My favorite one on Game Boy is Pokemon Red and Blue. It was a really great part of my childhood, although the game mechanics were different from normal. But games are meant to be fun for everyone anyway.
This console is nostalgic for me even at 14. This was my dad’s first handheld, and he played the heck out of it back in the day, and I’m glad to say he passed the love of Nintendo to me, and I actually have an original boxed copy of Link’s Awakening and the system itself with other games of course.
I have fond memories of: Metroid fusion Super Mario land 2: 6 golden coins Pokémon yellow Zelda a link to the past Zelda links awakening Yoshi’s Island I miss them all

I bought Pokemon Crystal for my 2DS today. I really wanted Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver or Pokemon Black and White instead, but they're not sold in my country and unfortunately I can't afford to import them.
Either release a Game Boy app like the NES one to the Switch or do a Game Boy Classic Edition with a wider selection of games than the NES and SNES Classics.

A little late for that. It was first released in Japan in April of 1989. Unless you mean the North American release, you are off by over three months.
