A ambient / vaporwave album parody of The Caretakers "Everywhere at the End of Time", using edited and distorted samples from the soundtrack of the show "Spongebob Squarepants".
The video mix uses the "VQGAN+CLIP" google doc, which uses data to generate A.I images based on keywords. In this case, using words like "Spongebob", "Patrick", "Squidward", "Krusty Krab", ect. Edited in a way to morph together in a continuous motion, and the visuals replicate the viral "Can you recognize one thing in this image" post that went around, with images that seem familiar but are off and distorted.

The title for 'I am proof Neptune has no mercy' is such a raw line and really gets that bitterness part of dementia down.
Imagining spongebob becoming bitter over the course of the disease is kinda scary
Probably one of the most happy and life-loving creatures in his world losing what makes him *him* and not knowing why his life is suddenly becoming so unknown and cold... it's sad

I couldn't imagine having a friend that was a bottle of sunshine start to slowly melt into nothing but a sad and confused puddle. I couldn't imagine myself going through that.

It's strange how we have these meaningful connections to things exclusively from our past and childhood, and even ones that are kind of weird to think about objectively.
For you I guess it'd be that you (and I, frankly) grew up on spongebob and found it a happy time in life
And for me it's the small good moments from my dad that always pale in comparison to everything else.
Spongebob is a funny TV show that can be memorable, until you get to the latest seasons. Now it's forced and... dumb. Is it adulthood or the state of the entertainment industry?
Is it just time or is it an unchangeable descent into wanting what once was?
The word "I am proof Neptune has no mercy" reminds me of that episode of SpongeBob where he got stuck on a cave with some jellyfish for decades and when he come back, Bikini Bottom is a wasteland with no signs of life except SpongeBob and The Jellyfishes and there's a theory that this happens due to Neptune fault (such as his death)

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought of that episode listening to this. SpongeHenge unnerved me so much when I first saw it as a kid, I even convinced myself it was a false memory for awhile...this really captures the same uneasy feeling of that episode

Everywhere At The End Of Bikini Bottom to me feels like a representation of what SpongeBob has become over the years.
If you go back to the first couple seasons, the characters' personalities and behaviors feel less exaggerated and more realistic, like they are actually human.
But as time moved forward, the characters slowly began to deteriorate. Squidward's nice side which used to show sometimes is like completely absent now. SpongeBob's child like behavior has been turned up to 100. Mr. Krab's soft spot for SpongeBob seems to have practically disappeared, leaving him heartless and careless about SpongeBob as a person. Only caring because he sees him as a tool for making money.
All the personality has been stripped from the characters, leaving them predictable and stale.
It's almost like the characters are forgetting who they really are.
I see Everywhere At The End Of Bikini Bottom as a representation of someone remembering what SpongeBob used to be and how it's changed so much.
The difference between modern SpongeBob and golden age SpongeBob is like day and night.
I mean you could also get this from looking at the Image of Modern Spongebob looking into a mirror and seeing his Classic design staring back.
And from What little I've heard and seen from Modern Spongebob post Seasons 4-7 which I think everyone took issue with was the Flanderization. All I see are: 'The Spongebob Marks are in the studio now' and it shows with a lot more past references and experimental things to shake up the show for an episode idea or two. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing but you can just see it.

Classic Spongebob is 17 years old. Modern spongebob is that same 17 year old, now in his 40s and nothing in his life has changed.
I dont know if this is weird, but this kind of gives me hope. My grandma died of alzheimers and I personally know how much pain it can cause. But I also know that my whole life, through it all, spongebob has been there for me. When I was a very small child, he was there. When I was abused and neglected and traumatized as a child, he was there. In my teenage years hes been there. I never get tired of it. Spongebob has always been a comfort to me through the highs and lows and he always will be. I've been very scared of getting this horrible disease, but to imagine that spongebob is still there even in the midst of this - well, it's a great comfort. It makes the dark unknown a little more comfortable and like home. I know it might be weird, but I have a very personal connection to spongebob.

Unironically - I think this makes the fundamental point of the original Caretaker album much more easy to simulate and understand for younger generations. Gen Z, for example, isn't very acquainted with most 20s-40s ballroom music (although that's the type of music current, actual sufferers of Alzheimer's/dementia). But Spongebob music? We all know those tracks. And hearing them distorted in this almost unrecognizable way simulates that loss of memory in a way much more understandable.
Almost weird yet strangely beautiful that SpongeBob's soundtrack will be our equivalent like how ballroom music was to older people from the 1920s
Let's not forget about Minecraft's EATEOT album version, it's also a Gen Z version with Minecraft

