I love the XT5! I drove a cherry red one with the Sahara beige interior for the Cadillac dealership I worked for, as a chauffeur. Had the 3.6 engine and I was mesmerized! So comfy, so convenient! For a “grandma” car, it’s very well equipped and I personally think it handles like a sport SUV. I feel very grounded, and safe in it! I believe it had about 70,000 miles on it, but with how reliable the engine was, you would think it came straight off the line. Very nice vehicle indeed.
Cadillac makes some really cool vehicles. In 2020 my wife and I bought our very first Cadillac. It’s a 2011 SRX with the 2.8L turbo. We absolutely love that SUV. It was a few years old when we bought it but it only had 21,611 original miles on it. We love the 5.1 surround sound system and the video screens that pop up from the driver and front passenger seats. It keeps our grandkids occupied during semi-long trips. Unfortunately, it has been a maintenance hog! Everything that could go wrong HAS gone wrong with that vehicle. We bought a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty for the first 2 years of ownership and boy did that extra protection pay off in a big way. Then when the warranty expired we were stuck with paying for the repairs out of pocket and several thousands were spent trying to maintain our pride and joy. This past December the timing chain had to be replaced and that was $4,500. Cadillac’s are notoriously expensive to fix. If you’re going to buy a used one that doesn’t have a manufacturer’s warranty left purchase a dealer warranty. Yes it will add to your monthly payment but it’s worth it in the long run.
I got the XT5 when it first came out (2017 version). This is the fourth Cadillac I've owned and (IMO) it is the best. This car has never been in the shop for anything but routine maintenance. One thing you failed to comment on is the front seat roominess. I am 6'2" and weight 315 pounds. This is the easiest car for me to get in and out of, hands down.. The others you mentioned (I have not tried the Genesis) are just too tight for a normal sized individual like myself. I highly recommend the XT5.
It is a lot easier to get in an out of than my 2010 STS, This XT5 is my 6th Caddy. Surprisingly good Gas Mileage, and with the Premium Sound System, it can do a pretty good job on Heavy Metal, when I need some Soothing Music. My Favorite for Comfort though, was my first, an 86 FWB with the D'Elegence Option, but even it didn't hold a Candle to my ex's 1979 Sedan DeVille D'Elegence's Interior.
Well of course it’s never been in the shop because you seem to trade it in on a regular basis. And as for you mentioned dimensions…..you’re most definitely not “normal sized”.

Having only spent a mere day (highway and mostly gravel 150 kms?) with one a couple of years back... I was very very impressed. The weight of this Cadillac, I found, was one of its biggest assets. I’m not even certain I’ve seen the Genesis yet. But against the Audi or the Acura? Absolutely... for the right price. Thanks for the video. Great outfit... Andrea (obviously).

I've driven the 4 cyl as a loaner when it was in for service and it's fine around town, good torque, but on the highway nothing beats the V6 for cruising and passing. Just less effort. I will say that the interior was cool in 2017 when it was launched, but it is showing it's age inside a bit. @@Mr.Worf63 the 2.0T LTG made 295 lb-ft of torque and could over 30 and close to 40 mpg in just about everything it was put. Only needs sparkplug and oil changes until about 300,000 miles when the turbo needs rebuilding that is only $50.00 for a rebuild kit. The ECU's are easy to tune to over 380 lb-ft of torque where the V6 starts from the factory at 270 or so trq.
The New 2022 BMW X1 has a new interior including a single screen from the gauges and it curves around to the infotainment system. You know that the new XT5 is going to be much nicer both inside and out. I like Andrea's outfit today! Nice to see you guys again.
I own a 2017. Good car but the screen is tilted forward so the overhead sun can wash it out. On the positive side, I had some repair issues and Cadillac customer service was first class, covering something out of warranty and getting me a 30% discount on the other repairs. Totally unexpected and they were first rate.
