But I'm really curious about these Sennheiser's anyway

Hi Mike, today Momentum True Wireless 2 are on sale for $200 on bb, which one should I buy, the momentum 2 or this new CX plus? I want them mostly to listening music all day at work. I am android user, using apple music or amazon music to stream
Hello! Thanks for this amazing content. I would like to ask you as mac, iPhone and iPad user. Do you suggest this product or AirPods 3? Thank you for answering.
Been using the CX400 for some time because of your review the are great. Is true that sennheiser sold their consumer division. Is this their last earbud?
The company that purchased the division Sonova, has signed a cooperation & licensing deal with Sennheiser with the intention that they will jointly develop new products and that Sonova will market & support them.
Just got these, and yeah they are very nice, blah blah blah, but there is one flaw that no one has mentioned which is a big deal for the majority of my listening. When using just one ear bud at a time, all of the noise cancelling is disabled!! AAAHHHH!!!! I got them to listen to audio books and podcast while working, so I need one ear free for real world listening. When one ear bud is in there is a TON of background noise, a TON. There is a way to cheat this, with the other bud on, you can place it in the case kind of horizontal in the bud slot so that the pressure points are triggered and then close the case. In the end both buds are playing but you are only using one, the ANC only works when both buds are playing. If anyone has a true fix to this please leave a comment. Oh and, Facts, these thing do sound really, REALLY good, +3 bass, 0 mid, +2 treble, with +3 db @ 31Hz (only) in my VLC app. Perfection!
What exactly is the difference between these and Momentum True Wireless 2? It seems that with Aptx adaptive these are even a bit better than the MTW2. So why would you pay the extra 70€? From the next Sennheiser Flagship I'd really like to see LDAC support, but I fear that will never happen. Of course wireless charging is a must. That was mind boggling when it wasn't included in the MTW2, but nowadays it should really be standard.
I got a pair of these and I really like them. They sound very good. And then the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro came out. Those sound better to me and the CX Plus now mostly stay home.
For me, it's just the opposite, on CX the sound comes to me more naturally. L3Ps are great, sometimes I use them at home when I feel like playing with EQ, other functions don't interest me. Outside, the original CX suits me better because I listen mostly to rock and the CX reminds me of its old school character with the sound of an old, good Marshall Monitor :-)
@@pedronajera7567 This is probably very individual, but for me it may also be one of the reasons why the more traditional shape of the CX suits me better, even though I didn't find a propper size of the stock eartips. They hold both in my ears safely and quite comfortably, but I don't know why, I constantly tend to adjust the seating of the L3P, even if it's not necessary. Personally, I don't see any difference in the sensitivity of the touch sensor.
If you are focused on gaming these seem to be the only true wireless earbuds out there that will give you a good experience (low latency through aptX adaptive). However Mike says he measured 300 ms. That's not amazing. The older aptX Low Latency standard claims to achieve 40 ms. Also I haven't seen any dongles with aptX adaptive support. And most PC motherboards won't support that standard yet...
Very good review, thank you Verge. Although these earbuds look really nice aestheticly, it sounds like I can't justifiy buying them. Maybe sometime in the future, Nothing will put out an "ear(2)" that addresses some of these issues. Let's hope, because I love the design choices they have gone with. Sucks to hear they're nothing special apart from that.
Hey Mike, could you do a test on the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro? They seem to bring a lot to the table for the money. I just purchased them and really like them but would like to see your take.
From what i learnt, there is a critical factor that makes me lean towards the sennies which is the lack of aptx on the soundcores. I know the soundcores which have ldac but u basically can't use ldac in videos as there is a high delay, and since most content i consume is TH-cam i will have to resort to aac which is meh.
@@namandingra5486 The ANC is ok. Not as good as my Galaxy Buds Pro (Buds Pro ANC has been very underestimated by many reviewers, and the latest firmware makes them EXCELLENT), but good. Very good. You will fined better ANC at top tier such as Sennheiser MTW2, Sony XM4, Buds Pro, Airpods Pro, but this is just below those, and WORKS WELL ENOUGH. I work as a programmer and often am in office spaces deploying software. One of my clients was talking to me, waving at me, and had to walk right up to my sight line to grab my attention. So, let that tell you that the Liberty 3 Pro's ANC works well enough! Do not let the fact that another manufacturer's ANC is slightly better stop you from purchasing these. Firmware updates will likely make it even better, same as Samsung did with their updates to Buds Pro.
@@addium3151 the other benefits for the Liberty 3's outweigh this IMO. Better all around in every category. And after owning these for two weeks, I can say, they are excellent. Both of these are great choices though.

