Kristen - I TOTALLY get how you feel regarding meeting the characters being stressful and I feel so much better knowing it's not just me lol 😆 You two did a great job here and we appreciate you putting yourself through this repeatedly to show us these dining experiences - taking a buddy (or brother 🤣) is definitely the way to go!
I am SO appreciative of this video (and you)! I will be going here next week and went through your videos last week because I know you are doing this series on all the Epcot restaurants and didn't see this one. I know you previously went with Nate (PMM) last year and shared that amazing photo of you with Belle as a kid but I am so glad you finally uploaded your own review! Thank you so much!! Keep up the great work 🎉
You were so brave! 😂😂 Easy to meet the Princesses. Thanks for doing all these reviews. Seriously, it helps us folks who only get to go to Epcot once a year! And cheers to your beve at Bellevue bar! Wowza! Looks amazeballs!
I did the full Disney princess Akershus experience as a special surprise from my parents when I turned 25🎉 Appropriate age right!? 😂I found the Norwegian meatballs and the rice cream with strawberries to be scrumptious 😋👑
I’m kinda like you when it comes to the characters. I’d much rather observe than participate. The restaurants should have a section for those who don’t need/want to meet the characters. Some of us may just want to try the food. Love your reviews!!
You’re reading my mind! Going there on our next visit to Epcot. It will be my first time trying Akershus. Wonder if I’ll like it more than the food at Cinderella Castle…
I met my Norwegian husband while working at Akershus. We wish it was better. I also wish they served Norwegian shrimp on bread with Norwegian mayonnaise. It’s so good. It would blow your mind 😝
I had one of those red velvet cones on Virgin Voyages, honestly couldn't tell the difference (but at least there it was all included). $2 at WDW to me makes this the Easiest upsell to skip.
Saw you on phoebes POV yesterday, so I was waiting for this one! It would probably be a skip for us, because even my kids aren’t character people 😅 BUT… it does make me want to go to IKEA for some meatballs and lingonberry soda!😂🤣
You are definitely paying for the characters...the food at a place like this is likely prepared in large batches....they probably have a buffet setup in the kitchen and the servers just fill a plate of food from giant warming pans of bulk prepped food. When my daughters were little it was certainly worth the price for sure given their desire to meet characters...but today, I think I would much rather spend $67 pp on a meal at Chefs de France or Le Cellier
I went as a kid- it was a buffet back then. We had Akershus booked for a lunch in August and after watching reviews, decided my kids won’t like the food so we cancelled.
Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter and rolls 🙌🏼 We went to Akershus earlier this year for a late breakfast to take advantage of early entry. Had looked at dinner but we have a picky eater. And agree it is a good way to skip lines and meet the princesses. I have little ones to play off in making conversation with other characters that don’t talk, so with the princesses it’s appreciated that they make conversation. We enjoyed the food for a theme park.
We ate breakfast here when we were at Disney 10 years(!) ago to be able to be some of the first in the park to get those good people less shots. We booked the earliest reservation and walked in before park opening. The food was fine, but nothing really memorable. But meeting that many princesses at once was a bonus though.
I agree so much ...I hate character dining and feeling so out of place amongst the kids and families...(usually its just me and my husband) but I want to go just for the atmosphere! and yes to try the crappy food lol
A long time ago I used to go to the rotating restaurant at the Living The Land pavilion and all the characters were silent. mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale. I felt the same way you did, especially when I was alone, but it's easier for me just to be around characters who don't talk.
I really preferred the way the lounge felt/ looked previously but I’m fairness I haven’t been to to redesign in person. Nice on martini! I don’t have alcohol, but if I did… ☕️ cheers Kristen - phoebe is great I subscribe
Very random, but i used to put a hot dog, cheese, v& sriracha (or other sauces) into a lefse, rolled it up, microwaved it... it was delicious. 💯 However, I do live in WI, so lefse is sold in the grocery stores.
Thanks for the video Kristen. I have seen other videos and the food just never looks overly appetizing. And I, too, don't enjoy character visits. I just want to eat hot food lol!