Spongebob is diagnosed with an irregular brain disease commonly known as alzheimers for the human species. Sandy offers a more detailed explanation for Spongebob.
Spongebob now spends his early decline with his friends and cherishing old memories of before.
Although, he cannot find his pet snail gary. His attempts are futile because he keeps forgetting that gary passed a while ago.
Stage 2 13:48 to 24:40
Spongebob has begun to show signs of degradation and depression. He is often repeating words and saying jumble sentences. He can't seem to remember what day it is, or who that squid is.
Patrick has now given up on Spongebob, he cannot handle seeing his best friend become ruined by a disease. Squidward is his caretaker. Some of Spongebob's friends visit him from time to time. Sandy offers stories of 'kah-ra-tae', Mr. Krabs offers Krabby Patties made by him since Spongebob can no longer be a fry-cook. Sometimes Plankton sneaks in to check on Spongebob during the night hours.
Stage 3 24:40 to 41:54
Spongebob is unable to keep up conversations as long as he used to. Spongebob often times undergoes moments of severe panic and hostility before returning to calmness. He cannot recognize most of his friends or colleagues anymore.
Squidward draws art for Spongebob occasionally. Spongebob can't understand it, but Squidward knows that it's bringing him joy, somehow.
Spongebob will usually spend most of his day in bed.
Stage 4 44:00 to 51:51
Spongebob is nearing post awareness. He spends most of his day in bed, crying, staring at the wall or asking for his pet gary. He has trouble constructing words together, it's often a mixture of nonsensical words.
The plague at this point has built up a considerable amount.
Spongebob has begun drinking alcohol. Squidward tries his best to constrict Spongebob from drinking.
Stage 5 51:51 to 1:02:37
Spongebob is now in the final post awareness stages. He has forgotten himself, his friends and the ones he loves. He spends most of his day staring blankly into his ceiling. He has forgotten how to walk and is confined to his bed.
He doesn't talk, not much at least. Sometimes the confusion and horror may rupture to moments of lucidity, but these moments pass quickly as fast as they started.
His friends watch in horror as the sparkled-eye sponge is now confined to his bed, without memory. Squidward cannot handle being Spongebob's caretaker much longer, but hes refused to give him up to the Hospital.
Patrick feels bad about abandoning Spongebob, he curses king neptune.
Stage 6 1:06:00
...
Stage 7 1:25:24
As with most dementia patients, Spongebob has his terminal lucidity. His friends and loved ones are shocked, thinking the worst has come to pass. Spongebob is slowly slipping away.
Patrick, overcome with grief and guilt, goes next to Spongebob. He remembers him. They reminisce over the time they saved the crown from shell-city and that past adventures. Spongebob is overcome with a sense of happiness.
He slips slowly into his bed and passes away with Patrick by his side.

My favorite phase break down. Sea Kelp Entanglements and Bottom are 100% transition tracks.

I like sometimes things still seem fun it's a very good track
the first two songs are about how the kelp forest has disappeared as the bikini bottom has expanded greatly and all that is left is but memories of how it used to be. As Mr. Krabs wonders the small patch that is left, a part surrounded by buildings.
Missing The Soft Buzz Of The Jellyfish serves two purposes a reminder of the kelp forest and the other a sad reminder of the Krusty Krabs glory days. Nowadays krabs is lucky to get one or two customers a day.
Gary Has Passed, But His Memories Linger Still is about sponge bob losing his pet gary due to old age putting Mr. Krabs age into perspective. Spongebob no longer working at the krusty krabs but his memory along with the glory days of when the krusty krab was a massive success lingers. He asks Spongebob to work at the krusty krabs again but he has started his own restaurant so he refuses.
Remember Browsing The Aisles a cover of a familiar tune plays but the old store in which Krabs shopped is long gone. He is told by a cashier that this isn't a cover but the original song.
the next 3 songs. Krabs returns home after squidward finally quits after all these years to get a call from pearl about how she is loving her life in a different city and now has another kid on the way. He cries as he has trouble remembering the day she was adopted. He returns to the Krusty Krab with less hope for his business than he had before.
My Past Friend Who Has Given Up On Me is about plankton no longer hunting for the secret formula, and he his restaurant being demolished after years of not being in use. He hasn't seen him in years but receives a invite to his funeral a couple weeks after his restaurant was demolished
Sometimes, Things Still Seem F.U.N he returns to the krusty krab after the funeral but he keeps screwing up orders.
The Time Wasted In That Cursed Trap every day the krusty krab is less and less busy. Krabs let's his restaurant go. It becomes a dirty stinky mess.
the next two songs Krabs receives news pearls mother died and goes into a deep depression leaving his restaurant closed for about a month. Spongebob signs off on papers to take care of him after he attempts suicide. He tries to help him and his restaurant out.
Art By My Neighbor spongebob takes Krabs to see a performance of Squidward's, but krabs doesn't recognize his former employee.
The next two songs krab mental state begins to severely deteriorate. Spongebob has to sign on paperwork to close the krusty krab and find krabs a retirement home.
Sea Kelp Entanglements Mr. Krabs goes to Pearl mother funeral but is so far gone at this point that he cannot remember anyone at the funeral except for Pearl
Bitter Liquid, Release My Pain Mr. Krabs becomes a alcoholic as his depression increases due to his mental state worsen the problem
My Memories Of Her Keep Escaping Me Pearl comes to visit him this time he cannot remember her
Bottom Krabs body has complications due to the alcohol intake
The Knowledge Of The Secret Is No Longer Important Mr. Krabs starts writing down the krabby formula all over the walls of his room
Echoing Remains Of Memories That I Am Unsure Are Real Pearl comes to visit one last time as him Spongebob, Patrick, and her share memories they had. But Krabs memories are wrong and disjointed.
I Am Proof Neptune Has No Mercy Mr. Krabs tries to commit sucide
Momentary Panic Before Loosing Lucidity Krabs is so far gone he can barely maintain any aspect of his former self.
Eyes Staring At Me From Rock Bottom, They Are Calling Krabs goes through his day to day activities at the retirement home. Basically just going through the motions.
The Journey To Shell City Is Soon To End Mr. Krabs slips in the shower sending him into a coma after 3 weeks being hooked up to machines he dies of natural causes

