I understand that it’s labeling but if you have not had a person close to you in your life, you have no idea what it’s like. There are bridges on fire EVERYWHERE. It’s exhausting. And I honestly do not have the skills for this despite years of therapy for MYSELF.

"When a court case comes to an end they come up with something else...".
I know that one. I think it's an effort to mess up the discussion, as they don't like to be judged. It works with someone who isn't used to arguing, as it breaks the discussion up into a thousand pieces, going nowhere. It's just that in a court, it's too late.

This is very helpful, and it all makes total sense. Not judging not labeling rather recognizing patterns of behavior and understanding symptoms for your own piece of mind. Don't put them I charge of your life! I love it!

i read Bill's book. My question is how to deal with this knowledge without falling in prejudice against people who are having HCP and personality disorder?

Thank you for helping me define the issues i have been dealing with in my partner. I care about her deeply and have exausted myself trying to help shift these behaviors in my spouse. She has many good qualities but is in consistent conflict with each member of the family, even the dogs lol. I have learned to live with these behaviors but i can see them having traumatic psychological effects on my daughters. How can i protect them and teach them how to deal with these issues.

How do you come to a resolution if you think it is related to a traumatic brain injury?

I don't think this discussion is complete without acknowledging the passive-aggressive high conflict person who seeks to provoke but without accountability.

Yeah totally do not label them show empathy etc.but why do we have to be so careful to the slightest details while they make life miserable people around them. I don't think this speech truly acknowledges the situation.

To me, I think this behavior is a consequence of how they grew up. To share the book in a loving Way to make them aware it’s a gift. Nobody wants to stay in the dark really.
