Those ravioli are fine, you just need some butter and olive oil on them. That sauce will overpower the taste of the ravioli filling!
Mel I had purchased a Wallas diesel hob for my 609d but ended up selling it at a loss. Never installed it. The exhaust and intake plumbing would have taken up far too much space under the counter and wouldn’t have reached below the floor at my countertop height so would have had to make more holes in the side of the van. I also found the heat plate was very slow to heat up. I ended up going with induction as I didn’t want gas. I was able to go from 230ah lifepo4 to 460ah lifepo4 after selling the xc duo. I know that might not be viable for you being full time but do try and get to see one of those diesel hobs up close and in action before you invest in one.

Imagine clicking on this video to watch a van build but over half of it be some bloke cooking his lunch.😂 will the cold not travel down the turret and cause a thermal bridge?
Tip for anyone wanting to cook pasta in a van but thinking of the ten minutes of steam , soak the pasta for 2 or 3 hours first in tap water to rehidrate and add it to your sauce for a quick one pot meal and save on fuel and no great steam issue causing condensation

RE..The Maxxfan… the 350 x 350 version uses the same fan as the larger one, it just has a smaller cutout size/ trim ring etc.
Thought I’d say just incase you didn’t know 👍🏼 I used the 350 version on my sprinter as it fitted between the roof ribs better
If only I had known that before I ordered the one I have now 🤦♂️

I had the chance of a bay window camper about 35 years ago , for not alot of money can't remember how much exactly. The problem was it had had the interior ripped out and converted to a van. Imagine that converting a campervan to a van.😂

I'm entirely with you on food additives, and using fresh ingredients to cook from scratch wherever possible. I don't know what type of salmon you buy, but farmed salmon (and trout) swim in what's essentially a soup of antibiotics, which are added to their water to keep diseases at bay. I always buy wild salmon, which might cost a little more, but doesn't come with a dose of Oxytetracycline.
Incidentally, I read recently that attempts are being made to reduce the use of antibiotics in fish-farming, but the industry is still a long way off zero use.

Hi Mel, just in case your not aware, I have fit 2 max fans to my van 1 of each size, thinking I'll have the 400 at the front and their smaller one (360x 360 I think it is) anyway my point is the 2 fans are identical.in size, the 400 size is literally just the surround size of the plastic surround so you can replace a older unit on a caravan etc so you can go for the smaller size and gain a bit of room in the turret area of your van and not be sacrificing the size of the fan, hope this helps you in your choices, great channel by the way, very helpful

Please check the salmon, some are wild caught some is farmed, the way to tell is the closeness of the white lines in the meat,..even salmon isn't what you think, most of the worlds oceans are contaminated from the Fukashima disaster,...

I do a carbonara in my truck ...using same plastic pasta you had..I fry mushrooms and bacon 1st..then boil pasta in frying put everything back in and add a lasagne white sauce then eat out of frying pan ..heat garlic bread with a bit of mature cheese in airfryer..total cost 6 euro for 2 days dinner.

The 350x350 Maxxfan is the same size as the 400x400 Maxxfan. The 400 has a bigger mounting plate for European vans the fan is the same size.

You should be cooking with electricity. Must be room on the roof for >1kW of panels, use one of those nice Bluetti boxes able to push out about 2kW and store the same from the roof (and the engine when running). Single fold-away induction hob, small 1.5kW kettle, small microwave - all you need. An 1800 watt hob sounds a lot but you only use full power for a few mins for each meal, same with making a cup of tea.
We have induction and an air fryer - but it’s harder to film from that angle as it’s hidden underneath the gas hob. This is clear for the filming so this is how he’s cooking
Go Pro sound is OK.
Ravioli made for hundreds of years and is very good for you, but like all things as part of a balanced diet.
When it comes to food sauces the devil in the details.
Try them with just a bit of olive oil and some parmi.

What kind of AC unit will you be fitting, roof mounted or internal?, we have a Truma roof mounted, it’s very efficient.
Really like the look of these varios, I imagine for the age etc you could have some nightmares getting spare parts etc ?

Van with windows Mel. DVLA gave me that classification on my V5 and you have seen my photos of the build. Complied with absolutely everything and their reason for not giving it Motor caravan classification???? "It didn't look like a motor caravan in traffic"! They also gave me £100 to bribe me.

each hob can run on a lower setting or 460watts each, making it simultaneously usable with a small electric over, from my 4000watt inverter. I remembered your going with big solar so this could be very usable.
