Bondrewd hadn't returned from the Sixth Layer alive, he presumably died when he ascended the elevator. That's one of the secrets of the Umbra Hands. He's very much human, until the events of the movie when Reg pulls him up the pit and he finally gets the Blessing he was searching for all this time. The only one that's returned from the very bottom of the Abyss is Reg.
Bondrewd can return from the 6th layer alive; that's what the cartridges were for in the first place. They're not just for the blessing. If they didn't work, he wouldn't have taken them down there with him. Bondrewd can't swap bodies across layers due to the interference from the force field. The Umbra Hands that accompanied him most likely died, though.
@@MajiUltimataMustve been alot of cartridges considering he burned through 4 just from coming back up from the garden. I only say this cause either nanachi or reg (cant remember) commented that the elevator was descending for a very long time. Long enough for plenty of banter and riko, uh, relieving herself. I find it hard to believe he was able to return safely.
@@sham5614 He kidnapped A LOT of kids. Now, what we can debate is whether or not Bondrewd is human in the first place or not after he utilized the corpse-swapping plant-artifact. It's speculated that he lost his humanity there, and what's left are his desires and ambitions, thus his complete lack of empathy and even understanding of empathy (or he's just a psychopath).
Love the comparison of the Abyss with Demon Souls' great old one. Good overview of all the layers and major creatures. Nice editing work as well. Can't wait to see more.
Wait how did Alyssa message get to the top past the 5th layer also wasn’t it stated that the predatory birds from episode 2 potentially nested in the sixth or seventh layer.
1. Lyza's letter was delivered by Reg. 2. Yes, the bird name is Sakawatari, we don't know much about it, but yes, they have nests on the 7th layer. You can search info for this bird on made in abyss wiki.
TBH I am pretty sure Nanachi's hut used to be a person of some description, like Irimuyuii. Can't accept that it is a coincidence that it looks like a face. Nanachi doesn't seem like that much of a carpenter.
Maybe add that this is only what riko saw. (It is said that most creatures are not evne named, because there are so many. Also there are more artefact. And they were only used like that bye the main crew.
Well I don't think I made this very clear in the video but the idea was to take you(the viewer) in a trip into the abyss and present everything we can see, like a guide or something. So this was only what we saw.
The only reason Bondrewd is able to return from the 6th layer is bc of the Zoaholic, we see him use it after the gang tries killing him by pushing him past the 6th layer in water in the movie
Possible, I don't remember where I heard that the Zoaholic dosen't work very well between layers so I am not very sure if he did this using zoaholic so I left it for interpretation just like in the show.

Isn’t the human Bondrewd the one he used to make his whistle?

That only worked because he didn't have cartridges on him. Nanachi states that plan wouldn't have worked if he did have them.

Nice deep dive...no pun intended
great video!
I hope you keep up your videos
How about avoid the pit at all, just be a merchant trade in special relics DO NOT GO INTO THE ABYSS
Всё понятно
0:48 what is this from?
Demon souls
I am gonna guess there are same amount of layers as there are circles of hell.
