I think the first Jurassic Park fits into this as well. Never heard of that one mentioned, but the work done with animatronics mixed with some cgi in that first movie is insane.
Nah. Its too fake
@@CaptainPupuAlmost as if it’s a fictional story in a fictional universe.
@@iamjohnfarlow 99% of the movies are fictional, smarty-pants. Do I have to explain to you what a fake movie is? I don't. Look at the childish animatronics in poorassic park. Compare that to the brilliance of inglorious bastards of kill bill or interstellar or Lord of the rings. Fictional has nothing to do with it, you simply can't understand the basic concept I threw out.
I’ve heard people call it the perfect movie multiple times
@@CaptainPupu what specificly is "too fake" about it? The dinosaurs still look amazing and hold up now. Its one of the biggest movies of the 90's and is still one of the biggest movie franchises over 30 years later for a reason. All that is owed to the success and amazing work in the first movie. Professional SFX artists still talk about just how amazing Jurassic Park's special effects/CGI are and how well they hold up even today. Watch the Corridor Crew talk about it on youtube.
So if its not the CGI, what specificly is too fake about this fictional movie? All science fiction is "fake", its not meant to be a documentary. Back to the Future is fake also, you have to be more specific about why you feel this movie doesnt deserve the same respect as those others listed. Jurassic park is more in the realm of believability than Back to the future, scientists are currently working on bringing back extinct species.

You know i can respect a filmmaker who is an actual fan of movies.
The 70s was a great decade for movies.
You have to admire Tarantino’s honesty. He mentions almost exclusively ‘70s movies. He also notoriously hates the ‘80s era of movies, but even he can’t deny the perfection of Back to the Future
I'm curious what his thoughts are on "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", that was such an epic movie and stood out for me along with BTTF, and one as a non-sequel that also comes close to being a perfect movie.
I mean, i can't imagine hating a ton of movies from the 80s, cause its one of my favorite Decades for Movies. but each to their own. i DO fucking adore Texas Chainsaw Massacre though.

The kind of movies he considers the best defines him perfectly.
So your into scat porn then
He didn’t say “best”. He said “perfect”. There is a distinction. By “perfect” he just means that the pacing, writing, direction, performances, etc, all conspire to execute the films vision perfectly, for the intended audience. However, many of the best films ever made are flawed in many of these respects. B2TF isn’t a better movie than Apocalypse Now, for instance. While the latter is flawed and messy, it was much more artistically ambitious than B2TF. It’s easier to aim for perfection when the premise and goals of the project, are more simplistic in nature.

It's about clarity of vision and execution. where every aspect of the film comes together perfectly with nothing extraneous and nothing missing. Films are such huge collaborative efforts so this requires a great deal of luck as well as talent, skill and effort, thus being rarely achieved

"I'm your huckleberry."
Good lord did Val Kilmer knock that one out of the park.
The godfather😔
"Back to the Future is a perfect movie" Marty McFly travels back in time to when Doc comes up with the flux capacitor, his parents meet, and a lightning strike happens in a way that Marty knows the exact time and place of, all by pure coincidence.
Were you intoxicated when you wrote this? That first part is all out of order lol
"Casablanca" is perfect. There is not a single useless line, not a single wasted scene, and every single performance--from the leads to the bit parts--is perfect. The music is great, the lighting is great, the dialog is suberb---flawless film.
except that it's completely and utterly boring and no one under the age of 5000 thinks its a good movie
100%agree in my top 3 and I am 27 not 5000 lol
So, in the 6950s, Casablanca will experience a huge renaissance 🤔
@The Nerdy Barbarian that's okay maybe they'll have brains and eye transplants in the future
@@NemyacX lmao alright. You’re exactly the kind of people QT is talking about. The movie is not of your taste so you’re resorting to calling it boring, which could just be you having a low attention span, or saying young people don’t like the movie, which only further corroborates you having a low attention span.
Either way, your critique of Casablanca says more about you than it does about the movie itself.
I could watch young Frankenstein everyday and still chuckle. One of the funniest movies ever maxr
"DAMN YOUR EYES!..." 👀 "Too late." 😂
When he stabs himself with the scalpel while sitting down.
Frau blücher! (horse neighs) lol😂
Marty Feldman was hilarious! "Ain't got no body, and no body's got meee!😂😂😂
dude just mention the movies he could afford as a kid XD
This is the same kind of weirdly perfect description like John Williams made of his music. “Every note logically follows the previous one”. Yup. It’s just true.
That warden seems super nice
The princess bride is my go-to perfect movie
As you wish
Best all around movie there is.
It’s in a genre all of its own, I remember as a kid not knowing how I should feel about that movie.. couldn’t tell who it was made for
Inconceivable!
(It's the best adaptation of a book I've ever seen)
@@robh7800 I think I know what you mean but I definitely knew it was made for me. But you’re right, it’s very different.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is his favorite movie.
his favorite doesnt necessarily mean its the most perfect
@@_peepee_ 🙄
@@_peepee_ Oh really, what movies do you consider “perfect?”
@@user-qe7bt9dz1l im just saying that theres a difference between your favorite and the most perfect. sometimes imperfections make the movies better. i think citizen cane is an example of a nearly perfect movie, but its not my favorite
@@user-qe7bt9dz1l It’s the inverse of what he said at the beginning. A movie can be your absolute favorite even if you still find flaws with it.
Heat is a ef'n masterpiece!
Shawshank Redemption and Jurassic Park...
As soon as I saw that BTTF clip I wanted to watch it again Perfect film
My fav movie but not perfect has plot holes
Incest
@@TheLizzardWizzard that's the best part of the movie 😉
The Good the bad the ugly should be added on that list
@@DannyCosmos sometimes the quality of a movie isn’t measured by plot holes
