@qikqbn77 says "A quick tip is to install screen protector before installation so that you can remove the face plate surround. Lay down screen protector, then reinstall faceplate surround on top of that. I used a matte finish screen protector to cut down on glare. I like this unit so much, that I ordered another one for my Cayman. The only thing I modified was adding a little darker color to the plastic surround to better match the color with oem center console controls. It looks like a great match in video, but in sunlight it is just a bit lighter in color than oem parts. thanks for the video." Thanks for sharing!
Great review and thank you for you thorough installation video. I installed the same unit in my 997.1 C4S and have been loving it. I installed a screen protector same day as installation. Thanks for this and the full installation video, so much good information. I also have an android head unit from a different company on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. But the head unit UI is pretty much identical to mine. I also have a 2008 Cayman and I’m thinking about getting this head unit. I just had one question, have you figured out a way to get the icon/ launcher for CarPlay onto the head unit home screen?
@@pitis2flie I have not. "Car" changes the brightness. One can experiment and try to install different launchers to get what you need. I have not felt the need to but will do it one day : )
Do you agree? Do you use this head unit? Thoughts? Let us know in the comments below:

Hello: do you know how can I change the color light of physical keys? Thanks
Under settings, there’s a setting for “illumination” or something similar. That lets you change the setting for the button lights.
From where i can buy this?

I just noticed it has a physical button labeled “car”, I’m guessing that’s a CarPlay button.

PS Exciting about the Cayman!
