I want you to know everything since I seen you do the “sew in” this way, I do almost all my journals this way because it gives options! You are genius!
I, too have just come across your work and I am infatuated. I also love that you mention Pam from Paper Outpost I started my JJ journey with her and now I can't stop. I love your work. Ty
I have made my own book, after “ I found your TH-cam ” 😜 👏 And I must say, the book is gorgeous 😍🤩 Thank you so much, for making these youtube videos ❤
Thank you! I am working on a library themed envelope journal so I had to write a sticky note of that accordion pocket so I won't forget! I need to do an idea journal too because my memory is terrible!
DJ, Walmart sells the photo plastic box for usually 14.99 it's just as sturdy as the ones from Michaels. Thats here in central illinois. New York is usually pricier. Hopefully not by too much! 😮😅🎉
You probably already know, but Michael’s puts those photo holders on sale frequently. I am now up to five of them! Plus you can get a warranty on one of them and if any of the boxes break you can get it replaced at no extra charge!
Eyelets are smaller and used more for harder substances like card stock etc and grommets are bigger and used mainly for fabric like flags, leather etc 🙂
lol making tabs are addictive. I have one of those photo holders too. They are great for storing stuff. I learned early to label mine as they are colored and you can’t see what’s in them without pulling them out. Great tip on making tabs with envelope maker. I just got one. Brilliant share. Thanks.
I have just discovered your channel and thrilled to find your BIG BOOK series. Just what I need as a new junk journaller. Thanks so much for sharing ❤❤
This is absolutely adorable, new subbie, watched the first one & am hooked 🥰 definitely have to make a few of these 🫶 thanks for sharing 👍 & the little things are called “eyelets” ☺️❤️🤗
@@hitherandyonstudio 😂😂 You’re not the only one to forget the names of things, most of us nutters out here in crafting internetland do it too, I’m always forgetting what things are called 🤦♀️ eyelets, brads & split pin’s are sometimes called different things, too, so can be quite confusing 😵💫❤️🤗
Only to the first decorated page so far…but for an idea book it would’ve been cool if you had done three different file folder looks for future idea reference!
Hi, first time here, just subscribed. I’m considering making ideas book of my own, but probably won’t be until after I finish the hundred day project. I’m about at the halfway point over at the eclectic cottage. Have a creative week ahead my friend.
@hitherandyonstudio in your big book you had 3 signatures. I'm trying to figure out how many pages are in each. A folio is one folded paper, or 4 pages.
I am always mixing them up. Eyelets have holes thru them...brads do not. I just always go blank on video. =) I use Neenah Cardstock (amazon) and regular copy paper. It just depends what I am doing.
Tipping in for a book restoration is where you put a very thin bead of glue on the edge of the paper and insert it between 2 other pages. Glued by that very thin line of glue. I've not heard these inserts called tipping in. Learn something new every day!
Welcome to the channel. As I say in the video I am no expert on such things...just what I researched and we know how the internet can be so this is my take. =) I hope you enjoyed the video.
@hitherandyonstudio I did enjoy it. I am a hobby book restorer. Not for a living but I've been trained in it. I just hadn't realized that's what it's called for junk journaling. I thought you might like to know where the term came from.
Just came across you on utube, and watching from Lancashire, UK. Love your videos. Also loving the elastic idea, makes a change from sewing in. Thank you for your tutorials 😊 x
This is amazing and I really love how you explain the whats and how to's. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching. 😊

YAY! I'm glad you liked it. I use reminders in my phone. If I lost that I'd be so lost!

Oooo Thanks for the info! I’ll have to check. I appreciate the tip.
I love all your papers! The photo storage box I just recently got one @ Hobby Lobby for about $14!
Awesome. I grab them when they are on sale only.
I am soooo on board with your Big Book of Journal Ideas. So exciting.
That's awesome. It is such a great way to keep track of things.
When threading elastic, start from the inside so you come back inside and can then cut to size
Awesome tip!! Thank you so much. 😊

Yes. I keep waiting for the sales. 😀 I have three now and they are fabulous!!
Eyelets are smaller and used more for harder substances like card stock etc and grommets are bigger and used mainly for fabric like flags, leather etc 🙂
Got it. Thank you for the clarity and thanks for watching!!
Omg i have had a envelope punch for forever and didn't know I can make a tab on it!! Thank you! ❤️

The photo keepers cases are $12 at Michael's right now! I just bought a new one today.
…running to Michael’s!! Thank you!!!
@@hitherandyonstudio you're welcome. Just subbed to your channel. Loving the idea journal so far. I need to add file pockets to mine now!
Love this idea! Will be making one. I also love the label stamp you used,do you have the name of the stamp?
It is on Temu but they say they were discontinued. =(
Question about the eyelets. I can't get regular eyelets to work on cardboard. Are you using an eyelet with a longer shank? Thanks!
Hi there. No I believe they are just normal ones. They all seem to be the same depth.
Recently subscribed and starting to binge watch your big book of ideas journal. How many folios did you put in each signature?
Hi Carol. Thank you for subbing. I try to keep just one folio because of bulk but it depends on the journal.
@hitherandyonstudio in your big book you had 3 signatures. I'm trying to figure out how many pages are in each. A folio is one folded paper, or 4 pages.

Welcome!! So nice to have you here.
Hi this is beautiful, can you tell us what glue you use please.
Hello! Are the papers you are using for signatures copy paper thick or card stock or in between? lol thx 🖤
The papers I use are a combination of copy weight and card stock. And I just mix and match them.
New subscriber.
Welcome! So happy you're here.
Eyelets or grommets
your shop prices do i need to convert it into australia money
Brads as in eyelets??!😊 Do you use copy paper (80 grams) for your digitals?
I am always mixing them up. Eyelets have holes thru them...brads do not. I just always go blank on video. =)

What is the measurements of covers n spine
I show it all in the very first video. The one before this one.
Islam, purchased the same coffee dyed paper, but they are Xerox copies, which id did not expert.
Just came across you on utube, and watching from Lancashire, UK. Love your videos. Also loving the elastic idea, makes a change from sewing in.
Thank you for your tutorials 😊 x
You’re welcome. So glad you enjoyed it!!
I’m going to copy your idea because I’ve been putting my ideas in a small notebook and I hate it.
The book is a good way to keep track so i hope you like it better. Thanks for watching!
Hi this is beautiful, can you tell us what glue you use please.
Hi! Thanks for dropping by and your kind comment. I use a custom mix of Art Glitter Glue, PVA Glue and water to make it flow better.