The elderly man sat on the couch as his grandson came running to him:
"Grandpa! I've found a video on the Internet that talks about an old show called SpongeBob! I think it aired when you were my age!" the kid joyfully exclaimed.
The man's eyes illuminated as memories came flooding back. SpongeBob SquarePants...how could he forget that classic show? How could he forget all those afternoons back in the 2000s that he and his sister spent glued to the Television screen immersed in the world of that whacky cartoon sponge and all his friends as they munched on the delicious sandwiches their mother always used to prepare for them after school?
When the show finally came to an end, it had become a shadow of its former self, but those classic first seasons would always remain in his hearth. He recalled that Christmas Eve when he and his sister unironically wrote a letter to Santa Claus wishing for old Saint Nick to reveal the Krabby Patty secret formula to them.
Those were truly simpler times, when life seemed endless and he only had to worry about having fun and living in the moment....before having to go to college, before having to find a job, before having to raise a family, before the car accident that ended his sister's life...
The man remembered every aspect of the show, its unforgettable characters, settings and upbeat melodies...but those old tunes that he had listened to time and time again during his childhood didn't sound like they used to when they played back in his memories. Without the context that used to accompany them, they only made him tear up as they made him long for an era that was never going to come back.
"Hey, grandpa look! I think I've found the intro for that old show!" his grandson said as a familiar song started playing.
"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?" his grandson sang along with the music.
"SpongeBob...SquarePants..." the man uttered as he began to sing with tears in his eyes.

I'm not one of those "hhhh noSTALGIA MAN the world is so BAD AND DIFFERENT NOW" types, but this really did put into perspective how much things have changed since I was a kid, just watching Spongebob. Feels like so many people I know have moved on to better things, and I'm just stuck in the same day on repeat, going nowhere fast. I wonder if things will ever improve, or if the end of my life will be me desperately trying to recall memories, distorted, that may not have even happened, of a life well wasted.

In a grave yard deep under the sea next to Squidwards hopes and dreams next to a tomb stone with a giant 1 on it, there is a tombstone, with a jellyfishing net a clarinet a karate glove a spatula and many many flowers on it. On it it has words engraved on it saying "He was ready but we weren't"

Gary Has Passed, But His Memories Linger Still really hit me hard.
The song isn't even that sad sounding, it's the title that hit me so hard. Something about pets that have passed, wanting so badly to be able to go, pick them up, hug them and cuddle them but not being able to leaves such an empty, heavy feeling in my guts. Even if it's not my pet, and maybe I never even knew about them until after they've passed, I still can't help that deep, empty feeling. I hate it and I dread it every day.
Makes me want to snuggle all my babies so bad, past and present :c

like, that episode gives me enough of the creeps with how cold everyone is to the yellow guy, but the town just collapses after he leaves. is this what it feels like to watch the world die, knowing you had a hand in why?
This is what I felt from this album.
Spongebob over the years is seeing how everyone is annoyed by him when he is just being himself, realizing his own boss just wants his work not because he's a good person and is good at his job no, just because Spongebob doesn't mind how little he can get paid. After realizations and considerations he lost his hope and joy for the ocean, turning himself into nothing but a distant past, a memory. But the ocean needed him and his optimism. He left everybody, friends, family even Bikini Bottom! The only thing he had to keep him sane in the slightest was Gary. After his passing he lost touch with reality and lucidity completely. Nothing left in him, so he watched as Bikini Bottom slowly fell apart and crumble over years. Watches as the blue ocean sky with flowers fade to night. Kelp Forests melt and decay into nothing. Patrick's rock burry in the sand. The only thing left was SpongeBob sitting alone, in silence and in forever night. Everywhere at the end of Bikini Bottom.

i feel like this shows the deterioration of the show as whole, how it went from this joyous, amazing little work of art to this soulless show whos only purpose was to make money. a corruption of a beautiful world and the insanity that comes with it. this show used to be my favorite and now looking at the newer seasons, ive seen how they've destroyed and warped spongebob into something that is nothing like how the show was. the comedy isint even funny any more. thank you.