Honestly you guys are extremely lucky in Canada and the US. I get so jealous every single time. I just bought the new Qashqai (the European new version) for equivalent to $58k here in the UK. Just enjoy the amazing prices there guys. I hope you get the new Qashqai in Canada soon as well. BTW I absolutely love love love your reviews ❤
I bought a 2011 SRX Performance Edition in 2020. It only had 18,233 miles on it. I bought it because it was in excellent shape. When I purchased it I bought a Cadillac extended warranty for 2 years. Let’s just say everything that could go wrong went wrong with it. The warranty paid for a lot of it but I’ve also paid thousands of my own money every 6 months just to keep the damn thing running like it should. Every 6 months something goes wrong
Cadillac XT5 is a MIDsize Crossover. It is on GM's C1XX (Chi) platform shared with Cadillac XT6, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and Chevrolet Blazer
The free scheduled maintenance for 4 years must be a Canadian thing. I bought a 2021 xt5 just 2 months(USA) ago and all I get is one oil change and tire rotation at 7500 miles. Btw.....I have the 2 L turbo 4 cylinder and it's got plenty of power with good gas mileage. Got 37 mpg driving 60-65 mph driving recently. Routinely get 31 on the interstate. I'm very happy with it.
My 2018 CT6 had free maintenence for 4-years and it just ended. Also live in the states. My CT6 is is a plug-in EV with +40 miles of battery range with a 2.0T engine once battery is used. It also does about 37 mpg at the speed limit.
Hmmm interesting, in the U.S. this is a mid sized luxury crossover and not a compact. This seems to go more head to head with cars like RX, Q5, Nautilus, X3, etc. in price as well. That V6 is amazing.
singin the Boss to start the review...thumbs up...agree..am old school and would far sooner have the v6 than the turbo 4...but something about it just does not ring my bell..thats why they make so many alternatives...and interior would seem to be wanting for some brightwork for sure...have a good one folks
Hey! I don’t know if it’s noticeable but there are some mechanical differences between the XT5 premium luxury and XT5 sport. Primarily, the sport has its own AWD system, which Cadillac calls “Sport Control All-Wheel Drive.” It is only available on the Sport variants of the XT5 and XT6. On the premium luxury the adaptive dampers are only available with the platinum package, where the adaptive dampers are standard on the sport. The 2022 XT5 and XT6 have standard Brembo brakes on the Sport trims, but are not available on the premium luxury. PS. I can’t remember where I read it, but every Cadillac except the Escalade will be given refreshes for 2023. In addition, after the Escalade was unveiled, someone from Cadillac was quoted by GM Authority as saying that the bigger screens will be coming on most Cadillacs. Perhaps that will be part of the 2023 updates. ‘ My guess is that Cadillac didn’t want to steal the Lyriq’s thunder by making those updates available before the launch of the Lyriq. So, it makes sense that the upcoming refreshes may be significant to match that design language across the line-up. PSS. In China, the XT4, XT5, and XT6 have gotten an e-assist version of the 2.0T that produces 250hp and 295lb-ft of torque. It gets better MPG, and runs quieter and smoother. Perhaps that will make it to the SUVs on this side of the Pacific Ocean. I do hope that Cadillac can modify its 3.0TT from the CT5 and put it and the 10-speed transmission in transverse duty on the XT5 and XT6. From my understanding, the platform for those SUVs is a kissing cousin to the Epsilon platform that undergirded the XTS sedan, which had a 410hp 3.6TT in Vsport guise, so the platform should be able to handle the 3.0TT’s power.
I think it’s a beautiful vehicle - still. Cadillac styling is unique and tasteful (the clear lenses are sharp 👍🏻) - looking forward to the next gen - could be for me ..
I was surprised that you didn’t include the Lexus RX350 in the car comparisons! The Cadillac SRX and then the XT5 have always been direct competitors to the RX
Good review, the XT5 ? Not on my list of cars to buy but the V6 is nice, Turbo 4 is rough and loud, turbo is mounted on the rear of the 4 cylinder against the firewall so it’s sound comes into the cabin.
XT5 has sold surprisingly good in Canada, unlike in the States. I think GMC/Cadillac/Chevrolet dealer network and its pricing for only V6 are reasons why it does so well. However, it feels aged compare to many of its European and Asian rivals.
Their lease deals (in my area) were really aggressive over the couple of years. You can get a 24 month lease, really little down and the payments are the same as a fully loaded midsize sedan on a 48 month term.
