How To Change Brake Rotors

On today's video, I decided to change the rotors on the shitbox....this car is such high maintenance! 😂 Good thing my friends over at ‪@KNfilters‬ got me the right tools to fix the job well!

I always need a breaker bar to get that bolt, too! And I've definitely removed the bolts in the wrong order. One time I actually loosened up the break line bolt. Oops :D Thankfully my brother-in-law was there to help me out and lets me work on my car at his place! This last go-round, we ended up having to drill out the rotor screw since the impact tool wasn't having it.

Yep brake cleaner is better to use for the hubs and disks but carb cleaner does work pretty good for something’s like that 4:19

Carb cleaner has lubricant in it. I would never ever use it for brake work.

@@Mr.NiceGuy80 yes it does but as a 12 year old mechanic I know what to use. I use carb cleaner on most things but brake cleaner on brakes only most the time.

I taught both my sons (38 and 40) how to change rotors and pads when they were young. My older son said he is the only person he knows that does any car work on his own, he mentioned a friend (same age, 40) who had to stop at a garage and pay someone to inflate a low pressure tire. Sad that a boy surpasses all of them for car skills. Enjoy the Italian family dynamics, (I am Scottish but married a Sicilian) . (I haven't watched enough videos yet, is food ever get mentioned? )
