! Love the new cat!
Idea for a challenge: (if you didn’t do so already)
HM’s only in battle
No ‘mon restractions
Item usage up to you
Gen/version choice up to you
Might not be an “original” idea, but I’d be interested nontheless (of course if you did it already, I’ll just go watch that instead, as I didn’t check before writing this)
Best of luck and stay safe!
Also forgot to mention that I found you from your Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced walkthrough and your HoI4 video (the how to play one)
Every single game that has HMs requires at least one use of an HM outside of battle. So requiring that HMs be used only inside of battle makes every game impossible.
Thank you for more content of Sabu the babbu, he's a very good toasted marshmallow
Spinarak has decent offense, so with a quickclaw to make up for the speed it's not surprising the little guy managed to win it all. Still required a lot of luck, congrats.
MDB, I'm surprised you don't livestream these challenges in real time on twitch. I'm sure you'd get a large amount of support my guy
I'd love to see a shiny only challenge from you! While it'll technically be easy it'll take time to find shinies. Yes im aware theres many others who have done the challenge but I think it'll be fun from mdb!
Hate to point out the obvious, but this is already a shiny only. That's a shiny spinarak.
It's not a shiny spinarak, that's just what spinarak looks like in this game
Great run as always, looking forward to the double Pokémon run.
My challenge suggestion: Pokemon Leaf Green with Ralts
Wow didn't expect such a short video, considering spinarak sucks XD I really liked the challenge though.
Please do a Marill only run in HG/SS in the near future :3
I love the "with only two people" that was casually thrown in there out of habit. It made me laugh.
I love these videos! Hope you and the fam are doing good
Didn't expect this to be so short. Guess Spinarak is better than I thought!
That was a spinny challenge. But do you know who can spin like a real breakdancer?
Stunfisk
Can you beat Pokemon Black2/White 2 with only a Stunfisk?
I looked away for a minute when you were at bugsy and you were explaining koga
Man, Spinarak with the hidden Super Luck ability before abilities existed. Getting all dem crits.
Good stuff fam, nobody else cares about the other content keep up the Pokémon challenges
I'm sure it's been brought up and requested before but it would be pretty interesting to watch you do a nuzlocke. after all the experience from these challenges and tough match ups(and grinding lol) would be a fun time. even if it is short lived and a 1 time thing.
When Pokémon feels bad for you and let’s you just crit to victory
Nice run/challange! Was fun to watch! Can you do something like this with shuckle or zubat plz?
I feel like we should get a HeartGold/SoulSilver run at some point, with a Gen 3 or 4 mon. Maybe with, say, only Mantyke?
Though a Platinum Mantyke only run would be cool too.
MDB: No way to deal with poison types.
Me: Dig man! Dig! It hits all but Crobat!
Worth noting that since bug resists ground, Dig would be on par with Sludge bomb in damage against those bug/poison types due to STAB and Dig being weaker in Gen 2/3
1:52 Died at “great evil” I know that exactly lmao. 20 years of cats here
Ayy I do appreciate these solo bug-type runs. Maybe a Surskit one next time on gen 3?
11:51 That's a weird looking lvl 75 spinarak you got there. I am guessing you wrote that in the script because of Snorlax being lvl 75.
Amazing vid, as always. Look forward to the next oblivion one though. When you did your Gen 3 Onix run, did you call him Rock-Water-Onix?