I like your reviews but I wish you'd mention more about safety features: Blind Spot, Rear Cross Traffic, Lane Keeping, Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise, Surround View, etc. So many manufacturers offer these features piecemeal; where you only get one or two in each level and you have to buy the top level trim to get them all. Someone needs to include them all as standard. My next car will be determined by which one gives me all the safety features at the best price.
I like the XT4 sport here in the USA, but the msrp was $57k. I didn’t even bother to try to get a deal. I bought a 2021 SQ5 premium plus for $56k instead.
I nearly bought a fully loaded Q5 Prestige Titanium for $42k last year. Discounts were crazy! No way you could get a similar Cadillac for that. People forget Germans will discount a lot.
I just bought the lexus nx 300 if I had my time back I would've taken this one for a test drive. before deciding on the Lexus. The only reason I regret it, is the comfort seems to be a notch higher, with the Cadillac and my back needs that comfort. due to a fusion of my back years ago.
How much longer will gas engines sell in cars? 10 years? A 6 isn't really necessary for most cars anymore. I agree that it is nice to have. I agree about the screens. Cadillac has solved the screen integration issue better than a lot of manufacturers (where it looks added or stuck on and doesn't flow with the rest of the dash). Cadillac really transformed from floating boats to proper road cars (that have very good ride quality). So, kudos to them.
Hey you guys live in the richie rich area near UBC eh lol? Been watching your videos for 6 months now and I knew the area looked familiar. I was there a few weeks ago visiting a friend and I told my wife to keep an eye out for Zack and Andrea as we were cycling around that region. With all of your praise for Cadillac lately maybe there will be a Caddy in YOUR driveway soon.
Beautiful! I would love to see you guys review the new 2022 GMC Terrain, specifically the AT4 trim whenever you can. There's almost nothing on YT yet for this trim.
The gauge cluster has a 4.2" digital screen & then you can upgrade it to an 8" display with a package on the Sport trim. Or it might be exclusively reserved for another trim with another package
Just stumbled on your channel while doing research, I like the content. Trying to decide between this and the genesis gv70. Any recommendation between the two?
Genesis… I don’t know of a world in which the Cadillac wins… unless the price difference is greater than 10 percent, the Cadillac doesn’t really have a case.
I guess it all depends on what your budget is. I feel there is better value with the Cadillac V6 compared to the Genesis GV70 3.5T with a starting price of $68,500 CAD. The XT5 is $52,548 CAD for the Premium Luxury trim or you can get the Sport trim for $56,398 CAD. However, the GV70 2.5T with a starting price under $50,000 is great with plenty of horsepower and torque compared to the Turbo 4 on this Cadillac. The interior of the GV70 is beautiful but for some buyers who prefer a V6 instead of a Turbo 4, they will be able to buy the XT5 for less.
@@andreaspencer9813 Thanks for the reply! I think the 2.5T is right in my price range. I don't mind the turbo 4 vs the v6. That interior is indeed beautiful and is the main draw for me between the two.
@@Killermonkey007 I really like 2.5T although I haven't driven it in the GV70, I drove it in the Santa Fe Calligraphy and the Sorento. It's a great engine and I would be happy with it. If I could afford it I would go two up from the base model and get the Advance Plus for $59,000 CAD only because I really like the Lexicon stereo system. But, one up from the base would be fine, as long as I get my sunroof which it has for $55,000 CAD. It's priced well.
I considered the XT5 but the Acura RDX has more cargo room. My loving wife can fill that easily when going to Florida! Could look at the next generation XT5 ...
The XT5 looks like a really nice SUV. It has everything I would want except the ventilated seats. And I guess toy can upgrade to get those in a package. I think I like it more than the RDX because it has the normally aspirated V6 that sounds awesome. Hard decision though whether to get something like the XT5 or a Highlander V6 XSE. They are close in price with similar engines and features.
Get the Caddy with the V6 & ventilated front seats are available in the XT5 Premium Luxury & Sport trims in a package so make sure you get that package
Do the rear seats have climate control or just the AC/heating vents? That’s a biggie for me. Not a huge fan if the exterior styling. It is not as nice as the German or Japanese varietals IMO. Love the fact that it has ample room though!
