Amazing clear description of why the body gets out of shape the long the backswing is. I have been hitting 3/4 swing for a while with much better results recently and I wasn't sure why, thank you Peter for your excellent analysis of how a normal (non athletic) body moves with long and short swings, very well done!
Excellent job Peter on explaining and demonstrating the value of a shorter backswing! Years ago, when I was a lot younger, I had a backswing nearly as long as John Daly's. Now that I'm a super senior, I have shortened it to a 3/4 swing with the hands going no higher than the right shoulder. I may have lost some distance, but I'm now always in control of my swing. Well Done Peter! Always look forward to your lessons!
