When will they finally but and Hardmode in. They could make it easy for newcomers and put an hardmode in for more experienced players. THAT is a real feature for longtime fans. When you recycle gen 1 for the second time you could at least make it interesting for everyone not just new fans.
@End My Pain Black and White had a challenge mode and i liked it. But why can't they put a chalenge mode in from the beginning. It can't be that hard to raise the levels, change the teams of gymleaders, rivals and villains a bit and to give some of their pokemon items.

Same - especially the outright insulting levels of handholding. Pokemon Red was such a magical experience for me BECAUSE of the surprises and wake-up fights. Mowing down Bug Pokemon with Charmander only to be flattened by Brock, walling Normal Pokemon with Geodude only to get one-shotted in Misty's Gym - stuff like made the Kanto games so fun and unpredictable for first-time players.

The data mines basically proved that these games won't have post game content apart from the PokeDex and Master Trainers AKA grinding for hours, so you can stop trying to act like these games are packed to the brim with features. These games are certainly not an Emerald, HGSS, B2W2 or ORAS. Sidenote: The Pokémon Company is deleting many comments on their social media with comments regarding the low quality of the PokéBall Plus accessory, rushed and ported models, and general laziness with these games. They're trying to cover that these are annual releases.

There would be so much less backlash if Pokemon company just admit that its a game only for pokemom go players and lower the price to 40 based on the amount of content and depth in the game. This isn't worth the price of red dead redemption or breath of the wild. The more they keep saying its for veteran players the more upset the vets will be. They dont want mu first pokemon. The strongest factor this game has is nostalgia. I highly doubt you can find 1 review that doesnt you nostalgia as a cover for protection of this game. They need to just admit its not for vets.

Long time fans - myself included - tend to regard Pokemon Let's Go as an entry level title for "newcomers" (mobile only players). It's Kanto once again (the one everyone knows), has very limited wild battle components, very quick exp gain, and several NPCs that just give you the answer to certain puzzles or Gym weaknesses. The two features from Let's Go I'd want to see in Gen 8 would be the universal following mechanic and the Pokemon Go style catching mechanic, provided that wild encounters in Gen 8 still require whittling a Pokemon down.
2018 has been the perfect example for that 90's song, "don't go chasing waterfalls". Blizzard, Game Freak, Besthesda should just stick to the rivers, and the lakes like they're used to.

Now, I like Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. I like it's upsides. But at the same time, I can't pretend that it's perfect or that the large amount of hate for it is unjustified, because there's tons of downsides too. I'm sorry but "it's for casuals and newcomers" just isn't a good enough excuse for some of the bad choices made in this game. Which is even sadder when you realize Gen 5, 6 and 7 were all steps back to begin with as the peak of content, the peak of things to do was Gen 4. Including Trash Go now, they've either dumbed down or removed almost 70 pieces of content. That's at least 250 hours of content they are capable of doing and refuse to even though as of the 3DS there was no excuse. They were no longer limited by the system.

Please give fans the chance to match their NES, SNES classics with the ultimate one .. the N64. Please release N64 classic as soon as possible. Switch games are actually dropping in price on amazon. I wouldn't pay full price for it but I think the game will be fun enough to pick it up for $30 somewhere down the line.

Kanto nostalgia and the game has references to the anime with characters like Team R trio, Misty, Brock, etc. 3. New Pokemon (Meltan and Melmetal) 4. Master Trainers (Postgame one-on-one ditto battles with no items) 5. Interacting with your Pokemon (riding Pokemon, playing with your starter, Pokemon following you) MY OPINION: I disagree that this game can "keep veteran players on there toes" like the website advertises, but if this game is able to expand the Pokemon player base by inviting children and Indigo League anime fans, I'm fine with that. The community needs to be expanded. But I hope that Nintendo has the mind to actually give veteran players more content in the next games, whether that be a difficulty setting from Gen5, a Battle Factory from Gens 3 and 4, or an overhaul of the way the main story is played (like in Colosseum/XD with snagging and double battles). BARE minimum I would be happy to see another game dedicated to battling like Battle Revolution and the Stadium series. Unless Game Freak starts reeling in their experienced playing base with their next games, that player base are going to turn away. I hope fans don't have the ignorance to bash Game Freak for trying new things like they did during Black and White, which is now loved for it's uniqueness.

You could play red, blue and yellow on your N64 through Pokemon stadium with the controller adapter. Technically that's playing a core Pokemon on a home console.
I don't care that this is a more casual Pokemon game. What I do care about is the Non Support of the Nintendo Pro Controller! Why is it not supported when you can play the Game in handheld mode?? I love the controller and I would like to use it here too!
The fact that they could not answer the question about "a 1998 n64 racer with captain falcon" clearly being fzero x, but yet knew right away the answer to a 1988 Japanese title with "vegetables the key to victory" as super Mario 2, is absolutely infuriating, and says alot about the fzero franchise...this worries me

Not going to buy it for 2 major reasons, it is a MAJOR step backward from sun/moon, and smash is literally right around the corner.
Which is even sadder when you realize Gen 5, 6 and 7 were all steps back to begin with as the peak of content, the peak of things to do was Gen 4.
Including Trash Go now, they've either dumbed down or removed almost 70 pieces of content. That's at least 250 hours of content they are capable of doing and refuse to even though as of the 3DS there was no excuse. They were no longer limited by the system.
Sigils, ETHEC. which gen 5 bw yes not bw2 though that has the 1st or 2nd most amount of content in a pokemon game lmao
@@RunicSigils Okay, I don't agree with that. Gen 5 was really good and one of the best entries to the franchise, but I get why you say gen 6 and 7 act as culprits.
But yeah, Let's Go is the worst case of stepping back.

This is basically my stance on this game, I know that this isn't a "core" game. But it still seems like a load of fun to see Kanto in HD.
NINTENDO, please release our N64 classic! It was the must buy item Nintendo had up their sleeve and the power of nostalgia is much more powerful than new graphics on another release. Please give fans the chance to match their NES, SNES classics with the ultimate one .. the N64. Please release N64 classic as soon as possible. People are still going to pay and use your service online ... but we want the system!

Switch games are actually dropping in price on amazon. I wouldn't pay full price for it but I think the game will be fun enough to pick it up for $30 somewhere down the line.

Pokemon LG: 5 features for Longtime Fans TL;DR
1. The game is on the switch, so it has both couch play and mobile play
2. Kanto nostalgia and the game has references to the anime with characters like Team R trio, Misty, Brock, etc.
3. New Pokemon (Meltan and Melmetal)
4. Master Trainers (Postgame one-on-one ditto battles with no items)
5. Interacting with your Pokemon (riding Pokemon, playing with your starter, Pokemon following you)
MY OPINION: I disagree that this game can "keep veteran players on there toes" like the website advertises, but if this game is able to expand the Pokemon player base by inviting children and Indigo League anime fans, I'm fine with that. The community needs to be expanded. But I hope that Nintendo has the mind to actually give veteran players more content in the next games, whether that be a difficulty setting from Gen5, a Battle Factory from Gens 3 and 4, or an overhaul of the way the main story is played (like in Colosseum/XD with snagging and double battles). BARE minimum I would be happy to see another game dedicated to battling like Battle Revolution and the Stadium series. Unless Game Freak starts reeling in their experienced playing base with their next games, that player base are going to turn away. I hope fans don't have the ignorance to bash Game Freak for trying new things like they did during Black and White, which is now loved for it's uniqueness.

They’re not going to change it, the game was in development before it was announced. They can’t change the main mechanics towards the end of development.