I took my daughter here in 2008 and I remember it being a buffet with a lot of food including all you can eat cheeses and meats. What happened to the food quality?
Kristen, I almost bust a gut when you said, "Thank the Lord that's over!" -- after the 👸 princesses finally departed. I feel the same way about Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. The food looks SO good -- I would love to eat there. However, I have no desire to take a picture with Goofy. And the other characters are so annoying when they stop by the tables. The pantomiming goes on forever! I just want to eat my food in peace and enjoy the characters from a distance. 😊
I really enjoyed you and Phoebe hanging out and eating together. She is my favorite person with you on the channel. She dealt with the princesses, and you were maybe not as comfortable as normal but still enjoyed yourself. A really great video, thank you so much. 🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
Girl I stress about meeting character too! I’m so awkward meeting humans much less a character and then I get in my head thinking “ these characters prob think it so weird meeting an adult instead of a kid” so then I panic more haha
I have the same anxiety My ex was all about meeting Ariel It was hotter than the fifth level of hell in lion but yes, she was all about it I’m totally not in character and breaking the illusion but yes, thr anxiety
We had reservations for breakfast in April. Only met 3 out of the 5 princesses that I see in vlogger vids. I was not happy. The cast member said during the busy seasons, it’s 3 instead of 5 princesses. Food was good but not worth cost. I’ll never book this experience again.
The food looked horrible. I wouldn't have been happy if I paid over $25 for that meal. The character dinner at the Wilderness looked much better. Thanks for your review.
I completely get you RE the character meals. That wouldn’t be my vibe at all. I’m thinking the move is to just tell them you’re there to dine minus the cosplay. It seems super uncomfortable to me as an adult having to pretend these actors are characters. I get that kids love it but if adults are just there for the dining there needs to be a way to opt out. Enjoy your reviews 😊
Is there an option where you can tell the hostess or server please dont come to our table, characters freak me out? I dont like them either and it seems like it would be a waste of time to go to tables that dont really want a meet and greet.
Decent for families with little kids. Maybe not so great for kids in their late 20’s/ early 30’s…. Bonus points for no gratuitous usage of the term “glizzy”.
We enjoyed this restaurant, but could tell they were making the princesses rush. Each one stopped at our table for maybe 15 seconds a quick hi and take a picure and bye. No real interaction. We had our 3 year old with us and she did enjoy it ❤
You are so right in saying Akershus dining is the best way to meet a lot of princesses. It really would save so much time in trying to hunt those princesses down, and waiting on line to meet them. Something you should mention though is that Akershus dinner is 2 TS credits for those on the dining plan. No TS is worth 2 TS credits. Best to pay out of pocket for it, or just do the breakfast which is only 1 TS credit. Personally, I don't think the dining plan is a good option, but so many people seem to use it, it might be worth mentioning. Thank you for another great review. Now I know it's a place I don't need to go to since I don't have small children and the food doesn't appeal to me. And, the princesses I see wandering around the park fills my princess quota just fine. Edit to add... saw you at Evermore. Will you be doing a vlog on it?
I agree do not want to interact with the Disney cast so I would not go unless they could provide a table sign that would tell them keep going. I would do a J Lo no eye contact please. Looked like a big pass.
Give the actresses credit, they mostly stayed in character. Good hand movements
“Maybe she’s sleeping”
*Aurora comes in with a twirl*
“Oh, nope, she’s awake” LOL 😭
I am SO appreciative of this video (and you)! That Belle was on point!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yup, the salads at Liberty Tree Tavern are the best. That’s the only restaurant in the world that has me excited for salad. I’m not gonna lie.
A MAGICAL NIGHT WITH THE PRINCESSES AND PRINCESS KRISTEN
That wright down Main Street espresso martini is definitely on my list for the next trip ❤
I freeze up when I meet talking characters too but I still love meeting them too😂
Love your videos!
I’m kinda like you when it comes to the characters. I’d much rather observe than participate. The restaurants should have a section for those who don’t need/want to meet the characters. Some of us may just want to try the food. Love your reviews!!
