have you read up on it? like how it needs a firmware flash out of the box? and the various ways you can upgrade it? there's a lot of info on the Discord if you ever need help or advice!
@cyrollan Thanks, mine got delayed since the PC mode usb is out of stock. I received an email saying that there is no current plan to restock. I tried flashing the pc mode image but my current pc is too old and doesn't have enough memory for such a task. I am looking for someone to flash a USB for me.
I really enjoy my VCS, its quirky for sure, but its been my main console since early 2022 after my Xbox One died. I did the ram, and hdd upgrades, and slapped some thermal paste in it to calm that fan down! I do hope Atari continues to support the console for at least another year or does something with Atari OS in the future.
I've had an Atari 2600 since the mid 80's and it still works, so 40 years going strong. My favourite games are Pacman, Asteroids, Decathlon, Combat, River Raid 2 and Joust!

I agree with you, I really like my VCS. I don't play it enough, but when I do, I enjoy it. I love the indie games that come to it, and even the first party titles. On the subject of YARS Rising... I think it is a fabulous game! Try it! It is not a sequel to the originals, but it is related... it is very well done, and a ton of fun!
@@islygon I will give it a try. I love way forward. And yeah it's not my daily console. I use my Steamdeck and Xbox series S more. But the VCS is great for a pick up and play console. I love turning it on, cracking open a beer and playing for a few hours
I remember when you and the vcs first started dating. I wasnt sure you two were going to work out. You're so outspoken and the vcs seemed so shy, so reserved. But maybe it's true that opposites attract, and here you two are, two years later.
I have a important question has the developer of ends reach said the game ends reach is not going to be ported to other platforms now? meaning ends reach is a permanent Atari vcs exclusive? @@TurboZoneGaming

Zip code error and I boxed it up and haven’t touched it since. Shame as I enjoyed playing it then couple of times I did.