How I interpret this album
This is an old man, an old man who used to love SpongeBob as a child, trying to hang on to the only memories of it he has left. The memories of coming home from school and watching it for hours, staying up late watching it. Begging his mother to buy him the latest SpongeBob toy. He's so close to forgetting, but holds on as hard as he can, 'cause he can't stand to lose the memories of his happiest time in life

I personally like this theory, but there is some merit of a character, say, idk, Spongebob or Mister Krabs, or even a background fish, revisiting Bikini Bottom 40 or more years later, where everyone has moved out. It shows the feeling of decay without something like the Post Awareness Stages. But what do I know?

I actually really like this since it's based off of songs I've heard so many times. You know how the songs go but the way that these songs don't fully replicate them feels frustrating like when you're trying to remember something but you can't.
YES. dude i was sitting there near the end like "why cant i recognize these songs" and it really hit me on how sad it is to live with these kinds of memory loss issues. to feel as everything somehow is recognizable yet so far from understanding it. a similar thing is done in fnaf (hear me out) most fnaf animatronic sound affects in the first game are voiced by humans, but there are so many distortion filter that its in an uncanny valley on recognition and somehow being completely lost.

......This makes me feel things, man. Sue me, but watching SpongeBob in the 2010's with my Dad, right around when seasons 6-7 were playing, maybe earlier season 8, it just...feels right. Watching SpongeBob now still brings me this kinda comfort, like no matter what happens in my life, or my Dad's life, Bikini Bottom will remain. Spongebob will always be there. And nowadays, watching SpongeBob just reminds me of my dad...I'd be sitting on the floor of our old house, my dad on the couch, half-asleep, and we'd watch SpongeBob. Me and him still love that stupid old sponge, I truly cannot thank you enough, Dad. In the worst times you and Mom were always there for me, and for that, I thank you. I love you, Dad, and Mom if you're reading this.

Now this is just me, but I like to think this is what the title means: SpongeBob abandons Bikini Bottom and finds himself on the road to Rock Bottom. Last time he was there, it was a bewildering experience, but the mysterious denizens of the bustling abyss had grown on the young sponge. Even the local bus stop had plenty of friendly folks to talk to, though it was hard to understand their raspberry accents from time to time. Seeing as Bikini Bottom's gotten worse and worse over the years, Sponge decides to give Rock Bottom a try. Sure the inhabitants are weird and occasionally frightening, but they're an oddly friendly bunch. They're certainly a lot more polite than the Bikini Bottomites. (Seriously, anyone else notice how mean most people in Bikini Bottom are?) So in hopes of forgetting all the horrid experiences and to bury those heart-breakingly sweet memories, Sponge sighs and waits for a bus to emerge from the ninety-degree road, and once it does, he hops aboard and never looks back. Eventually SpongeBob finds a place to work similar to the Krusty Krab, but as you'd expect, it's pretty odd. (I imagine it's a lot like that Night Patty episode.) The customers are colorful and maybe the food's a bit odd, but it's oddly nice once he gets used to it. It pays pretty well, and his new boss is certainly a lot less of a cheapskate prick than Mr. Krabs.

I interpret this as Spongebob having dementia (40 years after the episode the quote above was said) because his relation to half of the track titles such as Jellyfish Fields and their Jellyfish, Gary, past friend(s), Squidward, his art and him making Spongebob tired of dancing so he can win to be in a show (Dancing Is Sadly An Activity Of The Past), dancing with Pearl I assume (That Dance With Her Was So Long Ago), the Krusty Krab being the “Cursed Trap” (and it being a crab trap), F.U.N with Plankton, The Secret Formula, Rock Bottom, Shell City, and as someone pointed it out, the Imagination Box as the album cover.

You know how Bikini Bottom is essentially an old navy ship graveyard within the Bikini Atoll coral reef?
Sorry if this sounds pretentious, but throughout this I imagine walking across the island and diving deep into its waters. Seeing the natural beauty but also see the destruction and effects the bombings had on the geography, the animals, and the Island's peoples. SpongeBob, being a sea sponge is almost immortal. Which means he's probably seen the Marshall Island's creation thousands if not millions of years ago. He's seen the wars, the invasions. He's seen mass extinction and pollution. He's seen friends and family pass into history and seen what the bombings have done.
But no matter what, he always tries to look optimistic. Spending as much time as he can with the ones he loves and care about before their time is up as well.
I feel like this is the soundtrack to SpongeBob exploring the deserted Bikini Bottom after SpongeHenge.
Only now did I realize how that episode ending fits so well with this parody album.

I sat in a pitch black room and had a powerful existential experience listening to this. A kind of waking nightmare, the total unraveling of my mind felt very near and I was lost for an hour and a half. Thank you for this spellbinding music.

