that first level was a prime example of troll magic for a person that does not understand trolls, also pre and post checkpoints with different switch states to cause that chaos is to funny
These levels are a lesson in how simply adding a checkpoint can make your level go from terrible to fun.

The Dog's name is Undo Dog. I always understood his name to be a pun on "Under Dog". I feel like it was even mentioned as such in the Mario Paint instruction manual, but that could be a false memory.
jetpack joyride is an autoscroll platformer for phone super old, like, first touchscreen phones. not the best thing, but fun as random play with a touchscreen just for jumps (similar to P baloon). level itself was trash for sure, even on jetpack joyride you have powerups during the way, they could at least give some P baloon during the way and made the level equally hard

Ryu, just a suggestion, but when you're editing videos please leave in at least one screen where the Level ID can be seen. That first level was cool, and I know you said it was in the popular courses section, but that's not helpful for anyone watching this weeks or months later, plus we have no idea of level title or thumbnail to look for so we can play it ourselves. I was able to find it if anyone else wants to play it: 23H-B1V-K3G
I agree. I love Ryu, but I feel like it's mildly disrespectful when any SMM2 youtuber / streamer doesn't put at least some identifier of the level that they're streaming. Ryu and others are literally making money off playing other people's creations - whether the level is actually good or not, the creator should at least get some kind of acknowledgement for having, at minimum, provided content for the streamer. And that's not even getting into your point, which I also agree with. Viewers should also be able to access a level seen in a video if they want, but how can they if there's little to no information on it?
Longtime fan, came to say the same thing. The editing is getting too aggressive. It's not only hiding level codes from viewers that want to try a cool level, and not only failing to give level creators credit, it's also making level selection devoid of context, which is making the videos less fun to watch...
Ryu gameplay footage is great sure, but the slower bits make for entertaining content too... Ryu perusing course world level select can often be quite amusing when not playing endless..just having fun with like the random picking methods, or searching for uncleared expert, what have you.
Also Ryu commenting on what a level might be like based on its name, or nationality of the creator... I mean stuff like the whole meta that Canadian level creators start you off easy but then turn to wicked enemy spam by the end of the level... Gives longtime viewers an additional level of satisfaction that anonymous, context-less level playing doesn't 😢

What the "Mario Maker" games lack is a "bad" category in addition to “easy”, “normal”, “expert” and “super expert”...
All MM needs is a simple (maybe not so simple idk) update that allows for more custom settings. Like you said maybe "most booed ratio or count", or custom runs with how many levels, startings lives, 1-ups allowed or not, uncleared only or not, skips allowed or not, etc.

Loving the jetpack joyside reference. That game stole hours from me back in the day.
I’m sure some days being a streamer is a joy, but then u run into levels like the P balloon one and ur sanity is tested. Love ur patience for levels like this and have serious respect for your talent. Always a pleasure watching

That bullet level should have ended with a false door and some sort of extension trick on a time delay. So you get through boss hell, see that door, and have just enough time to think you missed a key before a bomb goes off and the screen moves to reveal the flag.
That short/sweet lvl was amazing

@ImJuneski really I thought it was quite faithful to the best that MM could be. Bullets, one time use shooting lasers (some that fake you out), and the fireballs being the standing lasers. Thought it was cool. If grueling lol
You have to wonder why Balloon Mario is only 1×1 hitbox but Frog Mario is still two tall. A lot of people assume it's the other way around because of the sprites.
I would love Ryu to explore some troll magic in a collab with Carl or Tanuki

This video reminds me how much we need more regular hot garbage videos. That was one good thing that Mario Maker one had versus two. Most of Mario Maker twos super expert are hard and or clever but not just plain hot garbage. I wish there was a way we could just look for hot garbage and get a video of that

That’s not a good excuse to not put them in the level. It’s dumb though that the creator is forced to do the whole level without checkpoints even when they add some.

I dont think he practiced those specific levels before. They are just so similar to what he usually plays that he can clear them in 2-3 tries.