Phoebe is a clip the way she came into the room after you guys were finished with dinner!,🤣🤣🤣
You’re reading my mind! Going there on our next visit to Epcot. It will be my first time trying Akershus. Wonder if I’ll like it more than the food at Cinderella Castle…
Such fond memories there back 13-14 years ago when they still offered free dining which made it super worthwhile for 1 credit.
That martini looks so good! PMM got nothing on you! 😂
Yeses! That raspberry jelly in chocolate cakes. Bleech!
I met my Norwegian husband while working at Akershus. We wish it was better. I also wish they served Norwegian shrimp on bread with Norwegian mayonnaise. It’s so good. It would blow your mind 😝

Yes you can get the whole meatball meal for 10 bucks now since they raised the prices but better than 67 dollars! lol
@@Tatsandteee haha YES!! and then a $2 vanilla ice cream cone on the way out! 🤣 can't really beat it!
Hi hunn. Do you remember ponjebolle at Kringla og bakery? I loved it and can't find any reference or recipe. Please reply. Cheers!
Awesome review! I agree that the mac and cheese should be in a separate bowl, that is way too many different flavors touching on one plate.
You are definitely paying for the characters...the food at a place like this is likely prepared in large batches....they probably have a buffet setup in the kitchen and the servers just fill a plate of food from giant warming pans of bulk prepped food. They need a red and green light that you can press. Green, good to come to our table, red, good yo go away. 😊
Brilliant!
Watched twice already! ❤
Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter and rolls 🙌🏼

Kristen, you are the BEST!!

Ok Kristen…heading to Jose Tejas for my birthday tomorrow. What is the absolute best you suggest?!? Is it still the blackened salmon?!? 😊😊😊
A long time ago I used to go to the rotating restaurant at the Living The Land pavilion and all the characters were silent. mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale. I felt the same way you did, especially when I was alone, but it's easier for me just to be around characters who don't talk.
Awwww, did the stop the special appetizer buffet bar they had when I went in 2009?
That was the best part!!!!
Yes, they no longer have that unfortunately
I really preferred the way the lounge felt/ looked previously but I’m fairness I haven’t been to to redesign in person. Nice on martini! I don’t have alcohol, but if I did… ☕️ cheers Kristen - phoebe is great I subscribe
lol Shop Rite! Take the girl out of Jersey but you can’t take Jersey out of the girl!
That's so cool that you got an espresso martini named after you!
Very random, but i used to put a hot dog, cheese, v& sriracha (or other sauces) into a lefse, rolled it up, microwaved it... it was delicious. 💯 However, I do live in WI, so lefse is sold in the grocery stores.
We like that bar too, loved your honesty about the meal! My wife wants to know why no princess from Frozen were there, it was Norway.
That would make sense to have Anna & Elsa there right? I'm not sure why they don't!
Thanks for the video Kristen. I have seen other videos and the food just never looks overly appetizing. And I, too, don't enjoy character visits. I just want to eat hot food lol!
It needs to serve booze
The Cinderella Castle dining experience served booze; it would definitely aid the experience
We had a very crabby Snow White at our dinner. Spoiled it for the grandkids.
I’ve been there for breakfast. I feel it’s a great value with the princesses.
Do they still have the buffet of meats and cheeses to go with your meal?
Unfortunately they do not
I took my daughter here in 2008 and I remember it being a buffet with a lot of food including all you can eat cheeses and meats. What happened to the food quality?
We ate breakfast there on our trip in June. It was fantastic!!!
do they have a childrens menu at all
Can you see the princess at lunch to?
You rock Kristen. :)

Kristen and phoebe are the most amazing people ever❤️I definitely want to meet belle
More character dining PLEASE because it's too fun watching you cringe as they approach and then so relieved as they leave!😂
Stop laughing in my pain, Carol 😂😂😂 Only kidding
Wright Down Main Street Espresso Martini! Yes, please!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
I’ll take three
I thought the princesses only came out during the breakfast buffet?