I was watching that clip from SpongeBob where Mermaid Man "marries" Bob with the retirement home's caretaker...
After listening to EATOET I see that funny moment in a much darker light.
But even before that, I felt the style of SpongeBob's production music with its instruments (ukulele, steel guitar) would kind fit in neatly within the Caretaker's original work.
So... I'm pretty glad this exists!
I honestly feel a stiff feeling. It's unnerving and creepy, put into prospective of how long spongebob as a show has been going on. Think of his Memories like a puzzle. It shows how spongebob is just struggling to remember and wants things to go back to the way they used to but doesn't know how they used to be as it goes on he forgets day after day. Gary has passed: he realizes how Gary his pet who was with him throughout the old times he was a piece to the good old times. My past friend has given up on me:I imagine it's something like Patrick trying to get spongebob to remember him and to try and spend time with him. As spongebobs brain is a bowl of mashed potatoes it gets moldy and mushy loosing its color and tast Patrick finally gives up. It takes another peice from this puzzle away spunch bop forgets him the echoing sounds of being a goofy goober. Sometimes things still seem fun: spongebob is saddened and feels like he's cause of the feeling of being let down he's trying to make the most of it each second of it. It seems fun as he is degrading. It'll all be over soon. Ripping a peice. That dance was so long ago: this could be his dance with pearl ot was his early reflection of who he was. A fun person who just wanted to help and make people happy who he wants to be and do again. Memories keep repeating: his brain is like a cycle going in circles but it's like a washer the dirtyness of the clothes is a sign of his Memories being wiped out each spin. Wake up. Be strong. Neighbors art: squidward worked with him and showed his care for spongebob, spongebob can see squidward sitting there saddened drawing/painting an expression of spongebob who is now a yellow blob once a fry cook with a big heart. Now desimesgrating sponge. Come back. Sunlight no longer reaches the ocean floor: think about it what do the sun and spongebob have in common. Well there yellow bright both inside and outside and help you see the better things in life. Spongebob is no longer what he once was he's not there helping and being joyful it's not bright. I'll miss you. my memories of her keep escaping: sandy. She helped sponge Bob learn karate and appreciate his home and was his sorta love intrest in the show. Spongebob cant move like he used to he cant learn like he used to. What is karate? I am proof Neptune has no mercy:spongebob is remembering the slightest bit from his greatest adventure. The movie he wants it back he wants to know if he does it again... will he go back to way things used to? Just a thought. But spongebob has to make room for a new thought/memory. Goodbye Mr krabs miss ya. Spongebob feels as if every puzzle peice will be put back if he goes on his hardest adventure going to shell city. The rocks in rock bottom have eyes they're calling me:spongebob is going on his journey to shell city as he is walking alone trying to make sense of it all he remembers the monsters from shell city the ones who helped him the substitute for them are the rocks singing. Where are the men? The journey to shell city is soon to come to an end:spongebobs almost there, with the last bit of joy he has left he made it he slowly walks as the water meeting the shore sounds are behind him he takes a step and dries up and lays down. He made it he blinks. Patrick?. This was my interpretation to make sense of this work of art it's so intriguing, scary and sad I love it.

Assuming that this is supposed to be sometime in the future where SpongeBob is dealing with dementia, some of these song titles hit like a ton of bricks...
_"Gary Has Passed, But His Memories Linger Still"_ - pretty self-explanatory, but still no less painful.
_"My Past Friend Who Has Given Up on Me"_ - suggests that Patrick cannot deal with SpongeBob's condition anymore, and has abandoned him.
_"The Time Wasted in That Cursed Trap"_ - suggests that at some point SpongeBob regretted the time he spent working at the Krusty Krab. That, or it is his dementia making him think he did.
_"The Sunlight No Longer Reaches the Ocean Floor"_ - to me suggests when SpongeBob finally gave up hope for himself.
_"Bitter Liquid, Release My Pain"_ - not sure entirely what this one could mean other than that SpongeBob is in unmatched pain, but it sounds awful.
_"I Am Proof Neptune Has No Mercy"_ - perhaps one of the hardest hitting, really says that SpongeBob's suffering and pain are great, but his end still has some more grueling time to drag on.
_"Momentary Panic Before Losing Lucidity"_ - although this signals the end of SpongeBob's suffering is nearing, the title is also extremely horrifying as the unknown of what losing all ability to think coherently even in the slightest lies ahead.
"Bitter Liquid, Release My Pain" at least in my opinion heavily implies alcoholism to cope with the condition, since alcohol is a bitter liquid and the song sampled is "What Do We Do With The Drunken Sailor"

