There is also the British Transport Police and other like the Ministry of Defence Police and the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. All have different jurisdictions and police authorities that govern them.
Chances are if you stop you'll get a bollocking and a ticket and no more. I had a similar situation once where I was going significantly faster than 130 as I'd fallen asleep with my foot on the throttle. Very, very scary situation and it's one of the reasons I swear by speed limiters in cars.
The consequences for the second were shown, but not the outcome. The reason people don’t see them, they are in unmarked bmw 3 series mostly, plain cars. The 150+ plus is a vw golf, think you call them a rabbit.
There are some nice roads in the East of Germany and beyond where you can open your throttle fully legal, but those red lights in front come up very fast.
As someone who has some dealings with the UK police, these cars will be unmarked to blend in with normal traffic, plus we have tons of ANPR cameras (pick up your number plate) so if you have no license, insurance or have some intelligence against you (your selling drugs) the camera will notify the nearest police car. If you want an easy life, abide by the law IMO.
Im really proud of our cops in the UK They dont need guns to deal with everyday crimes, they use diplomacy and approach people calmly They are fantastic at pursuits and our amazing bike cops are second to none People do drive a hell of a lot faster generally here in the UK lol
Neal. You asked how they don't see the cop cars. Many cop cars on the motorway in the UK are not in police colors. The are regular colors with hidden lights. In the last clip you can see the car is a black BMW. Regular cop cars in the UK are white with yellow and blue markings.
Remember ! " Never Ever " accept getting in the back of a police car for a traffic offence , unless you are under arrest. The is no law forcing you and no amount of lies or veiled threats from the police mean you are legally obliged to get in their vehicle. Ask for a 7day producer if you do not have your details with you after the car is confirmed insured/road worthy. The is fook all they can do about it. Also, never test your lights or help the police check your vehicle, they know legally they cannot ask you to assist in helping them find a traffic offence , but they will never tell you this.
In Victoria Australia, if you were caught doing those speeds, your car is impounded and a pretty good chance you won’t have a license for at least 12 months. To top it off, your car maybe crushed. Try explaining that to the parent who owns the car!
Police cars on the main roads like that normally are plain cars with lights on the dash so just looks like a normal car until they decide to turn them on . I live in England and can confirm this . See the front of the car is black on the 3rd video .
I always think our police in the UK are better trained. Everything jhas a procedure. For car pursuits there's very set terminology and information they must continually convey to the police HQ. Our policing is also based on how to de-escalate situations. US police always seem so gung-ho and a law unto themselves.... probably due to the gun culture creating fear and tension....
The sentences the criminals receive are too light. Some of our cop drive an unmarked car, so unless you spot the driver wearing a police uniform you wouldn’t know that they were cops.
Those cars are unmarked on the outside... that's why people don't spot them. Th 150mph guy would have had licence suspended for probably 3 years, huge 4 figure fine (if first offender... or could be jail)...
SEE our cops ARE good, and I honestly believe they rate among the best in the world, having had them on my side a few times I know this from experience, but I also know they are MORE than capable of being 'not quite so good' when it suits them, (again from personal experience) I was once stopped while on my motorbike when attending a funeral procession of bikes for a lost brother, All because this copper had a personal 'grudge' against me, he once got me in court on a speeding charge, and the judge threw it out and suggested the copper might not "waste the courts time in future" he was NOT happy about this, and had a personal vendetta against me for years. The show in question is basically police propaganda, always showing the 'good side' of policing and never shows the bad side. For example, would you for one minute say that the American show "cops" bad boys bad boys watcha gonna do" (sorry, it's automatic) is in any way an accurate representation of American police? just keep that in mind when watching these shows. I am *NOT* anti police, I think they do a fantastic job and I certainly owe them my life. Just trying to 'keep it real' is all.
Don’t be confused, these police are “nice” because they are on a tv show, have video camera and go near a police station or film them on the street and you’ll see a different side.
I've not had a bad interaction with police yet. See em quite a lot. Also yh organised crime film police leaving the station in their personal vehicles in order to dox and attack them so makes sense they don't like it, would you like someone filming you leaving your workplace with a chance of them stalking or harming you?
“The fast lane”?? What? There is no fast lane on any motorway in the UK. All lanes have a max speed limit of 70mph, with the outer ones, 2, 3 or 4 etc are for overtaking slower moving traffic. Once done and is safe to do so then everyone should move back over to lane 1. Driving in the “outer” lanes when not overtaking is illegal - (lane hogging) - under UK careless driving laws police can issue an on the spot fine of £100 plus 3 points on the offending drivers licence.
