Goldfrapp did one of the most beautiful and original version of a DM´s song: Halo. Their version was so good that on previous tour Depeche played the Goldfrapp version rather than their own.
I LOVE that version and love that they used it on the tour. Same with the Jacques Lu Cont remix version of A Pain That I’m Used To
If I didn’t know this was Goldfrapp, I would swear it’s Depeche Mode. The mood and synths are just spot on. Excellent.
