Then again I'm not musically educated so I wouldn't have known the song was lacking but I liked the sound of it and I loved it in general (and still do) because it's TVXQ!!! (Enough said tbh)

BTW this album is the one that reflected TVXQ's opinions and wants the most! They have been doing SMPs and swing jazz that required a lot of strong rampageous dancing and vocals like Changmin's shouting and Yunho's aggressive raps, and for the new album, they wanted to do something else, like "The Chance of Love" and "Love Line" with easier and simpler but neat, classy, sophisticated dance, and comparably softer vocals. And that is what TVXQ's fans have also been asking for! And that is why this album is called "New Chapter"! :D)

This comeback is great if you're a fan and just want to sit down, relax and enjoy your bias after a long time, but it's not that much appealing to the public. But I'm really glad you guys reacted to it thank you soo much. Also, I checked your lists and I saw you guys are going to react to "Triangle". I understand why it would be interesting for you to react to it, but, if you guys are gonna react to ot5 songs, then, please, focus also on the reason why they were so big and recognized at that time: the incredible vocals. I recommend Bolero (live at Tokyo Dome). Is the best example of their vocals and the instrumentals, teh song composition is also great and I think would be valiable for you to react.
I really like Love Line even though I'm not a huge TVXQ fan. It's so clean and nice. I'd love a reaction to Millic's Igloo (ft. Clubeskimo [Dean, Crush, Miso and Punchnello]). It's not new and it's not pop, but it's interesting... I'd actually be interested in seeing what you think. His first album came out in 2017 and it's hidden gem.
The Chance of Love is honestly a beautiful song nevertheless. They could've this, they could've that. But I believe this was the best version they could have put out with the song. That was EXACTLY what I thought. I was a bit disappointed by their reviews as well because I thought 'The Chance of Love' was one of the best songs TVXQ ever sang. It brought up more light, classy side of them which they haven't portrayed much in previous albums. I hope this channel doesn't focus ONLY on the technical/musical side. After all, 'The Chance of Love' was very popular in South Korea and the fans were indescribably satisfied to explore new aspects of TVXQ. During the promotion of 'Chance of Love; Chapter 1' Yunho and Changmin specifically mentioned in their interview that they wanted to try new genres that were popular and easy-listening, since they have been publishing heavy, large songs in the past. No matter what they said in the video, I totally loved the song and I am very grateful that TVXQ appreciated our fan's request and tried appealing different charms/attractions.
I love this channel, they're very good at fulfilling their purpose, and they've helped me to be able to analyze the music I listen to better. But there's a point where a purely musical analysis isn't sufficient for kpop. Dance makes up at least a third of kpop as a distinct art form, and the songs sometimes reflect that. Though they're often good at being both danceable and musically complex, a song like chance of love I think focuses more on the dance in the chorus. It makes me personally want to move haha, but more importantly it's accompanied perfectly by the choreography. Kpop isn't just a music genre, it's a performance art genre, kind of like broadway, but pop music.
Woah. I was so sad you didn't like The Chance of love (suppose a great part of my own fascination is about the choreography), but then you helped me to hear more in Love line and appreciate it more. Thank you for the reaction!
This whole album is so chill. It's actually very nice and a change for me as a fan. Like they grew along with me as well (I have been a fan since high school when they first came out) If you watch from the start of their career to now you can see the changes. Maybe look at Puzzle by Yunho. Or bounce... Maybe idk

It sounds like Suju song, but sometimes the beat reminds me to Humanoid, and other people said it reminds them to Something (I think for their outfits.. tvxq are always very good in suits) 👍👍👍 So... I think in TCOL SM got more concern in VISUAL (please pay attention for the visual details in this MV... They are really good). Bcoz the concept for this album is MAGAZINE, so the visual is important part. And about the choreo is simple compare to their choreo before. But the music is so catchy then whenever we listen it we want to shake our body. About love line... Ah, I love for the first time I watch it. First even if maybe it is not 'ultra interesting' as you point out, I find it really catchy and I love every sections of it. And the charisma of Yunho and Changmin stands out so much in it that I am surprised you did not notice that. I find them mesmerising in this MV, and it is why I love it more than many of their previous songs. (Even if I love almost all of them).
Could you also react to tvxq when they were 5? They were able to sing together exceptionally well even though they all have very distinct voices. Bolero is pretty wonderful (the live version tho) and it shows them as like a unity.. its also an interesting song, there is like half a minute where i still get goosebumps everytime i listen to it!!

This react was honestly such a mood. I adored Love Line so much more than Chance of Love in my first watch/listen. Love Line was literally so sweet and wholesome MV-wise and song-wise.