In reality, on most motorways, lane 1 is full of large commercial vehicles, lane 2 has cars doing the legal limit and cars exceeding the limit will move in and out of the second and third lanes. In my experience, on motorways, up to around 85 - 90mph, police tend to ignore speeding, if you’re not doing anything else wrong. Tailgate somebody at that speed and they’ll do you for the speeding as well as the tailgating. I tend to sit on about 80, using the third lane for overtaking, and the second, when it’s free, for running. I’m regularly overtaken by cars doing 90+. The idea is to keep the traffic moving along and, the higher the average speed, the more traffic the road can carry.
These days I chill but in the past I've been a lot faster. On 4 wheels in a Vectra SRi clock showed 147. On 2 wheels on a CBR1100XX slightly modified clock showed 190. The roads were much quieter.
Maybe but for some reason U.K. officers are still not armed as a matter of routine. In this day & age every officer out there needs a gun, as with other countries even in Europe. I can think of several instances where innocent lives could have been saved, and the cops deserve to be able to protect themselves as well. Times have changed since “Dixon of Dock Green!”
The cop cars here are unmarked so nobody can tell. Honestly, even if they were liveried cars, people are still really dumb and never check what's around them
It's common for a certain demographic to treat licenses and insurance as something of a pooled/family thing. Have to be careful, this is 2 Tier Kiers Britain and I don't want to end up in the Gulag!
100 miles an hour, come on ,anyone would think that was fast . I remember a time when I'd drive from London to Derbyshire at 120 miles an hour back in the late 70s / early 80s . Oh, back then then the M1 would be empty !
Don't tell on yourself, yeah ok fair enough. You're going to have to hit me with evidence. Mate he had a picture of him on his tablet thay shows the guy driving the car.
You sound surprised that 150mph is possible on UK roads, UK Motorways have a good road surface, a speed of 150mph is perfectly possible IF YOU are the only idiot on the road. You have no idea what other drivers are going to do. The only way to stay safe is to assume that everyone else on the road is an idiot, and drive defensively. Most drivers in the UK drive at 10mph over the limit on motorways, ( 80mph ), anything over that is dangerous.
I got banned for 17 month when I was 19 when I got caught doing 148mph on my motorbike. I’d just upgraded my bike to a 750cc from a 250cc and I honestly didn’t realise how fast I was going because it only felt like I was doing about 70 maybe 80mph at the maximum.
@howey935. That ban could have saved your life. If you couldn't tell the difference between 70-80mph and 148mph you've no business being on the road. The fastest I've driven a car was 135mph and I knew exactly how fast I was going. I was on a private road of course and nowhere near the M5.
@ Speed is totally different on a big bike compared to cars and smaller bikes and unless you’re constantly checking your speed it’s hard to judge because it takes such a small wrist movement to make your bike go from 50 or 60 to well over 100.
@@howey935Nonsense, I've ridden bikes, not massive ones, the biggest being a 500cc but I've been on the back of plenty of big bikes like my mate's Ducatis (996, Monster & 1198). I can tell the difference between different speeds, even on the back.
Went from a 185 to a 250, was used to going flat out on a stretch of road. The braking distance was about 25 yds longer even with better tyres and brakes, nearly a nasty accident. 😱

They dont need guns to deal with everyday crimes, they use diplomacy and approach people calmly
They are fantastic at pursuits and our amazing bike cops are second to none
People do drive a hell of a lot faster generally here in the UK lol
Neal. You asked how they don't see the cop cars. Many cop cars on the motorway in the UK are not in police colors. The are regular colors with hidden lights. In the last clip you can see the car is a black BMW. Regular cop cars in the UK are white with yellow and blue markings.
As soon as your speed hits 3 figures tut tut
I'd say that depends. Many factors to consider.
I regularly cruise at 100 mph, and when overtaking 150 mph. But here where I live that is allowed.
Love your reactions, keep up the great work 🇬🇧
Now they!!!are thinking of put 50mph on roads instead of 60.
Those cars are unmarked on the outside... that's why people don't spot them. Th 150mph guy would have had licence suspended for probably 3 years, huge 4 figure fine (if first offender... or could be jail)...
I think the 150mph guy just got a 3 month driving ban and a £500 fine.
SEE our cops ARE good, and I honestly believe they rate among the best in the world, having had them on my side a few times I know this from experience, but I also know they are MORE than capable of being 'not quite so good' when it suits them, (again from personal experience) I was once stopped while on my motorbike when attending a funeral procession of bikes for a lost brother, All because this copper had a personal 'grudge' against me,
he once got me in court on a speeding charge, and the judge threw it out and suggested the copper might not "waste the courts time in future" he was NOT happy about this, and had a personal vendetta against me for years.
