This is really making me realize how much I love the design of the crucible knights, you run into so many it’s easy to forget how neat the design is. Great showcase as always!
Probably one of my favorite concepts in any from soft game. Even made a character themed around them

For sure! I think I like the tree armor a bit better than the axe armor, I use it all the time!
I like using the glowing antler headband with the full tree crucible set for extra style points.
Makes me feel like a druid/shaman that has had enough of your shit and is ready for war!
Why are weapons only to plus 10?
@@dangeroushandles Somberstone upgrade weapons, aka the 'unique' weapons, go to +10. Normal weapons upgrade to +25. It's the same stat-wise, it just makes normal weapons way more of a pain to upgrade because From hates us.
It makes no sense to me why a stab isn’t a part of this weapon’s move set. All the bosses that fight you with this weapon stab you like there’s no tomorrow
Maybe it would make great swords better than other weapon types ,just the only thing that would make sense to me

I like the invasions a lot cause you never know what might happen so I’m leaning more torwards more invasions
I agree. The invasions give a lot more variety and opportunities to see harder-to-pull-off AoWs.
Yeah the invasions have a higher skill ceiling which makes them more interesting, at least I think this is because you have to balance terrain and positioning on top of combat not to mention you're often fighting more than one person.

For me, duels are where I learn how to pvp with my build and invasions are where I present my build to others.
I definitely lean towards more invasions. 6-4 or 7-3 sound great!

I'd like to see more invasions specifically on the fixed ash of war weapons. I think with the customizable ones, duels are better for showing off the variety.

The video series is focused not on the funny and unique situations, but mainly on the weapon itself and what it is capable of. For fun there are invasion streams and stream cut videos

Invasions are both exciting and informative on the weapon in the showcase not to mention a lot of people invade and don’t duel making the first part not informative. Duels are a very controlled experience. Invasions add a level of uncertainty that only helps show what a weapon can truly do. Plus, some weapons shine when up against a gank squad. Limiting them to a mostly one on one scenario runs counter to showcasing what they're capable of.
100% second this! To the guy that said invasions can be done in streams, a lot of us don’t have the time to watch through streams and watch these videos for entertainment/highlights. You get a generally good idea of the weapon’s move set within 2-4 duels and invasions are peak entertainment imo.

I’ve been cosplaying crucible knight the past few days and this thing’s weapon art does an insane amount of damage, no hit a few main bosses because of it
The spear is crazy strong as well and it’s a projectile attack.

I really like the invasion part of the weapon showcase. I think that’s really where the build shines. It seems like the duels show more of your skill than the weapon, invasions can be so chaotic that the weapon itself could make or break

Since the Crucible Knight set buffs the crucible incantations, too, an incantation invasion video would be pretty fun!
I wish the sword was a bit less chunky, but I will say it's AoW is one of the coolest looking in the entire game.

@@1IGG Yeah, that's like 95% of weapon arts in ER. It doesn't have to be practical to look cool, and this is by far one of the less impractical ones honestly. It'd be better if they didn't show their back like that, but at least you have the rapidly spinning blade of death there to deter people from stabbing you, so it has that going for it.
Crucible Knight cosplay in appearance (as well as extreme fighting difficulty), was looking forward to this! :D

The Crucible Knight armor is so dope, definitely one of my favorite sets in the game.
Father Canehurst is a legend, LOL. Everyone has to drink it all right at the beginning or he is out
Another ash of war that has crazy hyper armor is prayerful strike. It's hard to hit players with it from neutral, but it works if they're trying to trade. It heals you by 30% of your max health so it's usually a winning trade. You also recover pretty quick so you can just whiff and then go straight into another if they come in to try and punish.
Love seeing these weapon show cases man. I find weapons i didnt know about or didnt know i wanted to use through you. Awesome stuff tho man fr always look forward to ur videos
7-3 combination is good amount. Also could you do a video on the iron greatsword. It’s moveset is meh but it has insane strength scaling.
Thanks for producing and posting this. Ordovis's Greatsword looks like its movesets are a beat faster than most other greatswords. Come to think of it, when fighting Ordovis and his sidekick their moves sure seemed extraordinary fast.

Just got the Halo Scythe to drop yesterday and a ton of those cleaner thrusting swords. Duel weilding the swords seems interesting, would love to see a showcase of any of them. Great video man, you're always enjoyble to watch. 👍🏽

Also I quite like the 10 duels personally but if most people want more invasions so be it 😌

This was awesome! You should try Rogier’s Rapier. It’s R2 has a super quick double stab and if you use it with RKR or Determination it applies to both hits.
My first run through build was 2 greatswords and jump attacks. Very effective
Definitely enjoy watching how the weapons perform in invasions and would prefer to see more. I’m honestly in for 6/4 ration.

With the faith investment and use of the Crucible armor, this build would benefit from making use of the Aspect of the Crucible incantations, which are boosted by almost 15% when wearing the full armor set.