I think this album is absolutely amazing. Not only does it capture the original "everywhere at the end of time" feel but it just really makes you think. Some people think that these songs are a series of events in a story taking place and some people like me think it means something completely different. For me anyways, I think this song is basically the creator telling everyone who says "I hate the new spongebob episodes! If only the new episodes were like the old ones", "Listen...you're never going to have that same feel that you got when you saw those episodes for the first time. You'll never have that same feeling as seeing spongebob and his friends act like what they once had because the show is too far gone for that to happen. Especially with all the new socially accepted stuff today, half of what the show does might not even be acceptable in todays standards. So...the quicker you accept that, the pain will hurt less." But...to me anyways, I don't want old spongebob to come back. The reason why is because I'm pretty sure that the main reason people even KNOW about spongebob today is because of those particular episodes and songs and different events that only happened in THOSE episodes. We can't replicate the same feeling that we had seeing spongebob or one of his friends go through such an relatable problem and in all honesty, that's why a lot of the "shows that got worse over time" are still relevent. Don't believe me? Well, lets take a look at the simpsons because that's the best example for this scenario. The simpsons started out as an very werid show with very clanky animation and just very uncanny drawings. However, once the simpsons were at its golden years, we had some classics that truly reformed television and changed our perceptions of TV shows forever. Nowadays, the show is just...average. But the reason why the simpsons is still relevant is because of those earlier seasons and because people go back and watch those episodes and relive those heartfelt or iconic moments in the old episodes, it gives us nostalgia and makes us remember when the show was one of the most popular things on television. The same can be said here. Spongebob, in his golden days, was one of the best if not THE best shows on nickelodeon because of how relatable and funny it was. However, now the show is geared more towards kids while back then, the adult humor mixed with the children's humor was something that made EVERYBODY enjoy the show. But, that's the funny thing about this album and what, in my opinion, makes it a one of a kind feature. The fact that this album can be interpreted as so many different things. Not everybody is going to have the same ideas or stories when they hear these songs and it just makes the entire background and overall vibe of this music even more...well...memorable for me anyways. I truly stand by the fact that this has gotta be one of the best "parodies" of a popular album about dementia that I've ever seen and I hope that it stays this way. I hope it stays this way because of just how much it means to me and probably to so many other people not only because spongebob was pretty much a childhood icon to many, but because of the fact that this song pretty much captures the downward spiral of spongebob during the years and how people reacted to it as the years went on.

This sounds like music that would play in an alternate, post apocalyptic reality of the show. Like where just SpongeBob is alive, and (this is gonna sound real weird) he’s imagining that his friends are still there, when in fact they’re not. He walks to work every day despite no one being there, makes Krabby Patties for an empty restaurant, and wishes Gary goodnight, though he passed away. He pretends to to go jellyfishing with Patrick just as he did all those years ago, and knocks on Squidward’s door, but no one ever answers. In a way, he’s gone mental, but instead of facing his fractured brain, he lives in this broken part of his mind.
I laughed my ass of when I saw this in my recomended, then clicked and started to listen to it.
This hits... Incredibly hard. The songs, the titles. This can for surely be just a parody made for laughs but the content is still very powerful. Very well done.
I really can't tell what makes this so sad to me, I've listened to this numerous times, and I just can't tell. Maybe it's my love for Spongebob, or that'd I can't imagine it going down like this, but it shakes me to my core.

I can tell you that sponge Bob was my favorite show as a kid and I would non-stop watch it. It made me laugh and made me happy. As I watch my childhood slowly fade behind me going into the upper grades of high school, listening to this brings me back but also gives me feelings of sadness, happiness, nostalgia, and just generally bittersweet memories of staying up on a Saturday night without my parents knowing just to watch it. While sure my childhood may not been traumatic like some, it probably wasn’t the best. But it was my childhood, and spongebob was my favorite show. I hope I never see the day sponge Bob dies out but if it does, I’ll always watch the reruns or just get some kinda streaming service and relive those childhood memories. This playlist just reminds me of those days of watching SpongeBob and his friends do silly or funny things all day and I hope if I do get dementia I don’t forget Bikini Bottom. Anyways that’s enough for my comment rant about how much I liked SpongeBob, this probably won’t be seen anyways. Regardless of how life lands me, if I end up old and withered if I can feel the tunes of SpongeBob through my ears even once more no matter how distorted by the years of wear and tear. Atleast I get that one last hit of nostalgia, of times past.

This album made me cry. It makes me think back when times were simpler and I had nothing to worry about, and it also made me think about aging and how sad its gonna be when I have nothing to look forward to anymore.