Every competent journalist seem to be praising Cadillac these days, I would hope this would encourage people to by American luxury again, GM has the means to compete with anything German IF they wanted to, people need to send them a message to give them what they want, not just put out great concepts and never produce them, scrap Buick in the US and put in a REAL effort to recapture part of this division former glory, most of the hardware is already there, so why not?
Couldn't agree with you more except for scrapping Buick. Buick needs to be brought up to compete with Acura and Infiniti and let Cadillac take on the best of Germany
Sorry Buick is not going anywhere in our lifetime. GM has been on a roll the last decade or so. "...Chevrolet commissioned independent research company Ipsos to conduct a survey. The details specify that reliability is defined as "the percentage of vehicle owners who reported they have not repaired or replaced any vehicle components in the past 12 months (excluding fluids, filters and those related to accident/collision)."... "...The survey sent out 840,979 letters to 2015 model-year vehicle owners, with time in service starting December 2014 through June 2015. Overall, Ipsos received 48,679 responses from Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Ram, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo owners. Full details on the survey can be found online...." Autoblog.com
Isn't it sad when "Cadillac" becomes the luxury 'value' brand? GM has to get out of this mindset. They do with the Escalade and it shows with demand and consumer awareness.
The only problem I find with Cadillac interiors is TOO MUCH BLACK. Why don't add some other colour materials with a bit of aluminum trim on the doors, dash and the centre counsel. They should look at Genesis for some tips.
Not much of a value if you pay 4k dollars less and then sell it for 15k dollars less than the competition... Genesis has the same problem. So buy one 2 yrs old and let some other sucker take the hit.
Known maintenance issues are seldom mentioned here, also I see you didn't talk about the typical ongoing issue Ford has with hard plastic everywhere "the materials are fine".. er ya. Plus lots of other wonderful mindless praise,. ya no maintenance issues here folks according to our nameless friend... Mmmm.
It’s great when it works..mine which is a 2017 which I got low mileage in January 2021..vehicle has had electrical issues since March and I just dropped it off today at the dealership…again for the same issue! Been with VW and Acura…never had this much problems…
What is nice, the power is made without a Trouble Prone Turbo just waiting to cause Trouble. I have an XT5, and it gets surprisingly good Gas Mileage for its Weight, which is around 4400 lbs, heavier than my old Full Size RWD Broughams and Fleetwood Broughams. The Unibody design will always worry me as I am Old-school when it comes to Cars, a tiny bump on the Bumper, and the Vehicle becomes a Parallelogram Update: "End of Life"???? Still being made for 2025. I would prefer, Discrete Control Knobs, Sliders, and Switches over the Touch Screen, It is too far away, and Awkward to operate while driving The 14 Speaker Sound System is Okay, I can annoy Rappers by Drowning out their Crap, with some Sabbath or Priest. The Lack of a Spare Tire is worrisome as I would likely get a Flat that the Lifetime Limited Goo wouldn't Seal. When time comes for New Tires, I will be looking for 18" Wheels and get rid of the 20s as the 18s Tires, having more Sidewall, will ride MUCH Better. Brakes are forever Squealing. Of Course the Stealership says everything is fine. A Redesign of the Shift Lever would be Nice. Moving it to the Right to put it in Manual, then pushing forward/backward to change Gears would be Better than those Stupid Things on the Steering Column I Permanently Disabled the Auto Stop and find the Driving Experience Improved Immensely. Now to completely remove the OnStar Crap As for Reliability, I have had 6 Cadillacs since 1991, they have been the Most Trouble Free Cars I have owned. I sent my first one to the Auction after 5 yrs, with 500,000 on the Odometer, and the Engine and Transmission had Never gotten anything but Oil and Fluid Changes. I saw it on the Road 2 yrs Later(had unique Dents in the Door and Trunk, so I knew it was my old car. The others were real good too. One of them is a 1995 RWD Fleetwood, it has 24,000 on the Odometer, and still looks New under the Hood and Inside the Cabin.
Wasted discussion of 6 vs 4 cylinder gas engines. In all but a few years most vehicles will be EV. The 6 cylinders are going the way of the 8 cylinder, and the 4 cylinder will go the way of the 6 cylinder. Welcome to the future, for it is here.
not only are you wrong, your politics suck too. You must have been born on Mars. Gas aspirated engines will be around for a long time to come yet. What will you drive in a big power failure lasting weeks or longer.

