    Thanks 😊. This is just what I needed as today I placed an order for an X100V. I got rid of my X100F a year ago in place of an X-T2 along with a couple of F2 primes thinking that I wanted a bit more versatility. However, I found that my inspiration has been stifled by it. Even though its by no means a large camera it doesn't have that take-everywhere vibe that the X100 series has. Its also not as beautiful and doesn't have that pick-me-up feel about it.
    Looking forward to putting these recipes to the test and trying the new custom settings this new generation of Fujis bring.

      Trust you are well.
      I've just set up my X-T4 with some of your settings, have a week of next week and will be shooting around Banchory in Aberdeenshire. I have one question maybe you can help with. I used to leave my first setting on my custom settings to the default setting so by dialling it up, I had a quick way to reset my camera if I wanted to shoot with a simple film simulation like Velvia. I see you use the first slot. Is there an easy way to reset all the settings so I can use all 7 of the presets?

    Awesome Kevin, Thanks again for all you share with us. Sitting here in my room in a Sydney hotel for two weeks of quarantine, on my way to Brisbane in retirement has given me the opportunity to catch up on your video. I have loaded them into my 100V and will try them out shooting out the window to compare the results. An added bonus is that I gained a much better understanding of the impact of each of the adjustments in the I.Q. menu. I will try them in my other Fuji Cameras when I have a chance. I am also looking forward to watching the presentation you mentioned on how you did the old print photograph scan enhancements when it becomes available. Regards and take care.

    I have been exploring the Leica M9 colour science as the camera is now out of production. I find the photo at 5:45 Kodak style the closest that emulates photos out of the M9. Would be helpful if you could add the lens used, camera, aperture and ISO. Could you pretty please create a recipe called the Leica M9 with the XT4 and the required lens to do the job. I will buy it! Thank you.

I tried copying manually my choices to it, but it does hot appear in the Q menu. I liked it there because I gave them names or titles and so I knew which one I was using. It seems they are real gated to the C1-C6 settings on the dial of my Fuji GSx50SII> Any thoughts or ideas around this.

      Not really. I almost always use spot metering with back button focus. That way I can get the exposure exact that I want. Takes a bit of getting used to but worth it in the end 😃

      You can use either. X-Raw studio if you the latest cameras will allow you to add them from the PC. Or you can just dial them into your custom settings on the camera itself.

    Hello Kevin. I'm going to ask a dumb question. Can you apply all these custom settings to a single photo? Example. You take a picture and you have 7 versions of the photo on the card. Or can you shot RAW the add one of these settings and save then to the card in camera? Thanks for your videos.

    • @kevin_mullins
      @kevin_mullins  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a dumb question at all. You can get close with film SIM bracketing but it won't do exactly what you want. The best thing would be to use X-Raw studio after.

    Awesome video and great JPEG settings! One thing I wanted to add was in regards to Clarity. If you set the Clarity option, this only applies in Single Shot drive mode. If you switch to Continuous mode, it will disable Clarity automatically. I usually like to leave Clarity enabled with Single Shot mode as it slows me down a little bit, but with my little ones, sometimes you just need to use Continuous shooting to capture that rare moment where they are both looking at the camera! In those situations where I need to use Continuous drive mode, I find my RAW file afterwards, go into Fujifilm X RAW Studio and add the Clarity.

    • @kevin_mullins
      @kevin_mullins  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Shawn. I do mention the clarity bit in the video and that it will slow everything down a little. Good tip about returning the X-Raw if you are shooting continuous. :-)

      Kevin Mullins Thanks Kevin! Always enjoy your photography and content, between TH-cam, your blog and FujiLove. I really wish Fujifilm would develop a Lightroom and/or Capture One plugin for X RAW Studio integration, that would be amazing. Fujifilm JPEGs are usually all I ever need and having X RAW studio to adjust things after the fact but maintain those beautiful Fuji colors would be tremendous!

    Hi Kevin, I've got 2 questions about X-RAW Studio - First : Is it possible to erase 1 profile in User Profile and rename it? Strictly impossible here - Second : With my X-E3 I don't have Camera Profile panel with the button SAVE in X-RAW Studio - All seems ok , software and camera, I really don't understand the problem. The X-E3 is not compatible or other,… - Thanks

    • @kevin_mullins

      For the User Profile, I can just Right click and choose rename etc? That works fine. For the Save to camera, I believe that is only available for the very latest Cameras (X-Pro3, X100V, XT-4 etc). So you will need to dial in the settings in the camera (which should only take a few moments).
