I remember going to Johnny's back in '94 and getting so drunk that when I went to the toilet I couldn't find my way back to where my mates where. I got lost and somehow ended up outside, Went for a Jalfrezi in the Curry House that was up the street. As an Irish lad it was first ever proper curry in England.
At 13:01 minutes in I thought for a moment that was either Captain Birdseye or Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses sat opposite you ! 😂

Hudds Uni alumni here. LOVE your tours of Hudds. Didn't go to any of the pubs you went to - really only went to the Zetland as it was over the road from the Uni. Def do a review of that and show the inside for all us Hudds grads who have moved away. Also you HAVE to do a video about the Merrie England's in Huddersfield. Legendary! The world needs to know about them.
Zetland sadly closed down some years ago now, it was a good pub.
Hi Deano, I'm a Huddersfield lad myself, loved the video, keep up the good work.
You seem to have capacity for Guinness similar to mine. I'm not huge drinker but if I start on the Guinness it can get messy. I'm likely to get through four in the first hour alone. It does slow down after that, maybe 2-3 an hour. That stuff just slides down like milkshake.
Excellent prices for a Guinness, not like what we have to pay in London.

Lived there till 1986, all my life I never went into Johnny's, not my kinda place. I much preferred the albion when it was a rock bar.the white Swan used to be the pen and cobb, it was the place to be in the early 80s when mick ran it.
Omg my first pint in a pub at 18 years of age was 28p...Trophy bitter ..had only one and then moved on to the larger at 31p a pint ...😂😂😂
