Hey Celeana, you'll need to figure out the chord that accompanies the melody at each part of the song. You can do that in a few ways: you could just experiment on chords within the key and find what works, or more precisely you can look at the specific notes in the melody and see which chord they belong to. Once you've got the chords figured out, you can just start by playing the root note of each chord to accompany the melody.
@@neilchanmusic Thank you so much!! Think I almost got it now!! Since I'm learning guitar on my own without a teacher it's sometimes kinda hard to figure stuff out... So... Just one more question, I hope I don't bother you!! Will the bass notes appear on beat 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 or on all four beats or is it depending on something? And how do I recognize the key of a song? Is it the first note or will I have to look at all the notes and see in which key they fit? Also: I've watched lots of videos about arranging and yours is one of the best I've come across! Huge compliment, I really appreciate your way to teach!
When I try to arrange something I can't find the melody. I find it very hard. I pick random notes from the fretboard and I try to find it but it doesn't work. Can you make a video or give some tips for finding the melody? Thanks anyway amaizing tutorials.
Thanks for the suggestion, and I totally understand your frustration not being able to find the melody. What I will say is that it takes times and consistent practice with the basics. You need to consistently practice scales and sing the solfege syllables along with them. I have more videos on solfege that can help you along with this. But the most important tip is you must practice SLOWLY! Slow and steady wins the race. Practice fast and you're likely practicing the wrong technique.
You literally reply everyone .... Amazing lesson and thx for everything ...
You are most welcome, keep up the practicing and enjoy the process Adarsh!

@@neilchanmusic thank you for letting me ask, ah is it possible that I won't use bar chords in finger style? Thanks in advance♥️
@@diku2742 Yes, it's totally possible! But it will be limiting to not make use of bar chords. Use both open and bar chords
@@neilchanmusic thanks for the answer♥️

So like when I find the melody, how do I get the words of the song?
Words? You can google them :D
@@neilchanmusic Yes I know that lol, but like on the guitar? Like how when you listen to a arrangement you hear the words of the song.
@@inkalicious7868 hm sorry i dont really understand your question