This is an amazing car 😍😍.
It's look nice 👌👌.
I love it ❤️.
Amazing review of the XT5! Great going Andrea and Zack! It seems to be a good contender against its competition
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it!
I own a 2017. Good car but the screen is tilted forward so the overhead sun can wash it out. On the positive side, I had some repair issues and Cadillac customer service was first class, covering something out of warranty and getting me a 30% discount on the other repairs. Totally unexpected and they were first rate.
Great video! I think the GV70 is going to be tough competition since I’m not sure the CT5 really qualifies for the Cadillac Escalade halo effect
Thanks for watching!
Wow, thanks so much.
Thank you for the kinds words, really glad you are enjoying the reviews.
Really love ur reviews. Excellent job and a lot of great info. I’m a fan (and I subscribed)
Thanks for this!
Can you do the ct5-v Blackwing ct4v Blackwing or the raptor
If we can get one here, we sure will.
Ok
I like the integration of canadadrives in the car choices. It is good to see values of used cars as well.
Thank you, we think so too.
Hey guys. Best report of the web ! Car not available in France, pity even if the dash is outdated. Salut from hot and stormy Paris (28°).
$783 vs. $652 a year for costs represents a +17% additional cost every year. That's not huge but very significant.
Very impressive review.
Thank you so much!
Great review good job 🙂
Nice review
Thanks!
Every Cadillac SRX owner watching this spit out their coffee when you commented on how wonderful Cadillac headlights are.
Great video guys ! Hey Andrea will u be uploading any videos onto your channel in the future ?
Hmmm interesting, in the U.S. this is a mid sized luxury crossover and not a compact. This seems to go more head to head with cars like RX, Q5, Nautilus, X3, etc. in price as well. That V6 is amazing.
InterestingQ5 and X3 are in the compact class.
singin the Boss to start the review...thumbs up...agree..am old school and would far sooner have the v6 than the turbo 4...but something about it just does not ring my bell..thats why they make so many alternatives...and interior would seem to be wanting for some brightwork for sure...have a good one folks
How’s the maintenance cost of a Cadillac (in general) compared to the germans audi, bmw, mercedes?
4 years maintenance is included
Mine in Alberta is 4 years or 80K.
Whichever comes first
Love the XT5!
My guess is that Cadillac didn’t want to steal the Lyriq’s thunder by making those updates available before the launch of the Lyriq.
Thanks for watching!
Not GM later model 2.0T. They have allot of torque and are turbine smooth!
I agree on everything y'all said give the interior some wow factor and give the cool seats with the heated front and back
LOVE the latest Caddy products! But not this one! When they add the newer interior, this will be sweet!
@@Jacobk66 yup. Plus I'll take a supercharged V6 over a pitiful turbo 4 any day.
FANTASTIC REVIEW !!!!!
Glad you liked it!
@@Motormouth... WOULD an NX 300 ( LEXUS ) be a competitor to this XT5 ? THANK YOU !
@@rafaelgomez1989 its a bit smaller than this, more the size of the XT4
@@Motormouth... I see, which American or Japanese model would be an option to consider as a 5 seater ? Much appreciated !
I just bought the lexus nx 300 if I had my time back I would've taken this one for a test drive. before deciding on the Lexus. The only reason I regret it, is the comfort seems to be a notch higher, with the Cadillac and my back needs that comfort. due to a fusion of my back years ago.
Maybe the heavy steering was because you had in Sport mode? Because in Tour mode, it feels same as GLC.
Just found your channel. Nice video. I love my XT 5. Will you review the new Lyriq? All electric
When it comes
If you’ve been a fan a bit longer they’ve talked about how they don’t live in that area but prefer to record the b roll in that area 🧐🙃😜
Beautiful! I would love to see you guys review the new 2022 GMC Terrain, specifically the AT4 trim whenever you can. There's almost nothing on YT yet for this trim.
Corsair or Xt5???
Andrea always makes the review so much better. Thanks for being so great.
Thank you for the kind words.
The gauge cluster has a 4.2" digital screen & then you can upgrade it to an 8" display with a package on the Sport trim. Or it might be exclusively reserved for another trim with another package
Please notice that the 8 inch center information screen is very small compared to other cross overs (Toyota Venza, Highlander)are 11".
