The fact that you guys used the Paillard Chamber Orchestra arrangement and performance of the Canon is as much a stroke of genius as your lyrics on top. If you listen, close to the end of the Paillard version during the crescendo, Paillard added a flourish of dissonance to the piece. It makes it heartbreaking in a way, and gives it even greater beauty by adding a touch of pain. Thankyou for doing this. It brings back a sense of dignity to the Canon that has been almost lost by too many cheerful weddings and garden parties. The canon was originally meant as a piece for sadness and catharsis, like Barber's Adagio, it's beauty is only made stronger by its pathos. Your words give it a greater gravity. So thank you.
