“My mistake was…” - this is a real racer’s mentality right here! ALWAYS look for what YOU could have done differently. Too many drivers - from rental karts to F1 - who never fail to have someone else to blame.
All things equal.. the guy in front of you did seem to 'panic brake' much too early... I can see where you would not have anticipated that early and that hard of a panic stop. At least you didn't smack him from behind and take the both of you out and cause a mess on the track... good job avoiding the car in front.

I should have focused more on what was going on in front of him. I was being to myopic.
