I'd say, You got a Hell of a lot done there today Chris, Like you said, got it all from the tree stand cleared, all of it taken off the pond dam, got the drain running, and got , looks like half of the brush off the front side. And the "Grab and Drag" system seems to be working pretty good too !! lolol... Just don't seem like you got a lot done but, you sure did !! Really enjoyed it Man !! Thanks for taking time each day and getting video to share, I really enjoy it !! But, Great as always !! Looking forward to the next, Have a Great weekend, and Evening !! And, On too the Next....
You did ALOT Chris and it is looking amazing!!! Your talents amaze me as I watch you operate that monster machine with such finesse!! Thank you for taking me along!! 😊
Considering the zip line ladder was in your way, glad to see you made use of it for that different camera angle. That was pretty interesting perspective.
Man the 220 is a good looking machine and just looks like an all conquering metal beast on that little dam....and nice angle from the ladder makes the red LD18 logo stand out, nice work.
My recomendation for what it's worth would be a good layer of dirt on the front side of the target pile so retreval of the lead at a later date would be eastier. Thanks again for great video.
Chris that was a lot of muddy mess you relocated today. Can't wait to see this completed pond. Very pretty location. Waiting patiently for my aerial views. Thanks form Texas. Send us some rain. No snow please.
Chris, you are hard on yourself. Some operators around here would take a week to do what you did in a day. You did a fine days work for the way it had to be done. As usual, you used your head for more than a hat rack and moved the ball down the field. IF the ground was harder there are faster ways to do things, but the "if" is the point. You had to deal with reality and made it work without creating a major mess. Kudos, man. Job well done.
Good job Chris, I do heaps of clearing and dragging scrub and debris just the way you are doing it here with our 30 ton machine, sometimes its the only way to do it by the time you muck around with a skid steer and dump truck its quicker and more efficient to just use the excavator, plus your tracks leave a nice cleared track on the way back! Nice work.
Hey Chris you don’t need to justify your work with us, you are a person with a great work ethic who cares about doing a great job for your customers and it is evident with your work load and all your loyal followers who wish you the best. Happy New Year!!

Yea I wouldn't have brought the haul truck either, that ground looks like if you put something heavy on it an drive in the same spot, big ol deep ruts would form an not to mention if you get stuck your by yourself so that complicates things too, awesome work Chris, that pond is gonna turn out sweet as all your pond rehabs do, thanks for sharing bud an I look forward to seeing your next video 🌲💪🇺🇸

Hi Chris. Sometimes you don't seem to achieved much because you start 3 jobs but haven't finished anything. The next day, you finish those 3 jobs and you feel you have done a lot. I love it when a plan comes together as they say.
Heck Chris I think you got a lot done on that pond job today it didn’t look like it until you walked back down by the siphon pipe. So anyway brother another great video and you and John and yawls family stay safe and keep the videos coming my friend can’t wait for tomorrow’s video to come out
You could drill a big hole in the inlet pipe at the level you want the pond to stop at when you are draining. When it drained down to the hole it would suck air and lose the prime. Just an Idea.....
Such fun to have that machine to clean up the mess and do such a great clean-up job. Super fun to watch. That ladder stand appears to make a good camera location.
i just started operating at my new job and love it!! im mainly just in a 470 komatsu loader but every now and then i get into the excavator.. plowed snow today in the 380 was a blast! love the videos
Silly question Chris here in the UK anything over a 4 ft pile of vegetation would create heat to help break it down but we don't have any where near the temperatures you do over there is there a risk of self combusting or will it break down to quick
Here in the US the vegetation usually gets burned on site in large piles or it gets hauled off to a dumping site or land fill. Not a common thing for piles to combust without a starter source.
it’ll build heat as it decomposes but may or may not self combust, but maybe the right day, temperature, humidity level, barometric pressure and a few other factors, and the introduction of some hot lead…you may be able to roast some marshmallows!
Hmm, You said that you have completely drained a pond with siphon because missed judging the amount of water flow. Why not put a reducer Tee on the supply end down in the lake, with say 2” pipe sticking up to the height of the water you want. Then, when the water level reaches that the siphon will now suck air break the vacuum, stop the water flow.
No slouch act that's for sure. Reorganised what nature allows including beavers and man. Hope the beaver doesn't block the siphon in payback. Loved the overhead from the zipline.
Surprised that small of a pipe would draw that much water. We cleaned out a spillway ditch about 2 feet wide and maybe 6 inches deep on an acre pond and it ran all day before it seemed to have an effect on the water level. Guessing there was a spring feeding it?
Well dang!! I was hoping good ole’ Saint Nick would leave you a brand new Volvo EC250E, or a EC300E excavator with all your favorite buckets wrapped in a big red ribbon and a fine, fine jug of premo WhiteLightening otherwise known as Corn Likker sitting on the seat waiting for you to take manly pull from it.