Great Video. I'm not personally bothered by wireless charging and for me sound quality and comfort are most important - so these will likely go on my shortlist, particularly if the price comes down a little here in the UK.
Sennheiser's Momentum 2 are regularly going on sale for $200. At that price, they're tough to beat. Only alternative I would recommend are the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro. Better all around, and $30 cheaper than the Momentum 2, $10 less than these CX Plus.
O got the momentum 2, the battery is lasting 2 hours... awful. Now I do not which to pick, I loved the sound quality of the sennheiser momentum 2 but 2 hours is unacceptable
When I heard Soundcore I can't imagine anything nut Anker: power banks, power strips, adapters etc. Sennheiser on the other hand: sound and quality. I own Momentum 3 wireless, HD2^ Pro and HD660S. Can't see how Liberty 3 Pro can compete with Sennheiser.

The CX version have no transparency feature. That is a deal breaker for me. Without transparency mode these buds would be annoying if you tried to wear them with other family members around. So as the CX Plus does have transparency mode with sound quality very similar to the Momentum 2's they could be very good value. Just ordered a pair from Amazon.
Sometimes it is good to tune out the family. Personally I think it's rude to talk to people with my earbuds and remove them anyway. The start/stop of the music is good for that.

Same conclusion here like other fee reviews, is like affordable option more that the company give us not only the top high premium one. At the end we can save more money and go for the top, for those that want spend less there are option and compromise much the sound quality.
These are good sounding wireless earbuds BUT I'd recommend buying them when they're On Sale, as the ANC is not that good. Yes it works, but not doing much. Otherwise, these are good
I personally think you should go for the L3P's. I had the CX Plus buds & while they sounded great & had good ANC/transparency modes the L3P's offer all of that plus multi-point connection, Qi wireless charging, louder sound & boomier bass, & awesome features within the app.
I had the MTW2 and sent them back after a week of heavy use of the L3P. The L3P needs much EQing to get an acceptable sound, for my ears, but once I found it, they sound more clear than the Sennie and better bass. Out of the box, the L3P sound awful. The Sennie app EQ is only 3 sliders and so very limited, whereas the L3P EQ is 8 sliders. The presets are all of no use to my ears, but my eventual EQ was based on the Deep preset. I also have the Q30 over ear and they were awful too until I found a good EQ setting. ANC is really good on the Soundcore compared with the MTW2, but I liked the MTW2 Transparency mode option where music pauses also. The Sennie had an annoying hiss all the time, ANC or normal, predominantly in the right bud. The controls are more configurable on the L3P. I had BT issues on the MTW2 not connecting to the app straightaway, requiring BT to be turned off and on, and the Master/slave set up was not good for my left ear dominance. Battery life does suck on the L3P with ANC and LDAC.. less than 4 hours! I liked the fit of the MTW2 better, but the L3P gives so much more for its price than the MTW2, even at the latest $199 Sennie price. Soundcore have really set a new bar for the less than $200 market
I have cx400bt. The sound is neutral and very good soundstage. LP3 needs tweaking as the treble might be a bright for some. I use the hearID, then add acoustic. I do tweak to reduce the treble. I believe the sound is better than Cxplus
I like you and your reviews. However, my opinion of these is quite different. My experience (and that of many other reviewers) is that the ANC is terrible! I don’t notice ANY difference when I turn it on and off. (I did the firmware update, and even did a reset and paired them again.) Well, I thought “at least I’ll have the Sennheiser sound quality”! That was a disappointment too. There is not enough bass, volume, or adjustability! I am comparing these to the other ones I personally own. (Airpods Pro, Beats Fit Pro, Jabra Elite 85T, and the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro) They all have it over these in one way or another, and several of them in EVERY way! I am disappointed in these and will be returning them. (And I only paid $130 for them brand new...)
I use them with my iPad and they sound very low and not bassy at all if I don’t activate EQ on Spotify. With EQ activated they SPRING to life! Bass so deep you feel it inside your head. I’m guessing your problem is with whatever app you’re using it with.
Not Impressed, too biased. My Elite 75T broke and I bought the momentum 2, Sony WFX4 and the Elite 7pro and just returned all of them a week ago and re-bought the 75T. NO brainner.
I have a Jabra Elite 7 and am happy with them. I'm considering if it's worth buying the Sennheiser CX Plus. The CX seems to protrude more than Jabra and you can't lie on the side with them
I have the buds 2 and they are amazing. Except for the fact they do slip out every few minutes if your ears are sweaty. I got some spinfit eartips and that fixed the issue.
The buds themselves are good but the case is at 20 dollar off brand Chinese model level. It’s why I have them because I don’t care about case quality as long as it charges. Just wish the case was better quality
Hey Mike, really loved your reviews. Can you review LG TONE Free DFP9 as well? Its claims are way to above than any other buds (e.g multi pairing upto 5 devices and good ANC)
Thanks for the video. I don't like the design. It is stale and boring for that price. I am tempted to buy airpods pro but worried about the bass. I bought Bose quiet comfort recently but form factor is high. Its bulky to walk around with. But ANC is one of the best. I will pass CX plus unfortunately

