- Check out these rad guitar pedals by Coppersound Pedals that we screen printed using epoxy inks. We used a hand make jig to hold the boxes onto the arm of our M&R Chameleon press. Check their pedals out at coppersoundped....

Thank you for posting this video. I've been working on doing this same type of thing, with the same mesh, and squeegee, and I've had good success. I learned a lot from your video. Also I learned that the ink after the catalyst is mixed in has a life of 6-8 hours in the mixing container, but only 10 minutes exposed in a thin layer to the air. Also, there is a need for a 1/16" gap between the screen and the printed substrate for it to be a regular good print. Love the video. Thank you so much.
wow never see this tek with epoxy, i need to ask you if these are epoxi paint exclusively for screenprinting or are for general purposes? looks like the epoxi automotive paints.... cheeerrrz
Bring back the mint HOODIES
I wouldn't have thought to drill the holes after painting but, I guess it makes sense.
What emolution do you use for epoxy inks? do you need something special? also to clean the screens afterwards what chemical is needed?
Nice video. How are you satisfied with Sroque? Which inks do you use on Srogue?
Thanks! The Roq is very nice, and we print both plastisol and water based/discharge with this press.
PINCHE DENVER! :)
Did you use any epoxy thinner or any gel retarder? I had trouble using just the ade epoxy ink alone. It clogged the screen up immediately. Also, what off contact and how much pressure are you using? Thanks.
what kind of ink do you use here?
I'm looking for some kind of ink to adhere to raw rosewood. Any Thoughts? it's an oily wood
Sorry I am just seeing this now, I hope you figured out your oily issue and found a suitable ink. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that would work if the substrate was oily. Let me know!
What solvent do you use to get it off the screen? Just normal press wash?
No, we ended up just trashing the mesh after the run, but it's all part of the set up so that's OK. Make sure you have A LOT of ventilation if you're going to be using this type of ink. It doesn't set up as quickly as you may think in the screen, I was able to run about 100 pedals using the same batch across about thirty minutes. Good luck!
I use Kiwo cleanline on press citrus cleaner for ADE inks. It smells really bad, I wouldn't use it in a small room. I buy it from www.midwestsign.com. They sell ink and cleaners.
1:10 Who else cringed when they saw the dog approaching the pedal?
Dude, me too.
How do you clean the screens when you are done? or do you need to make new screens?
What type of emulsion did you used? They look so good
We just ran these use Murakami HVP. I had to throw the screens away after. If you don't have good ventilation, I don't suggest running any Epoxy inks, they will make you sick.
What ink do you guy use now?
Did you thin out the ink at all or use any flow agent?
Strange Planet can do it all!
We try! Thanks for checking us out.
What additive did you use to mix with the ADE ink?
Great job and laughter
What mesh size do you use to make the small letters and stuff good looking? Do the epoxy paint stick to the glossy surface?
We used a 305 for these prints, and the ADE Epoxy is designed to adhere to metal & glass once activated.