Well, this isn't as long, but this is still about to be one heck of a ride for me. I listened to the whole everywhere at the end of time album without breaks, and I love spongebob. Thanks for making this, but this is about to break me isn't it?
Just listened to all of it with only about 2 interruptions. It was great, had a lot of impact on my heart. Kinda unnerving, but I'm glad I listened to all of it. Thanks for the ride.
Here’s how I see each song when I listen to this, and yes I’m aware that this is a copy or parody of everywhere at the end of time, but this is just for fun!
Keep in mind I focus on all characters and the show’s environment over all.
1: I Can Still Remember Jellyfish Fields
This is at the time SpongeBob is about middle aged, he still works at the krusty krab, still doesn’t have his license. Work is slow, it’s not as popular as it used to be.
SpongeBob becomes less active, dreaming of jellying fishing with his old friend Patrick one last time.
Patrick at this time is gone and moved, and Squidward has retired, growing health issue from aging over time.
Squidward becomes a hermit, staying in his home and playing his clarinet, rarely leaving.
SpongeBob had become less childish and tired, leaving Squidward alone.
Sandy often visits SpongeBob, who worries, but SpongeBob says he’s fine
2: Kelp Forest Deforestation
Kelp Forest and Jelly fish fields are demolished for highways and new bigger buildings.
SpongeBob can no longer have his last jelly fishing trip with Patrick, the jelly wish slowly go extinct.
After a while of isolation from being with his friends or work due to mr.krabs slowly starting to get weaker from age, as the rest of the world they knew before seemed to be doing around them
3: Missing The Soft Buzz Of The Jellyfish
SpongeBob losing the ability to cope with change and losing his loved ones and the life he knew when he was younger.
Slowly losing memories, forgetting to feed Gary, forgetting to go to work, but mr.krabs never left bed anymore anyways.
SpongeBob sits in front of the tv reading through old scrap books in hopes to regain his memory from the beginning of his old friendships (season 1 , example: meeting sandy)
4: Gary Has Passed, But His Memories Linger
Gay dies from starvation and failing organs from old age.
SpongeBob feels guilt, and this new trauma and loss of his best friend causes him to slowly lose his mind.
He still puts food in Gary’s bowl despite him being dead for years.
He even puts up missing posters years after, forgetting his snail had even passed from his own neglect.
Mr.krabs is pronounced sick in the hospital.
SpongeBob now owns the krusty krab and hangs a frame of him and gary In his memory
5: Remember Browsing The Aisles
SpongeBob goes shopping for mr.krabs and gets hit with nostalgia talking to scooter, an old friend from loo lagoon, SpongeBob rambles about the good days, and talks of bitter sweet lost memories.
Arriving at the krusty krab, the doctors tell SpongeBob mr.krabs is getting sicker
Patrick visits and catches up with SpongeBob, confessing that he will be marrying someone far away in another ocean.
SpongeBob is crushed
6: My heart Rips Another Time:
Sandy comes to SpongeBob and says she is moving to Texas for retirement since she had succeeded in her experiments in bikini bottom. Everyone is older at this time, and SpongeBob knows he will soon be alone.
Other than bringing Squidward his Sunday papers since he did not like to leave home
7: Mind Washing Away Slowly Like Sand:
SpongeBob drives past the abandoned glove world, remembering slight moments of memories with Patrick. He struggled to remember his name, but shook it off
SpongeBob tries to remain hopeful despite everything and opens the krusty krab again, only for no one to ever come.
There were much more fancy and better places for fish to eat. No one cared about the old taste of a krabby patty anymore
8: The Feelings That Fade Eventually:
SpongeBobs last visit to mr.krabs
He asks krabs for advice, and explains he is scared and not ready to forget his loved ones, nor to die.
Mr krabs explains it is natural to die, and everything changes, and then ends.
He explained that nothing last forever
He passes that afternoon
SpongeBob receives a call from Patrick and gives the news, to which Patrick says he has been divorced, and moving back to bikini bottom
9: my past friend who has given up on me
Patrick and SpongeBob go to the bar and drink together, venting about current events, and also reminiscing on better times.
Throughout their hang out though, SpongeBob drifts off in a confused ramble, like he had forgotten his own life.
Patrick knew what was coming, and decided after they left, to never speak to his best friend again due to how heart breaking it was
He leaves SpongeBob at the bar and moves in a separate neighborhood
The guilt will later eat Patrick alive
10: sometimes, things still fun
SpongeBob hands the formula over to plankton, but shortly passes after
No one wants the formula so SpongeBob passes it to a company, SpongeBob retires with a lot of money
Squidward slowly starts allowing SpongeBob over for brunch
11: time wasted in that curse trap
Squidward regrets his time at the krusty krab, worried he wasted his life away when he could have been famous and known.
His depression worsens. SpongeBob notices
12: That dance with her was so long ago
SpongeBob is visited by pearl and laughs about the time they were at prom
They talk about how much they miss krabs , after she leaves SpongeBob is struck with a feeling of sadness , but a bitter sweet feeling, happy that it all happened but not ready to let it go.
13: memories keep repeating
SpongeBob is struggling to remember everyone who left, Squidward is the only one who he can remember full memories will because they speak everyday, but sometimes he forgets
He sits and watches tv , no longer filling Gary’s food bowl everyday in his memory
Forgetting he ever had a snail
He tries hard to remember out of confusion, sometimes remembering and thinking back on them over and over again wishing it was still true or wondering if he was just dreaming it all
14: art by my neighbor
Squidward and SpongeBob are close, Squidward cooks nice meals and plays music
SpongeBob remembers a lot more when they talk
15: the sunlight no longer reaches the ocean floor:
The world becomes completely different and Patrick, SpongeBob and Squidward are depressed over the state they are in
16: dancing is sadly an activity of the past/ sea kelp entanglements
krusty krab, chum bucket, boating school
Is all demolished
17: SpongeBob finds out mr krabs was an alcoholic
18: memories of her keep escaping me:
SpongeBob forgets his own mothers face

