You know it's a weird level when getting 100 coins is easier than the 8 red coins... Seriously, just dig around in the outside level until you get 30-40-something coins, mainly from the enemies (Pokies drop a blue coin each!), then just head into the pyramid. The coins in there are as easy as pie to get!
Those big moving autonomous metal cube graffiti face things are kind of trippy if you think about it. I still as an adult have no idea what they're supposed to be.
Well, they're not "meant" to be anything, just another variant of Thwomp. Same as how in the pyramid you have mummified Thwomps in cube and cylinder form! You should look up the Tox Boxes in Mario Galaxy- it's the same enemy as here, except in that game they have carved demon/ogre faces instead of graffiti smiles, so it's like 4 faces sharing a single mouth!
To anyone watching there's also a blue coin switch with three blue coins (15 total coins) in the first room where you enter the pyramid