The Godfrey Icon increases the damage of Ordovis's Greatsword ash of war since you can charge it. It works for the spear as well.
Have you done one with the Banished Knight Greatsword?
It actually uses a more correct R1 attack (in my opinion should be the baseline swing for Greatswords); all the other swings of the greatswords in general wouldnt ever be done in HEMA, but it is what it is for balance.
Does it take awhile to find your invasions chase? Ive been having a hard time finding constant invasions anywhere between 125 to 150
I made a build that held 60 in str and 50 in faith, whith 60 health and 45 endurance, my mind stat was at 30. I also had a person travel whith me sort of like tanitha but that person also had healing miracles as well as I did and we just ran through the whole game like that.
But the sword has some pretty nasty damage, and surprising hyper armour, and whith it being a greatsword a prety reliable moveset
7 duels with 3 invasions is perfect
Would love to see the Pickaxe! It's still a beast like in DS3. The trades with spear talisman are insane and sometimes one shot people. It's a weapon where you can adopt the mindset "no dodge. only trade"
I know mine will get lost in the shuffle, but I don't mind the current set up for Duel/invasions and you do adjust for short invasions. Just one more Invasion I think would make it for me. So if that's the cost of one duel. Then I'm all for it. Thanks for all the hard work and content Chase!

Do the axe of Godrick, that bad boy carried me through the game from Godrick to elden beast. It's a great quality weapon and most people dont know how to fight it. The skill has good hyper armor and trades well, usually killing anybody who panic roles in the second and third slams.
Also I miss your invasion uploads 😂 your vids r what convinced me to get xbox live and start playing Dark Souls 3 online.
While I do love a good duel and prefer that way of fighting myself, I gotta say that doing more invasions showcases the weapon better since there are more things to factor in that might be something you dont get in duels like random mobs, elevation, high/lowground among other things that makes it more realistic than a duel at the academy.
Hey Chase! Don't forget to showcase some weapon types that people don't dual wield often. Would love to see some double axe action sometime!

Sad I missed this one on release. I wonder if the spinning wind up on the ash of war has a hit box, because if you unlocked your camera and reversed yourself for the windup then spun for the strike it looks like it has decent roll catch potential depending on your opponents poise. You are more skilled than I am at this game and would be able to execute this maneuver better than myself(my reverse backsteps are still super sloppy).
The duel wield of this would’ve been crazy
I'm surprised Chase didn't try and aim away from the opponents with the ash of war to hit them with the helicopter blade wind-up
Great showcase, crucible knights are my favorite enemies in the game. 7 duels and 3 invasions seems good to me. Also I hope you'll showcase cranial vessel candlestand someday, I'm sure you'll have a blast with it

Hey Chase, how do you know how to allocate points per build? Do you use a calculator?
I always mess up the END for when I rescale.
On equip weight ratio divide the smaller number by the larger number then move the decimal of the answer to the right by two digits and that's your percentage. To get a Medium Roll you have to be below 70% For Example if you have an Equipment loadout of 88.3, your max needs to be at least 126.2 to be below 70% so just put points into Endurance until you reach that max equip load. I use the calculator on my phone. Now Talismans make a difference so you need to use the ones that you plan to use before you calculate that number.
Definitely add more invasions if possible!
Definitely a fan of more invasions with the unique AoW weapons, but I did really like seeing a variety of options with the standard weapons, so maybe you can continue with the 10/2 formula with them, idk.

I feel like the duels offer bit more varianty and are more balanced. Invasions are bit "hit or miss", sometimes there is chasing around GS+BHS with mage casting 24/7 for 5 minutes, or they die in two seconds :D
Is there anywhere or any resource to use that would make it easier for me to mess around with my stats for my equip load? I don't know if there's any more larval tears left in my version of the game but I want to allow myself to have a little bit heavier armor or give myself a bit more leeway and take stats out or move them around however I feel like, but when it comes to endurance I just want to barely hit the amount I need for my armor unfortunately I can only respec at this point, I don't want to level up anymore. So is there like an easy formula or something that can help me out with my equip load and armor and what I need to get within a certain range cuz when I bring in the talismans my brain just shuts down usually I'm good at math but I just can't figure it out for the life of me especially since I have to go into rennala and basically guess

I'd love to see you showcase a dagger soon it's a class you have yet to show. I personally suggest the glintstone Kris it's ash of war follow up r2 often catches people out I quite enjoy it. Normally with dark moon greatsword in my left so I can switch between them quickly

I'm in favor of 6:4 ratio. Duels are great to display the weapon's features in a "controlled" environment. In invasions is when you can see how the weapon performs in hostile environments.
I remember seeing this weapon a ton in the closed beta and when the game came out I have only seen like 2 people use it to this day😂
Network Test was all Beast Claw, Dragonscale Katana, and this Greatsword while wearing this Armor. Actual game, Beast Claw is aight, Dragonscale is never used, and neither is this Greatsword lol

What’s up fellow bros :) I’ve been running a RL 150 pyro using flame art scaling actually am having a lot of fun I feel they knew flame had a lot of debuff but if you invest pure faith with maybe 30 dex it nets great damage I use the fire giant incantations and lighting just for a quick jab at range if I need but to be honest mostly I can just use my nagakiba or scythe very satisfying burning away the bleed builds 😂

If you're still taking duel/invasion ratios: I would say 10 duels to 5 invasions. Idk if that's too much but I think that amount would give a great range for the showcase
you should try Sword of Night and Flame. Very fun ash of war
Invasions are where it's at (if you can even find some anymore) so I'd prefer 6-4, especially for somber weapons.
