Hey how's it going just came across your video love the renovation of that pop up camper the interior Accent color pine green is really It's nice awesome I love it
Thanks! I wish I could tell you the size of the mattresses, but I’m unable to raise the roof right now because someone crashed into it in Washington. I’ll be doing a repair video sometime in the future when it warms up here.
I just bought the same camper . It’s in great shape but needs an awning. Do you know where I could find one? Your camper turned out great. I like the modern look. It resembles the way a lot of the van builds are done. Very nice
No laying down on the job lady! Ha ha ha ha! What type of paint did you use? And why did you use plastic to recover the seating pads? Really like the blankets & upholstery colors/look. Feminine and masculine all in the same batch. Nice
I think I have the same exact model but I have no information on it! Would you happen to have the owners manual for this particular unit or know where to find one? Called rockwood directly and they don’t carry it
Thank you! The total cost of supplies for the renovation was only $500. It’s holding up pretty well a year later after heavy use. I have some upcoming videos showing more detail about what’s worked and what could have been done differently. Please subscribe and watch those when they’re posted!
@@theartifactory3637 I sure will thanks so much. I’m definitely motivated to buy one that needs a some work. I didn’t want it to fall apart on the highway. 😬🤦🏽♀️😩
Hi I have the same camper as you, and a camper support that is the one that raises and lowers the roof of the camper got stuck and does not lower, I would like to know how to repair it, thanks
@@theartifactory3637 I can totally see how that would create an airy feel to the interior. I recently got a pop up camper which is what led me to your video. As a kid in the 1970s my family had an old camper with the wood look interior. I finally decided just to leave mine the same way for the sake of nostalgia. I did however put some nice dark wood look linoleum down over the late 1980s tile look linoleum. Which dramatically improved the looks without effecting the campy old feel. I do appreciate your video for the inspiration to just tear into it and make it happen. Thank you!
Yes! Sorry. It was hard to tell how long things were going to be on screen with the time lapse. I’ll add them to the description as well, but for the plastic trim and rubber we used Rustoleum Universal Bonding Primer, for the walls and cabinets we used Sherwin Williams Everlast Exterior for durability, for high-heat applications we used Krylon High-Heat. If it’s helpful, we also used Tec Ready to Use Floor Patch. It’s all stuff that’s available at Lowe’s.
@@theartifactory3637 hey thank you for the reply. Appreciate that 👍🏼 I’m in Australia, we don’t have Lowe’s but we do have Bunnings so I’ll start there. Thanks again , yours in camping Rhyms 🙂
@@theartifactory3637 now PUPs are even more expensive. We paid $5200 (in N. California) for a 91’ Coleman with minor updates. Most we’ve seen are between $5-7k
one of the best redo's I've seen, congrats, its beautiful!
Very nice. I just bought one that's a few years older, but virtually identical layout. This is great inspiration.
Awesome remodel, great video, that color scheme is poppin!
Amazing really like the colors y'all picked out, fanatic renovations
Thanks! The credit for all those choices goes to Girlfriend!
I love the makeover, especially the fabric choices.
Sweet Reno!! Didn’t know recovering the seat cushions was so easy!
Thanks! We, I think, found the easiest way!
Renovation is amazing. Cats are even better. They always HAVE to get in the way of any project. I love the lion cat!
I think he believes his life purpose is to be in the way.
Awesome reno. We are planning to renovate our pop up next spring and appreciate your video for ideas.
Looks great. We finished our 2002 Viking PU over the last few weeks.
Heck yeah! I hope it’s working out for you!
Love your renovation❤️ We just renovated a 2007 Freedom and love camping in ours.
You two did a awesome job!! What is your floor planks made of? How did nailing in the grooves work for you and how is it holding up?
Have to say, while watching this I thought white was a poor choice, but the finished article is amazing!! I was massively wrong! Well don’t guys!!

Great job. I would have painted the inside of the cabinet doors also.
Yeah. We’ll get around to that eventually!
Love the video!! Great work!
I just bought a 1995 Rockwood , and the layout looks the same. I was wondering what size is the mattress ?? Love the remodel ❤️

My 94 is a full and I think the other side is a double or twin
We bought full/ double size sheets for both beds. (Girlfriend here)
Nice job.
Good job!
Thank you!

Nice video - it is surprisingly roomy.

Thanks! Glad you like the upholstery! We used Everlast exterior paint. All the materials we used are in the description.

It’s magnificent!!! How is it holding up one year later and what was the overall cost ?

Cool! How long did your reno take?
It took us about six weeks.

I don’t specifically know how to fix that. The supports do need to be lubricated occasionally. I use the silicone based WD-40.
Any recommendations on mattress replace?
Nice
Does anyone ever regret painting the cabinets and furnishings white?
Did ours the same way.
So far the only slightly annoying thing is that it scuffs, but it’s really easy to clean and touch up, and it makes the space feel much more open.

Could you please post the name of the paints you used? I know you showed them for like a split second but I didn’t get to see :(

Good luck with your reno!
how much did you pay for 1997 Rockwood?
We paid $2700. Arguably too much, but it was at the beginning of the pandemic, and there was a rush on secondhand campers.

Just wondering if you replaced the original canvas? That’s what we’re considering with the one we’ve just inherited!
every remodle i watch, the ONLY color to paint the inside is WHITE :-( so boring....
