Jermaine I am from Namibia and I am sorry what happened to you. Some city people are just not nice. Town people much more relax and friendly. You know it is the city and life is fast there. But I actually do not want to make excuses for MTC. That was and yes they were very rude. Think it has to do with the fact that, besides telecom that is land line based, they do not have another business like theirs to compete with. But in Otjiwarongo they are very nice. Never had a problem and they are very friendly. Hope Namibia is still your favoured. Hope you will visit us again.

It's just ignorance, I doubt they had malicious intent in thinking his accent or mannerisms were exaggerated/fake. They even play our songs most of the time, and their TV channels are so boring, so they watch our S.A multichoice channels. 😂😂😂😂😂
And Windhoek is the only place you can call it a town in Namibia the rest are dusty villages e.g Ongwediva, Ondangwa, Oshakati, Otjuwarongo, etc but they call those towns. 😂😂😂

But you also need to understand that they get paid next to nothing so of course they are not going to care, but it doesn’t make it ok to act the way they do. It’s a beautiful country with beautiful people but the service is terrible. I’m also American and my accent isn’t the issue but they are very big on greetings. Took me a while to not just ask the question but you need to say hi and ask how they are especially when you are asking for something. I definitely look like I’m not from there because I’m Cuban and Ecuadorian but they usually just stare. Also make sure you visit the Sand dunes in both Walvis Bay & sossusvlei! hi Jermaine. sorry for being super late (with this being posted in April and all) First of all, as a Namibian, I enjoy your videos. and second. let me help you clarify that data and cellphone situation . So hear in Namibia, its like this, basically people arent mind readers and expect you to ask to something straight because trying to figure out what you mean doesnt always happen. we do not have an unlimited data plan here, but what you spoke off, unlimited from midnight to 6pm is called super aweh. so if you want that, you would just say "i want to register for super aweh" and you get unlimited data from midnight to 6am, 3 GB, 700 free calling minutes 1500 text messages and 700MB for whatsapp and FB all valid for 7 days only which is N$65. I am nott going to lie, sometimes poeople here can be unhelpful and the queues here needs you to have MAD patience (MY GOODNESS) but miscommunication is also a contributing factor.. Just to ease yout mind. it has nothing to do with you being foreign. WE NAMIBIANS GET TREATED THE SAME AND HONESTLY, I ALMOST CRIED FROM HOW THESE PEOPLE SPEAK TO ME SOMETIMES LOL./

      Nope.
Just born and lived in Africa my whole life.
Also listen to what other Africans say and complain about.
      There is a pattern.
Also, good service does not vary from country to country.
It’s more like from business to business.
      Very micro.

@@azanianbantu I was born in Britain of South African parents. I apologise for bursting your bubble, but the service I get in Johannesburg - a very big city - across the board is second to none in terms of excellence. I've had similar beautiful experiences in Livingstone, Victoria Falls, Gaborone, Maseru, Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Jeffreys Bay, Durban, Ballito, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, etc. What you suffer from is a profound sense of racial (assuming you are of African Ancestry) self hatred. I also get a sense that you are not such a well travelled individual, which explains your insular outlook. Africa is a complex and undiminished Continent that is populated by intelligent individuals. It's fools like who reverse our progress as a people.

I had the same experience in Namibia now iam from south Africa and every time I got Namibia I buy a SIM card now pretty much buying a sim card is why different than in South Africa well the whole code thing is stupid AF and there data prices are totally expensive and I asked a lady at a MTC shop for a pin to put my new sim card in she just said it's not my problem do it you're self... Anyway it's a great country and iam glad that I have family from there and I can experience a beautiful nation like Namibia but alot of people that live there needs to chill

On the other hand, no Namibia is not a continent. Therefore, you having said that you do not know how fast the internet is on this continent, came out totally wrong and in a way disrespectful. Please keep your reference specifically in the country you found yourself in. But just to give you an idea, with TN mobile, depending on where one is, one can easily reach a download and and upload speed of around 75mb/s but mostly it is between 5-12mb/s, which is all still enough for most daily work. TN Mobile also have two bundles that offer free internet from 12 midnight, until 6 a.m., absolutely free unlimited 4G coverage. The two bundles cost N$50 ($3.34) and N$60 (4.00). for the 50, one can get 2gb free data and for the 60, one can get 5gb free data and of cause they come with other services. both bundles have a 7 day life-time. But any way, sorry you had to experience the bad service of MTC. Even us Namibians are feed up with it.
