Thank you so much. If all goes well, I will have a circular modern contemporary home small scale as in small house that I will build for myself after much research. It will be my retirement home well deserved. I was an outstanding educator who was booted out of career and home(forclure), black balled into piggy land and dumped into a toxic tummy of boiling laughing issues. What a body! I was robbed of my retirement seed money every step of the way of saving it. Now that I have no choice but to actually go for broke and buy cheap, I am going for it. Pray for me. I'm American. 😪
Round is by far the best way to go for an earth bag home. Much more stable I am lining a dugout with earth bags and then I will line it with a yurt style interior. Videos will be uploaded once it is not like a pigsty. I worry my family.
The roofs looking great really enjoyed following the build but is it a little late in the season to start off a living roof? looking forward to another look around the farm and seeing how the chickens are getting on, maybe soon?
Great stuff, I'm building a cob roundhouse, but my father in law a 'traditional' builder reckons I can't have wider than 600 centres even at the overhang. Is this true? I've got a similar roof design to you and the house is about 5m diameter. Cheers if you can help.
Use wood noggins to reduce the gaps to about 600mm, my roof has 4 Ton on it and held up fine 👍 also alot of waste board but 18mm solid boarding over the rafters makes it joke strong
@@FieldtoFarm_UK when you say noggins, I was gonna put purlin type things, about 3 per gap, is that the same thing? The centres will be much less than 600 at the top, about 400, going down to about 1200 at the overhang. I'm not sure what the problem is but he's got me wondering now. Sorry for the ignorance but it's my first go. I really appreciate the help👍
Your directions on how to cut out the notch were as clear as mud.
Thank you for sharing your know how!
Wow! You make it look so easy..So easy that I’m starting to believe that even I can do this, lol!
U can do it 💪
Great job - well done 👍
Thanks :-)