Same conclusion here like other fee reviews, is like affordable option more that the company give us not only the top high premium one. At the end we can save more money and go for the top, for those that want spend less there are option and compromise much the sound quality.
hi the app dont reconignse my device is it a problemme sir
You got that new Google! I can't wait.
Just love it
These are good sounding wireless earbuds BUT I'd recommend buying them when they're On Sale, as the ANC is not that good. Yes it works, but not doing much. Otherwise, these are good
What about momentum true Wireless 3?😔
Should I buy these or the soundcore liberty 3 pros.
I personally think you should go for the L3P's. I had the CX Plus buds & while they sounded great & had good ANC/transparency modes the L3P's offer all of that plus multi-point connection, Qi wireless charging, louder sound & boomier bass, & awesome features within the app.
I totally agreed. I will go for liberty 3 pro
@@lingwee buy cx plus. Soundcore will never sound like Sennheiser
I still have my last years CX 400bt.... eventhoughh I get more... still don't see why change them.
extra 50-100 is a big difference when buying headphones
No wireless charging is a dealbreaker for me. As is a big bulky case. I'm gonna pass on these. Thank you!
Trust me the sound makes up for it, there sound is smooth all around and super realistic, best earbuds I’ve had yet
Utility over quality is not the best thing to make your decision
You know wireless charging kills your batteries faster too right? As does lightning charging
Please do a Sony c500 review. Sony c500 vs Jabra E3
Thanks Mike. I will pass on these.
Maybe they were broken? what happened ? Did u give them back
ANC will never be completely solid without wrap around earmuffs tho what do you expect from buds
And jabra ANC is horrible from my experience, might want to check your ears
I use them with my iPad and they sound very low and not bassy at all if I don’t activate EQ on Spotify. With EQ activated they SPRING to life! Bass so deep you feel it inside your head. I’m guessing your problem is with whatever app you’re using it with.
Like your reviews. I'm in the UK, and just picked up a pair of these for equivalent of 95 dollars. No brainer!
Price in Croatia is 100$! :)
The CX seems to protrude more than Jabra and you can't lie on the side with them
I bet the sound is amazing, but the price is a lil bit to high , I prefer the Samsung Buds 2 over these.
I have the buds 2 and they are amazing. Except for the fact they do slip out every few minutes if your ears are sweaty. I got some spinfit eartips and that fixed the issue.
They're literally the same price lol
The buds themselves are good but the case is at 20 dollar off brand Chinese model level.
It’s why I have them because I don’t care about case quality as long as it charges.
Just wish the case was better quality
in microphone test it sounds pretty different from your actual voice, it sounds more like audio from a speaker...
Amazing
Ei ei ei that google pixel phone😲😲😲
I can get these for like 10$ more than the CX, seems like a no brainer to me.
Also spending 50$ extra or 150$ extra is not the same thing, come on.
Please check out 1More earbuds and wired earphones :(
just bought them for 118 euro!
180 no wireless charging? nice video, but the product don't help
wait for flagship
PLEASE drop a best Truly wireless earbuds under 100$
In the video,
Review the best one for lag and audio quality.
One for mic.
One for ANC
One for build quality
One for good overall.
Edifier Neo Buds Pro and Earfun Air Pro 2
Wish I had bigger ears 😢
oh gad the sound is superior and anc is great not bad , but the call quality is bad
