the sad part is that most people who played this game never heard this song...

No matter how bad we are at running up the outdoor areas, it's always possible to grind ludder for an orange scroll to skip straight to the holy flame. Just don't walk into it without a bell x_x .

    The soundtrack isn’t half bad!

I always thought that this music one of the best scores on the NES today. You could play this for me 25 years from now and I would know where it came from.

I loved this terrible game. I'm still a fan of it's soundtrack. I'll never forget making maps of the dungeons with my dad (and then finding out 15+ years later that they %&^@ dungeons looped and we never realized that).

Your comment reminded me.. When I caught chicken pox at 3 years old, my parents bought be this game along with the NES and a few other titles to distract me. This was the first time my mother and I worked together to beat a game. She mapped (or grinded, for Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy) and I would maneuver around the mazes. We found out that most of the deadly tower mazes looped (but not all of them) but we flipped the whole game on its head when I just randomly stumbled into parallel zones and secret rooms. At that point it almost felt like cheating.

The rest of the music for this game sucked but this tune wasn't too bad.