Should be like the autobahn in Germany. If the conditions are suitable then no speed limit.
I was waiting for the thumbnail clip man, you got me 😂
In the uk you’re ‘dangerous’ if you do 80mph, Germany 130mph is a stroll.
In the UK, if you drive without insurance, your vehicle is seized, just like people in the USA who have their vehicle seized for drug offences.
UK roads are badly maintained and full of traffic jams. High speed chases seldomly occur due to roadworks, traffic jams, road closures etc
I mean, it’s pretty obvious. UK police training and then high speed driving training takes years, US police training is 6 months for everything.
I like how your always smiling..... BTW most of these cars on our motorways are unmarked.
The reason he didn’t see the police was it was an unmarked police car
we are used to little side roads going fast lol, there is a liverpool video of 4 lads running from the police in a motor on YT its mad.
The law should be if you are pursued by Police on blue light and run then you should automatically lose your vehicle
No PIT manoeuvre either, it's not allowed
Vicky and her BMW got smoked by an Astra 😮
A completely different mindset. You can tell by the way the US police wax on wax off, and regularly use the phone and handheld radio at the wheel.
driving with no insurance means car is taken by the police and either crushed or sold.
_I`m sorry. i was returning the DVD after 15 years_
The Police in the UK have got Golf R S3 and 340 bmw. Not much can get away from them kind of cars
Times have changed since “Dixon of Dock Green!”
if you have no insurance in uk your car will be impounded by police
And nobody was shot or put in danger...
Check out " police camera action" episode
"THE LIVER RUN"
Bruv in the UK the police drive undercover cars and they could be any make and or model
If you drive faster than you should take a look at the Irish speeding PSA videos. They may slow you down enough to save a life.
The cop cars here are unmarked so nobody can tell.
Honestly, even if they were liveried cars, people are still really dumb and never check what's around them
cant keep an eye out for the unmarked units XD
Traffic police are usually good but I can't say the same about the rest of them
Didn't Boris Johnson want to abolish speed limits?
It's common for a certain demographic to treat licenses and insurance as something of a pooled/family thing. Have to be careful, this is 2 Tier Kiers Britain and I don't want to end up in the Gulag!
As other shave said these cars are unmarked police cars designed to blend in
That 2nd video was in my home town 😂
If you go over 100mph it is an instant ban.
If you do it in residential area then god knows....prison ?
Subbed 🇬🇧
BIG REGISTRATION PLATES . . . are easy to read.
Never driven a car that can do 150 mph!!
Both of my brother's Voxhal VXR's can. Especially the insignia.
How did they not see the cop car. How did you not see that they were unmarked cop cars.
If this was America, there would be guns, and shouting and a whole lot of unnecessary stuff.
What prstt started the fashion of wearing earphones for no apparent reason ?
British cops are well trained. It seems US cops aren't trained at all!
British police have a much longer and professional traing period than US police so therfore are more professional
100 miles an hour, come on ,anyone would think that was fast . I remember a time when I'd drive from London to Derbyshire at 120 miles an hour back in the late 70s / early 80s . Oh, back then then the M1 would be empty !
and what car were you driving that was hitting those speeds in the 70's/80's
Mostly unmarked police cars.
04:28 - £456 Costs... How much of that is to cover the Police Cars use of Petrol, lol
It’s based on their income.
Type in Gavin Collins for a real messed up chase in the UK
Don't tell on yourself, yeah ok fair enough. You're going to have to hit me with evidence. Mate he had a picture of him on his tablet thay shows the guy driving the car.
There’a a picture if you driving that car earlier, sorry i can’t remember WTF? 🙂
Morning🙂🌞🏴
My Astra won't do 80!
Most drivers in the UK drive at 10mph over the limit on motorways, ( 80mph ), anything over that is dangerous.
wasnt there a japanese guy that went like 196 mph in the uk?
yeah im sure it was a tuned up supra but that was way back in the 90's
@@darrengooding8785 you sure i thought it was a skyine..
well it was a skyline i dont care what anyone says
@@R3ED3R i think it was a supra anyway, as i say it was back in the 90's it was featured in one of the car magazines at the time possibly max power
@@darrengooding8785 yes top secret supra in the 90s. Forgot the name
Idk about anyone else but if I was uninsured, I wouldn’t drive at 100mph 😂
was a skyline thing right?
i will give that you could be doing 100 plus before you realise, but there is no way in hell you wouldnt have noticed 148 and especially just thought you were mayby doing 80
Was it only me who noticed that the coppers speil to the driver at the end of the last clip was hilarious?
Yes, it’s just you.
