    Awesome young fella .. I just bought a Uni Filter, so need to oil it before putting on my Suzuki Goose. Some great advice here, and also a comment from another about a zip lock bag, that's how I oil the lawnmower air filter, but that is a lot smaller than the Uni Filter.

    Hey brother, do I need to do this with all UNI air filters? I have a diferent model (NU-4074ST) for a xr250... still need to oil the filter? Cheers.

      The oil traps dirt and stuff to keep it from going through your filter

    You don't need that much oil.
    Unifilters are great filters. Pity they don't make one for our Toyota Yaris:
    Paper filters let through too much dirt i.e. ~50% of the particles in your oil are probably dirt that got in via the air filter.

    the oil i use is the twin air oil, it’s very thin and doesn’t even look like oil is this normal

    I think you're missing a spot on that filter
