- pulling a fender using the telephone book method. just two guys in a garage trying to make some clearence on a badass ride. one doing the work and the other videoing it. had a chance to actually watch the process, so i videoed it for others to see in our local club.

To the guys bitching, it's like bikes. You have for example Cruisers(Harleys etc) for just that cruising. That's what these stanced cars are for. Cruising. Then you have your streetbikes(R6 R1 GSXR etc) you see people all the time that take these streetbikes, lower them, put a long ass swing arm and wide back tire and make them cruisers basically. However I'd disagree if it was a nice performing car, cars like the STi, The Evos. They're AWD, Have awesome power plants, why would you want to make those cars cruisers? It's all about personality man. Your vehicle can just be an extension of your personality. Nothing is right, nothing is wrong. It's all you. What you might think is wrong, could be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for another guy.

Not sure how many people had these wheels in Hawaii but I missed the chance to buy these exact wheels off a lexus dude for $800 2 years ago because nobody wanted pick them up for me while I was out of state, might’ve been the same set in the video but can’t track them down anymore, biggest regret of my life

This is a pretty good idea. The fender rubs right down the middle of my tire lol. It sticks out a good 4 inches from the body idk if I can stretch it that far! LOL

if you want it to come out better next time take your time pull the heat gun further off the car and slowly roll the fender with a poly hammer it wont crack the paint and youll get a more even roll. and that way you can tuck the splash shield lip in and give your tire more clearance.

i havent tried this idea yet but this trick wont work if you have a coilover suspension, since a coilover wont expand when you jack the car,so the gap between the fender and tire stay the same as when the car is standing on its weight on top of the coilover and you wont be able to insert a thick phone book or anything like that..

Some people do it for a lowered look, some do it for wider wheels. What people choose to do with their cars is their business. Stop acting as if this guys car getting "ruined" is gonna be your problem to fix. If anything goes wrong, it's his car to deal with, not yours.

i rub acetone / nail polish remover all over the wheel well before i do mine.. it seems to help with the heating of the metal.

So tell me why you wouldnt just buy a set of rims that fit your car instead of making the fenders fit whatever you could get that looked cool?
Definite props on the car and it looks amazing but why not just invest in a fender roller? About $75 and if you have friends that need it or something you could easily make your money back by charging a small fee. What I did. This idea is definitely genius, something I never would've thought of but I just figured with a car like that you'd have a fender roller.