Are Buick automobiles American?
GLC? Is that an Acronym for "Goes Like Crap"?
Yes Cadillac please never get rid of the V6 I won’t buy anything but V6,:)
Worth the buy. Worst case engine blows and then do ls swap 😊
I hope the 2026 XT5 Refresh will be a clone of the XT4 especially the rear end tailgate and vertical tail lights.
Do the rear seats have climate control or just the AC/heating vents?
That’s a biggie for me. Not a huge fan if the exterior styling. It is not as nice as the German or Japanese varietals IMO. Love the fact that it has ample room though!
I think it is a gorgeous-looking vehicle. I would love to see it or something new, but with same styling, in a PHEV.
Ahh, so basically the same V6 as found in the Colorado?
No, this is high feature V6 shared with GMC.
And the Camaro
@@Shawn_M the few years I believe the Camaro and Blazer RS also got the Cad/GMC 3.6l. Those heads are designed to support about 350 horsepower!
Good to know that GM does not make CRAPPY cars, but the damage is done and peoples perceptions sometimes trump the facts
Vancouver people 🙌🏼
It’s a fancy Chevy Equinox. Maybe that’s not a bad thing but when the others are shared with higher end cars I think it’s a hard comparison.

@@andreaspencer9813 you are an very welcome Andrea! 👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The next gen XT5 needs a 10.25" center screen or maybe marginally bigger than that in order to fit in this car
Nice 👍
Cadillac should put the 3.0-liter twin-turbo with 405hp in this car.
3.6 hands down. The 2.0L turbo on premium fuel is to costly
The XT5 is a combination of a compact SUV & a midsize SUV
Not much of a value if you pay 4k dollars less and then sell it for 15k dollars less than the competition... Genesis has the same problem. So buy one 2 yrs old and let some other sucker take the hit.
AGREE > I'm in the market for definitely a 2 + yr USED ONE !
Mmmm.
I did mention his name, it's Paul.
BTW this is a Cadillac not a Ford!
Good review. But the car still looks like a rental car. Cant get past that
I'll still take the GV70!
It’s great when it works..mine which is a 2017 which I got low mileage in January 2021..vehicle has had electrical issues since March and I just dropped it off today at the dealership…again for the same issue! Been with VW and Acura…never had this much problems…
That’s the price you’re paying for going with GM. They are focused more on margins and profits rather than loyalty and reliability.
Now I know…still good cars as I said if they worked!
To be fair, The 2017 XT5 was the first year of that generation model that came out. It appears that the later models have been quite trouble free
These sell like hot cakes in western NY. They are all over.
Here that 8 inch is not good enough , need it to be curved and 33 inches
Absolutely no Alcantara ..Ive been in 3 cars with those and if you dont keep it clean it looks gross.
The Unibody design will always worry me as I am Old-school when it comes to Cars, a tiny bump on the Bumper, and the Vehicle becomes a Parallelogram
Update:
"End of Life"???? Still being made for 2025.
I would prefer, Discrete Control Knobs, Sliders, and Switches over the Touch Screen, It is too far away, and Awkward to operate while driving
The 14 Speaker Sound System is Okay, I can annoy Rappers by Drowning out their Crap, with some Sabbath or Priest.
Moving it to the Right to put it in Manual, then pushing forward/backward to change Gears would be Better than those Stupid Things on the Steering Column
I Permanently Disabled the Auto Stop and find the Driving Experience Improved Immensely. Now to completely remove the OnStar Crap
As for Reliability, I have had 6 Cadillacs since 1991, they have been the Most Trouble Free Cars I have owned.
Car looks great unfortunately GM doesn’t make quality cars. (See Scotty Kilmer
Scotty is an idiot
Wasted discussion of 6 vs 4 cylinder gas engines. In all but a few years most vehicles will be EV. The 6 cylinders are going the way of the 8 cylinder, and the 4 cylinder will go the way of the 6 cylinder. Welcome to the future, for it is here.
not only are you wrong, your politics suck too. You must have been born on Mars. Gas aspirated engines will be around for a long time to come yet.
What will you drive in a big power failure lasting weeks or longer.