SpongeBob forgets who he is
20: the knowledge of the secret is no longer important
The secret formula is forgotten and never used again
21: echoing remains of memories that I am unsure are real
SpongeBob goes on a visit with Squidward throughout town, the familiar but forgotten environment scares him and he begs to see his friends
But they are gone , making him believe bikini bottom isn’t bikini bottom
22: I am proof Neptune has no mercy
Patrick ends his life,
Squidward shuts himself away the sicker he gets
SpongeBob just lies, an empty shell, completely lost and unable to fight the wave of empty memories
23: momentary panic before losing lucidity
SpongeBob starts having panic attacks when struggling to remember
Example: getting frustrated when seeing Gary’s old bowl, because he thinks he never had a snail
Unable to cope with the fact Patrick is dead after seeing his scrap books, though feeling like Patrick is a stranger, seeing himself with his old friend in photos and knowing he’s gone made him sob in the dark
24: eyes staring back at me from rock bottom. They are calling
SpongeBob prays for death to take him has he can’t function or remember
He lies in the hospital bed alone not sure if he was dreaming when he was a faint outline of the Flying Dutchman in the corner
25: the journey to shell city is soon to end:
SpongeBob loses all memories of anyone and himself, he forgets the doctors daily
Soon he passes, and bikini bottom becomes an empty quiet ghost town, that was once a beloved and known place.
I like thinking about this because human minds are brutally unforgiving, and the fact we will all die one day, and everything we know around us will demolish, is terrifying, but we can never change it, it is how life is.
I find it fascinating.
I can hear Spongebob being on life support while repeatedly saying "I'm ready." in a robotic tone as his language is reduced to a single catchphrase that'll soon fade away along with the rest of him.

"I Can Still Remember Jellyfish Fields" is my favorite track on this project. It so perfectly juxtaposes the original "Hello Blues" sample. The original is chill but simultaneously optimistic and fun, giving off an "up for anything but in a carefree way" vibe. In a way perfectly encapsulates the carefree innocence of childhood. This version feels so distant and melancholic, longing for those carefree innocent times but knowing they're long behind you and you'll never truly get them back. I may not necessarily associate it with old age and dementia, but the older I get the more distant I realize my childhood becomes, and those memories grow more precious to me day by day.
That's why the first 2 songs are my favorite, they are so nostalgic.
This feels a lot like listening to spongebob vaporwave too
I believe there was a lot more thought put into this than people realize.
I'm guessing that the terminal lucidity segment is the music that played while SpongeBob and Patrick were drying up under the heat lamp in the movie?
But I can't figure out what the sound alongside it is? It sounds like someone trying to insert a VHS tape into a VCR but stumbling and ultimately failing to get it in.

Pollution has completely covered the surface of the water, leaving the town without sunlight. The skies are brown from all the sewage water. Many have died from the toxic conditions, Gary unfortunately included.
Sandy's left to head back to Texas, with no intent of returning. Krabs has gotten old, the Krusty Krab is under new management, leaving spongebob depressed. The new manager fired squidward, leaving him begging on the streets. Patrick doesn't know what to do for spongebob.
The garbage is sinking down, the kelp is dying. Dead jellyfish are washing up on the shore. The fish that remain truly are Everywhere at *the end* of Bikini Bottom

It's over. We're in a place much worse than Rock Bottom.
Rock Bottom wasn't the true deepest area, It was in the abyssopaleigic. We're in the hadalpalegic now, We do not truely know anything about this specific area of the hadropaleigic, So little we haven't even named it yet. All we know is that it exist and that true horrors are lurking down here.
The feeling of something familiar to all slowly distorting it's self to time, long gone from what it once was.
The title “Art by my Neighbor” is just raw. The entire show SpongeBob struggles to gain acceptance of Squid ward, to support him, its one of his driving factors. Now all he can think of him as is a neighbor. Insignificant. Can’t remember the significance if there is any. Turns out he makes art.
It makes sense now

I love "sometimes, things still feel F.U.N.". it is both so recognizable but still scary and unknown, with a song that sound so many octaves down that the only thing you can recognize are the high notes of the ukulele, while the rest sounds like a low, bitter rumble.

this line stuck out to me, because it seems spongebob, or what this album seems to convey as spongebob, has denounced his love for neptune, and deems him responsible for giving him dimentia, or possibly everything wrong that has happened to him thus far.
