yea, which is good because a rotary tool could wander around and cause damage, this one just whips back and forth a few degrees and stays where you put it.

This be great for grinding legs on ports that don’t quite fit properly and need adjustments. It’s like a tiny dremel, looks like a really nice handy tool to have. Sometimes the dremel is too powerful, so this one would be great. Great videos as always👍

Another use for the pen, you can connect it to a 3D printer and create your own tiny board design.
And it becomes a grinding printer
With a small fan that blows away the dirt
let's say if small board is destroyed. (TouchPad) it is possible to create a cloned board.
      and assemble the components there.
      (not easy, but possible)
I have to try this with my printer, lately I have abandoned her

interesting. I have been using a nail drill instead of a dremel, mostly because it is smaller and has much less bit wobble. This is even tinier, maybe a bit too tiny. Another good thing about nail drills is their quick-release chuck, it's really easy to swap bits.
I like that cutting bit, i wonder if i can buy it separately.
EDIT: btw, nail drills often come with foot pedals - extremely useful.

Like clockwork, whenever I see a new product on Aliexpress I see you pitching it here a week later. Always, lol.
It would be nice to have a source for items in the US as opposed to waiting 30-60 days from China. I'd happily pay a $5-ish markup to get an item I need faster.
I was about to grab one of these and maybe I'll just get one from your shop now rather than pay the $15-20 and then wait 45 days.

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

China is the source and no doubt it's cheaper. If you don't mind the shipping time or customer support, then by all means buy direct. When imported to the USA, we have to pay Customs, Tax, Shipping, Credit card fees, not counting store overhead, packing supplies, the person packaging the items and the 101 things that goes along with making all this happen. We don't really have to explain prices, but everything that we sell is priced low after calculating above mentioned expenses. We run a very busy ecommerce site and with large volume of orders that we get daily it all makes sense. Without your support, we would not have a successful shop whether it's repair or ecommerce. People usually buy to support us for the tremendous effort that it takes to create TH-cam content. Some just donate without buying anything as a thank you for the knowledge shared. Without your support non of this would be possible.

For sure. I was wanting to buy those copper lugs/pads a while back but after emailing I was told it would be a while. After waiting a bit I just grabbed them from Aliexpress...and I'm still waiting a month later, haha.
I've been wanting one of these pens so I'll likely just grab it off your store. As I said, I'd happily pay a fair markup to have a local/in-country source for items I usually have to go to China for.
      Keep it up and thanks!

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE CUTTING BOARDS WITH POWER TOOLS!!
Boards are made of silicon and, if you inhale that dust which is generated from the cutting , you are in high risk to develop pulmonary silicosis. AGAIN, PLEASE AVOID CUTTING BOARDS WITH POWER TOOLS!! If you really have to, DO NOT LET THAT SILICON DUST TO GO IN YOUR LUNGS!!!
