    This series is everything. I'm 26 and competing in my first powerlifting competition Nov 11th!! Soo soon! Not gonna lie, I'm SO NERVOUS. Just watching this video gave me anxiety for the big day! 😨 Regardless, it's so good to have reliable information on powerlifting competitions all in one place! Thank you and keep up the amazing work!!!!!

    This series is so awesome! My first USAPL meet is in January, and it's a huge help getting all of this information from someone who I trust and is so entertaining. Also, that clip of you doing the > 400 lb deadlift gets me every time.

    • @Megsquats
      @Megsquats  7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Loosen it ya silly goose! There are plenty of ways to wear it. Some lifters go higher on the rib cage, but I'd play around with positioning on the torso and tightness. Def shouldn't be pinching or hurting ya, but it does take a little while to get used to.

    • @Megsquats
      @Megsquats  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would recommend working with an in-person personal trainer and/or PT and start really light or find variations to start that you feel comfortable with. Prior injuries should be seriously considered before jumping into a competition. If you're dying to compete, there are many bench only competitions that could be a good direction to start with.

    Hi megsquats, you girls have it all, good looks, grace and beauty combined with power to outlift the boys, probably you are more intelligent then the boys, paying more attention to technique, preparation, and the mental side to it , i was a driving instructor, on the whole the girls were better.
