    This video helped me. The bolt was still in place, but I put WD-40 on where the bolt holds the rod in place. That did the trick. If it meets any resistance, it won't open or close as it thinks something is stuck. Thanks for the video!

    Found my loose bolt at the bottom of the inside fender, had to remove the tire jack to get my hand down there to search for it. Thanks for posting. 1/2 of time and lift gate working again on 2012 Armada Platinum

    Thanks. I also drilled a 1/2" hole in the siding and put a cap on it to easily access the bolt in the future

    Thanks for the video, loose bolt solved my problem. The only issue I had was my big hands fitting back in the hole. I had to spend 5 minutes to wipe off the blood from the scratches!

    Same exact issue!! Thx!! M6x15 I think I used. With red Loctite. And I used my stubby flashlight just like you to hold the panel open. Lol.

    The bolt is an M6-1.0 x (about) 18mm. Helpfully for those that weren’t so lucky to find it.

      Thank you. I needed the bolt size as mine had gone completely "walk-about" and an M6-1.0x20 with a washer/lockwasher/locktite and all is well.

    Thank you soo much for this video! My problem is I found the bolt. Then while trying to screw it in lost it again. Ordered a new one. Screwed it in. It worked then fell off again because I couldn’t get enough access to it to screw it in properly. What did you use to screw it in tight?

    This issue occured on my car. What kind of bolt do you need? Where did you get it? If you have a link so i can grab a hold of it.

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bolt fell down below and I was able to find it and put it back in. If yours is missing it should be down below where it screws into the rod. It is a shouldered bolt but I do not have the P/N.

      I so appreciate your reply. I found my bolt 🔩. My problem is lining the holes up. When my door incident happened that heavy steel piece moved and is what is causing my door not to shut. Everyone seems to want to take a hammer to it which is giving me anxiety. Help!!! Lol

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sherrierollins1866 If you take a hammer to it make sure you don't damage it.