Congratz on your own drink. Ima order the BTC cocktail
I really enjoyed you and Phoebe hanging out and eating together. She is my favorite person with you on the channel. She dealt with the princesses, and you were maybe not as comfortable as normal but still enjoyed yourself. A really great video, thank you so much. 🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
I notice Phoebe is never around when Taylor Swift has a concert somewhere. coincidence???
😂😂
LOL. Maybe her name is Phoebe Kent. LOL
I'm not a drinker but that martini looked delicious!
It's too bad that they removed the chicken dumplings from the menu!! They were so good!!!
You go girl, strong showing
Can not go wrong with Liberty Tree but no charter interactions.
I’d love to see the breakfast dinning you could ask Nate to do it with you
Girl I stress about meeting character too! I’m so awkward meeting humans much less a character and then I get in my head thinking “ these characters prob think it so weird meeting an adult instead of a kid” so then I panic more haha
I have the same anxiety
My ex was all about meeting Ariel
It was hotter than the fifth level of hell in lion but yes, she was all about it
I’m totally not in character and breaking the illusion but yes, thr anxiety

I loved taking my girls there for breakfast!
The food looked horrible. I wouldn't have been happy if I paid over $25 for that meal. The character dinner at the Wilderness looked much better. Thanks for your review.
Who was your favorite characters as a child? Princesses or cartoon characters?
Question.. it's a lot of food. Can you bring Tupperware?? Yes, I'm a grandma 😂😂
Bring a cooler bag and disguise it as a regular hand bag
I don’t think they check you’re bag on the way out
Can you ask with no fish. If I see fish touching anything in my plate i’m done. Can you ask just a plate of meat balls and mashed potatoes, that’s it
I completely get you RE the character meals. That wouldn’t be my vibe at all. I’m thinking the move is to just tell them you’re there to dine minus the cosplay. Is there an option where you can tell the hostess or server please dont come to our table, characters freak me out? I dont like them either and it seems like it would be a waste of time to go to tables that dont really want a meet and greet.
Why pay the high price to go to Character dining if you don't want the character experience?
@@mamasusieq045exactly. There are many other restaurants they can go to that don’t have characters if it freaks them out so much.
Legitimate question lol I wouldn't want that either
I would love to take my 5 year old granddaughter to bibbidi bobbidi boutique and then take her to dine with the princesses.
Nice video…7 princesses.
I follow you from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Very loud in there
Decent for families with little kids. Maybe not so great for kids in their late 20’s/ early 30’s….
Bonus points for no gratuitous usage of the term “glizzy”.
Geez, I wasn’t expecting a Spanish Inquisition
@ - No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Its more ikea than actual norwegian food
We enjoyed this restaurant, but could tell they were making the princesses rush. Each one stopped at our table for maybe 15 seconds a quick hi and take a picure and bye. No real interaction. We had our 3 year old with us and she did enjoy it ❤
It's glace, not glacé.

Edit to add... saw you at Evermore. Will you be doing a vlog on it?
The food really doesn't look that good!
Ugh, that Mac & cheese looks awful! I guess it’s true that none of the character dining should be chosen if you want to eat good food.
I agree do not want to interact with the Disney cast so I would not go unless they could provide a table sign that would tell them keep going. I would do a J Lo no eye contact please. Looked like a big pass.
Yes, you can let your server know and the princesses will not visit your table.
The food looked so ugly! Brown and beige; hard mashed potatoes 😮
That menu was not very appealing to me…
$67 😳😳😳
Sound icky
that was the most horrible looking food of any your adventures
Thank the fr/@kin LORD???? REALLY?? BYE!! UNSUBSCRIBED...
If your son wants to meet princesses instead of woody or buzz we've got some problems. That I can tell you. 🤣🤣🤣
This is a disgusting take
Is Kristen on of the Princess’s at Disney?
Yes!
Croque Glacé over everything 🫡
You made a huge sacrifice for us all 🫡🙏
